How crazy would it be to say that Vivi used to be a big fanboy of Beau before the two met. Because of the perfumes and stuff. And that technically he knew almost absolutely everything about him (he was obsessed with him, to describe it in a way)

But when they met in person he just acted like he wasn't so as not to boost his ego.

And over time the fanaticism fell away after discovering his "true" personality.

But he still gradually grew to like him.

You can still find several posters, and a gigantic collection of perfumes of his brand in his room. That's why only two people are allowed to get in (Bun and T)

beau would never find out about the obsession unless he could gauge it from vivis behavior when they first meet. Bro is good at reading people but like we've seen before (read back to the beau/Vivi comic) VIVI is especially hard for him to read. Something something you'd think you'd know yourself but not really sort of deal.

But honestly, I can see beau giving Vivi perfume and his merchandise at first as like, soulless gifts for an acquaintance but Vivi just fangirling on the inside and going "this is going in the drawer under the bed"

I love that Vivi fell for it, tho. Like....he fell for the public version of beau at first, the beautiful version, the calm and graceful and marble statue version. But when he meets him I bet he was so DISAPPOINTED. And yet, he would probably understand it. Show business and all- marketing is the same thing, he was just a dummy to fall for it like everyone else.

Yet yet yet, he managed to see past the prickles and find the sweetness inside beau. He managed to break down his view of him TWICE, to see him as he really was. Aaanndd he fell in love with that (if you could call their situationship "love", its more like "something worse" but i digress).
