Remember this in 7 weeks: it’s Holy Week, Easter is in 4 days. It’s Maundy Thursday, commemorating Judas’s betrayal of Christ. The Lenten Fast is almost over, the Feast of feasts of the Christian year. Bomb sirens go off, deafening explosions, hundreds around you perish, thousands are injured and maimed, days of mourning and chaos and aircraft noises terrorizing the streets.

That’s what happened on Orthodox Easter in 1999 when NATO bombed Serbia on Pascha. The devil hates Pascha, the devil hates man.

Pray for the souls who perished on that day, and pray even for those who betrayed the Christians. May God be merciful to us sinners.

We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the age to come. Amen.

I haven’t been online much since the fires that got real close to my house. My home was surrounded by flames but thank God we were spared our lives. I hope you guys were not affected, and if you were, may God guide you and angels help you in your recovery from such a tragedy.

I also found out that I’m pregnant! I’m only ten weeks along so it’s still early but please pray for my little family and the health of my child.

May God forgive us and be merciful to us all!
