actually what's the worst thing a doctor has said or done to you

HAAAAAA Too many to list 😭 'you don't have any of the problems listed on your medical history. You're healthy. you're just stressed' coming from a GP who'd JUST met me (he went on to prescribe me anxiety medication even though—I reiterate—he'd just met me) (I was there because my bladder hurt and I'd recently had a UTI) 'don't go thinking you can stay on contraceptives forever. You're gonna have to go off them eventually - - and on that day you'll have to use laser hair removal because that's your only choice' (insisted several times that I need to not be a brat about eventually stopping contraceptives and that my only solution was laser) (I had never even mentioned disliking my body hair?????????) (he'd also just met me) 'what patients like you don't want to hear is that your pain is your own fault because you don't exercise daily' 'you think you can just come to the doctor and we'll fix you when really you don't even have any problem beyond your lifestyle choices' (she yelled this at me after berating me for 10+ min for 'saying things that don't make sense' aka describing my chronic pain) (she'd ALSO just met me for the first time)

I don’t mean to be old but computer used to just have games. U didnt have to pay for em either but if u wanted u could get a little CD that put the game onto the computer and you could play it forever and ever even if the company that made it went to hell and shit. You didn’t even need the internet or wifi or anything. And it was pretty neat

You know the saying “It's not the destination, it's the journey”? I saw an Ai user say they "can do your hours of work in a second" and I don't think a single one of those button pushers understands that we genuinely love our craft. We love the process of creating.

I don't even do visual arts but as a writer I second this wholeheartedly. It sucks the soul out of art, and results in nothing but purely derivative works with hardly any personal perspective put into it. I would rather stop writing entirely than use AI to write my stories.
