As in previous years, you are encouraged to create anything for SoulxMaka Week, provided it aligns with the given themes. While we request that you adhere to each day’s theme, you are free to share creations for earlier days as well.
You can express your creativity through various forms of art, such as fanmixes, illustrations, GIFs or photo collections, interpretive crafts (like knitting or jewelry), AMVs, fanfiction, or any other ideas that inspire you. As long as your work relates to the SoulxMaka Week themes and focuses on SoMa, it is welcome! However, we kindly ask that you refrain from stealing or reposting others’ work. Instead, please reblog content that isn’t yours instead of reposting, as it’s important to honor the efforts of fellow creators.
If you decide to participate, please tag your posts with “SoulxMaka,” “SoMaWeek2025,” “SoulxMakaweek,” or mention us (@soulxmakaweek) so we can easily find and reblog your creations on this blog!

Here’s me and @alcruid’s entry for Reverb 2024! If you like Hell’s Paradise, murder/gore, Soul going through the horrors, and wacky character interactions check it out hehe
Summary: Soul is sentenced to death but is visited by Maka, a head strong woman from a clan of executioners who offers him the chance to be pardoned.
He and other death row convicts are sent to the lost island to obtain BREW and bring it back to the shogun. In order to prevent escape, each convict is supervised by an executioner from Lord Death’s clan.
Rating/Warnings: M (mild violence, swearing, minor character death)
Im excited to post my controbution to the 2024 Chibi reverb! I got to work with @not-so-scandalous to write a story to go along with her amazing art! I had alot of fun and now im excited to read and admire all the writings and art of everyone who has posted. For Soul Eater REVERB! “Reverb” is “Reverse Resonance Bang,” and “Resonance Bang (Resbang)” is the Soul Eater fandom’s “big bang” community collab event! In Resbang, artists choose from a list of anonymous stories that they’re interested in illustrating, with the story being written alongside the art being created once partnerships are made. But in Reverb, it is the artist who comes up with the prompt/ideas and the writer who gets to bring them to life!
✨The theme for this year’s Reverb is “revival."✨
Writers chose from a list of anonymous prompts from the artists. The prompt I chose:
"Saudade is an emotional state of melancholic or profoundly nostalgic longing for a beloved. When thinking of revival I think of the return of something once lost. It could be anything from a minor misunderstanding to a reunion that makes their paths cross again, giving them a second chance to find themselves and who they once were together.”
The prompt was specifically intended for Spirit and Stein. :3
I mentioned that this story is an AU. My partner was @emotional-support-hufflepuff. Their art piece is actually three playlists that go on a journey through the emotions of an AU backstory for Spirit and Stein in which they’re not assigned as partners, but meet as academic rivals, become reluctant partners, and more. 👀
I have written that story here, and I hope to have done emotional-support-hufflepuff’s idea justice! I approached the storytelling like a song in the sense that its told for the most part in small verses, a bit like a through-composed piece of music. This story bounces back and forth between the two characters’ points of view, with some spots deliberately left ambiguous as to whose eyes we are seeing through, and in others it’s meant to be an overlap (both speaking at once).

Saudade
I remember the first time you walked in. You sat in the seat on the end of the front row on the opposite side of the Crescent Moon class. You were so small I couldn’t decide if I wanted to make fun of you or protect you.
The professor said you were a special transfer, and then after he praised you for your grades on the very first assignment I was jealous. I had been working too hard to be noticed by the Grim Reaper to have some hot-shot kid come in and pull the rug out from under me.
And after you looked up, met my eyes and smirked, I knew I would have to destroy you. ———
——— I remember the first time I saw you, sitting up top in the farthest seat away at the very back of the Crescent Moon class. Laughing and cocky without a care as you leaned back with your arm wrapped around your girlfriend’s shoulder, confident in a way that had me smirking. Either you really were everything you appeared to be, or you needed to be taken down a notch.
The professor said that you had competition in me, so I started paying attention. I relished the shock in your pretty blue eyes when I beat you for the highest score on the next test.
A thrill like I’d never known ran through me when I saw the cold fire in your gaze, and I knew then I’d have to destroy you. ———
Introducing my second entry for reverb! I partnered up with @bcbdrums for this and they did amazing. The story brings everything to life and I’m excited for everyone to read it.

So excited to present you with His Nine Souls for Reverb 2024! My partner @blackbloodteeth’s concept drove me to new, stratospheric, creative heights. Like, I have not had this much fun writing for a SEC. So even if it’s nonsense, just know I had a great time with this malarkey!
