Authentic VHS noise (yes, with, dissected tapes and magnets) in the new video I directed for my friends/neighbors over in Onesie. “Another Day In the Experiment” premieres at Bands Do Brooklyn today.
We have intervened in the landscape, reshaped and fragmented it. Yet it outlasts us.
ywnhx is a post-anthropocene noise film made by fragmenting video time by playing it back into a flatbed scanner and then piecing it back together frame by frame, in an attempt to capture our precarious reality and future.
We are here yet not here, already come and gone, outlived by junked cars and microplastics, under the alarm cries of foxes and fragmentary birdcalls.
