The "abundance" thing is driving me insane not only because it's stupid (you can read in many other places how it's stupid) but because Klein and Thompson are positioning it as a radical new angle for the Democratic Party when what the policy prescriptions boil down to is "we need to bury the social justice agenda and deregulate the economy." How is that not just Clintonism??? Are Democrats ever going to have a new idea that isn't just warmed-over Clintonism????? This shit worked one time and has had demonstrably, now catastrophically, diminishing returns in every subsequent election for the past thirty years but the Atlantic is still paying people to be like "wait, guys, I've got something." I am once more appealing for my friend Ayah! She has tried to keep a brave face this Eid and has bought new clothes for her small children to bring them joy, but in reality, she is wracked with anxiety over the future. The fundraiser that they are relying on is not getting any donations. The situation is incredibly dire.
Since their old fundraiser was shut down, their new fundraiser has only raised €3,219 out of their goal €50,000 in 4 months of campaigning. This is not nearly enough for anyone to live off of, let alone a whole family living through a genocide where the cost of living is skyrocketing due to the scarcity of food, medicine, and supplies.

People really don't understand how ridiculous that no Israeli tried to resist the genocide while being literally right next to it, that's like if Philadelphia was being bombed nonstop for months and people in NYC just went about their lives normally. Like they really did not care. Palestine is a small place, israelis could have gone to right outside gaza's borders and back to their houses in a day if they wanted. They could have organized like a weapons blockade or blocked the road to air bases but no one did anything. They were literally right there. Tel Aviv is like an hour from Gaza. It has like 4 million people. No one cared. Literally mind boggling to me.
