rewatching 5x06 today and laughed so hard seeing the full moon already there when there’s still presumably at least multiple days to go until 5x09. tdp season drinking game should have “inaccurate but beautiful moon phases halfway through the season” and “enhanced travel time” on it

Was rewatching scenes from 5x05 and 5x06 for an Ezran meta and noticed a cute little consistency for the trio
In 5x05, the brothers disagree about what to do next (looking for the prison vs the Novablade) and look to Rayla for what to do next. She, per her admission in 5x01 that “if we can’t stop them from freeing Aaravos,” sides with Ezran, and the disagreement is solved without any further fuss. That’s the more obvious one.
However, in the next episode in 5x06 we see Ezran and Rayla also have a brief disagreement, just over Finnegrin. Rayla wants to keep away, Ezran wants to talk to him. Then Callum steps in with a compromise that lets them do both: Rayla (and Soren) can try the docks for a captain, and he’ll go with Ezran on the Finnegrin thing.
I think it’s sweet that, given usually when the team has needed a mediator it’s been Ezran for Callum and Rayla (1x03, 1x06, 4x06) that they show they can also step up do the same for their individual disagreements with him (although admittedly Rayla’s likewise done it once before in 1x09, but besides the point).
So many people are counting on me to do my duty. / A great evil is returning and we have to stop it. At any cost.

any thoughts on the keys from finnegrin?
I love how they represent tdp’s recurring threes, keys, and children’s games motifs in “Bait and Switch.”
The alliteration and the meter of “Squid, sails, and a hammerhead’s tail” evoke a children’s nursery rhyme. Ezran recites this rhyme to solve the “riddle” of the locked door to Finnegrin’s office, while playing a trick on Finnegrin and stealing his secret treasure from him.
Plus these keys just look heckin’ cool.

The visuals and particularly the music when we first set off from Scumport is absolutely one of my favourites - nothing like some pirate influence in the score!
Ezran and Soren, and Ezran and Rayla continue to be wholesome AF, but the Baitlings are most wholesome of all, I think
I love them all more than I love myself, tbh
