Brønderslev is a municipality (Dens, kommune) in North Denmark Region in Denmark. The municipality wis oreeginally namit Brønderslev-Dronninglund, this being the langest municipality name in Denmark. But at the municipal cooncil's first meetin they decidit tae shorten the name tae a new an shorter form: Brønderslev municipality. It covers an aurie o 630 km² an a total population o 35,525 (2008).

On 1 Januar 2007 Brønderslev Municipality wis creatit as the result o Kommunalreformen ("The Municipal Reform" o 2007), consistin o the umwhile municipalities o Brønderslev an Dronninglund. The new municipality will belang tae the new Region Nordjylland ("North Denmark Region").

The ceety cooncil is locatit in the toun o Brønderslev.
