This cat strikes me as both fascinated by the sensation of the rain - the smell, sound, and feel of it - and completely mortified by the fact that it comes with being wet
This cat is like “I am enjoying approximately 75% of this experience but I’m not sure if it’s worth that other 25%”
So, while I lived in Cali, I learned two ways to tell if it’ll rain. One day, walking to school with some of the kids in my trailer park, I pointed out the abnormal amount of crows that were there. The little Hispanic girl said either someone was going to die, or it would rain.
It rained for the first time in three years that day. Living in Arkansas now, I’ve seen abnormal amounts of crows just before a horrible storms.
In Cali, one day traveling to a friend’s after buying goat feed, we say dozens of tarantulas migrating all towards higher ground. My friend stated they do that before storms.
It rained and thundered all that night, even though it was bright and sunny when we saw the spiders.
I haven’t seen tarantulas in Arkansas, though.
Just some interesting things I figured, may be useful for someone.
