I love his hat, it makes him feel unreal, like someone fever dreamed him up or smth. I also love that mclennon hat fic. It had major girl who hates her boyfriend's new favorite sweater energy
it's too small for his head but also it makes him look like a little gnome man who lives in a mushroom in your back garden and grants you wishes. i don't know the fic you're talking about, but the hat sharing does make me think of the second verse of this cat cohen song which perfectly observes the stealing a guy you fancy's hat maneuvre
