Creator Highlight #11 - @labellefleur-sauvage
Today we'd like to highlight @labellefleur-sauvage! We were so delighted when she came up on the wheel of fate, because @labellefleur-sauvage writes, consistently, some of the most interesting fan fictions in the community. She has no shortage of creativity, which makes picking three of her works incredibly tricky- all of them are so interesting, so fun, and SO well-written!
@labellefleur-sauvage captures the essence of Elain and Lucien, regardless of the setting. They might be in the mortal lands meeting for the first time, or an ancient mummy and a modern archeologist- no matter the time or place, they are ALWAYS recognizably Elain and Lucien.

Slowly, Lucien turned his head and his gaze found hers. Everything quieted. The house’s inhabitants were gathered around Lucien, talking about what he could expect, but Elain focused only on the male in front of her. She tried to convey her apology and sorrow and want with her eyes, frozen with indecision and unable to say what she wanted.
Lucien stared back at her, and while she could so clearly see his own sadness and longing reflected in his brilliant russet eye, he gave her a small, slow bow and turned away. Elain’s stomach dropped. He was going to leave her, and Elain would be stuck in this house like a neglected piece of furniture, without the one being who had a hope of truly understanding and listening to her. She took a half step down the stairs at the same time Lucien turned to Rhys and nodded his head…

Welcome back to Elucien Creator Highlights!! We want to take a moment to recognize the amazing individuals in our fandom who kindly use up so much of their free time and creative energy to share their work with us!
Today we'd like to highlight @wilde-knight! If you've never met or spoken with @wilde-knight, you're missing out on talking to one of the sweetest, brightest lights in the elucien fandom. Unfailingly supportive, exceptionally kind, and with a wicked sense of humor to boot, @wilde-knight consistently keeps the elucien space fun, friendly, and welcoming.
@wilde-knight is, like so many others we've highlighted, also incredibly talented. Her words read like poetry, breathing life into characters so they feel more like friends you've known your entire life than letters on a page. Her fics are like coming home, her worlds familiar even when they're wholly unlike our own.

An Elucien Fairy tale inspired by A Princess Bride
Listless and uninspired, Elain moves to a small town looking for a new beginning. While still trying to shake off a dark cloud of loneliness, she catches glimpses of a beautiful stranger. Chalking him up to an apparition she created to ease the weight of her own mind, Elain takes her first steps at re-engaging herself with the world by signing up for a tour foraging in a nearby forest, and who is the guide but her own handsome stranger.
TL;DR Elucien make out in the woods.
When Elain loses her career-driven job and her presumed boyfriend in one devastating moment, her fall from grace is anything but graceful. In a desperate move to pick her floundering life up off the floor, she agrees to take a temp job working at a family-run farm over maple season. Can she make the wayward brother melt with the winter snow? Or will she remain frozen in defeat forever?

I wanted to find a cute lil quote to go with these, but instead just know that this was inspired by reading all of Separatist_Apologist 's Elucien fanfics. (specifically The Last of the Real Ones, I have so many highlights in my books app) It wasn't the ship I was looking for but I am obsessed now.
The wip I posted yesterday got so much love, but the one thing that I loved seeing tagged was "pythian's ass" so thank u for loving Lucien's peach as much as I do. It's canon now, sorry sjm.
I couldn't decide if I liked it better as just a sketch or with coloring so you get both. 💛

In collaboration with @crazy-ache, we commissioned @dangerouslovesong to create this beautiful Elucien piece.
The vision: we have become a little obsessed with 1970-80s romance clinch covers. Not only are the poses romantic and sensual, but the artistry is exquisite. When @dangerouslovesong started her hand at Elucien fanart a few months back, she told me she was inspired by those covers and wanted to try tackling this challenging style. So, a few weeks ago, we all put our heads together to come up with a design and she executed this really magnificent piece!
She even did a worn book cover version!
We thought what with the book announcement looming and fandom getting tense, having a little dreamy version of our own Elucien book would be fun. I personally think she captured the romanticism of the art style perfectly.

Lucien had never been to the Continent. Growing up, his tutors had dutifully lectured him about the intricate and long—and dreadfully boring—histories of the Faerie kingdoms across the sea, and how foreign their lands were from those in Prythian. Lucien remembered absolutely none of it. He was the youngest son of a High Lord, with no hope of ever needing to retain this information—why did he need to know of the economic policies of Rask, or whether Vallahan was experiencing a lower crop haul than average? No, he would be much better off learning all there was to know about the six other Courts that comprised his home land, to make allies and friends with the fae who might actually benefit him later on.
He mentally cursed himself for the hundredth time just that morning and tried to remember as much information from his studies of this strange Fae land as possible. Any information would be a boon at this point. All he and Elain has tried to do was enter the great walled city of Montesere’s capital early in the morning, and been immediately stopped by the city’s guards.
“Good morning,” Elain had murmured demurely to the faes holding swords longer than her torso.
The sharp clang of the guard’s metal armor straightening met their greeting. “What business do two Prythians have in Montesere?” a guard asked in a guttural accent. Her dark sharp eyes were narrowed with distrust, her frowning lips framed with deep grooves of disgust.

@vulpes-fennec has so many lovely stories, including her Prythian Fantasia WIP which centers on the Archeron sisters and their mates 😍
@popjunkie42 has yet to dip her toes into writing Elucien but maybe one day we can convince her 👀👀 That said she has so many amazing Feysand works such as Hate Me Instead and her current WIP Blossoming In Winter.
Likewise my dearest friend @wilde-knight has only written Elucien and Nessian, but I can't recommend her works and blog enough!! She's working on an amazing Princess Bride AU called Burnished Gold
@captain-of-the-gwynriel-ship is a die-hard Feysand, Elucien, Gwynriel, and Nessian! Currently they're working on a Feysand fic Five Minutes to Midnight which also features background Elucien!
@octobers-veryown creates so many wonderful moodboards for variuos ships and characters! I cannot recommend following them enough💕
And finally @rosanna-writer, @reverie-tales, @thesistersarcheron, and @starfall-spirit are my multishipping queens 🥰 On their blogs you'll find wonderful content for Feysand, Elriel, Elucien, and other ships as well!
