I feel like ppl don’t give Lucien nearly enough grace or the space to be anything but perfect and he’s just expected to be this super sweet, understanding and calm person all the time and that’s just not really fair or who he really is?? Lucien being a good person ≠ being perfect. Idk why he’s characterized as this passive, people pleaser when he’s been shown time and time again to be someone who’s very forthcoming with his opinions and feelings. If he doesn’t like something you WILL know. If he’s frustrated or angry he WONT stay quiet. He’s a gentleman with great manners and is very understanding sure but he’s not a doormat?? Being super understanding and accommodating to other people’s needs/feelings all the time is exhausting and can feel frustrating when no one seems to reciprocate the sentiment. And from what we’ve seen, no one reciprocates Lucien’s goodness back to him and he’s allowed to be bitter about that, doesn’t mean he’s a bad person!!

He’s allowed to be frustrated/bitter about his situation with Elain and still understand she needs space. He’s allowed to be angry at Feyre whilst acknowledging how he failed her. He’s allowed to be angry at Tamlin for all the shit he did to him and still hate himself for leaving him. He can be a good, understanding person whilst rightfully being angry. His life fucking sucks let him be angry 😭!!

And ngl I often see this sentiment being pushed when it comes to Elucien’s potential story. like oh Lucien totally understands Elain despite barely having two convos with her and he’s totally cool with her ignoring him for two years and once she’s ready he’ll be totally open and cool and fine with it—why is THAT much expected of him??? why is that level of understanding and compassion and none of the built up hurt and confusion expected of him??

Like he’s a person. Yes, he will be different than Rhys/Cassian and he’ll be understanding and caring but expecting him to seriously not gaf to this extent is just mean. He’s allowed to be apprehensive and hurt and not The Perfect Mate 100% of the time.

Continuing to explore the Archerons pre- and post-transformation into Fae, this time with Nesta. I like to think her eyes lost some of those icy blue hues in favor of silver. Also my hot take (forgive me) is that I don't vibe with the intricate braided updo: she hates being Fae at the start, she has no time to look that put-together. Idk I just think beautiful women should be allowed to go feral and burn the world down a little

At that moment, still clad in leather armour, his hair dishevelled from exercise, his tall figure standing half a head taller than he was, Lucien thought he looked like spring: devastatingly beautiful, charged with possibility, indomitable.

"I forgive you, whether you deserve it or not, that's trivial. There's no room in my heart for anything else. Do you want me to say something diferrent? To fight and argue until we hurt each other? I can do that, Mother knows I have enough anger to last for years. Do you want me to make you bleed? Who do you think will be the one to heal the wounds? We have much to talk about, but no, Lucien, I won't deny you my forgiveness, not now, not ever. It's yours, you've earned it long ago."

How are we feeling friends? So normal, right? Ok, bye.

The way Nat sobs like a little kid in this scene absolutely broke me. We have never seen Nat openly sob like this— not when her dad died, not when the plane crashed, not when Javi or Jackie died, not even when she killed Coach. This is Nat finally losing any hope or resolve that she had left.

My modern AU for Tam and Lucien is that Tamlin wants to be a music/theater kid and his dad wants him to do sports, so he's a big buff jock who builds backdrops for the college or community theater that Feyre is involved in.

He and Lucien have been BFFs since childhood and Lucien is a stylish guy who wants to be a model or actor. In this AU, Lucien has a crush on Tamlin and I imagine they'd get to be gay ever after together.
