‏“Malika: A New Hope Amid Hardships”

‏Our family eagerly awaited the arrival of our granddaughter, and today, Malika, our beautiful baby girl, has arrived, but in circumstances more difficult than we could have imagined. She was born amidst the ongoing struggles in Gaza, where we had hoped her birth would mark the beginning of a new chapter of hope.

‏Malika, whose name means “angel,” came to us as a symbol of hope in the midst of pain, as if she were a message from above that better days may be near. Unfortunately, Malika hasn’t been able to get the milk she needs from her mother due to a lack of nutrition. Therefore, we urgently need to provide her with formula milk, which has become increasingly expensive.

‏Additionally, we are facing significant challenges in obtaining diapers, as their prices have soared more than twenty times what they used to be. Currently, we are covering her with a simple towel due to the high cost of blankets, which isn’t sufficient to keep her warm in the harsh weather.

‏You are our family and friends, and we rely on your support in this difficult moment.

‏Your donations can make a real difference in Malika’s life and help us provide the milk, clothes, and warm coverings she needs. Today is the birthday of my beloved niece, Marmar, who has turned four years old. Little Marmar, who always fills our hearts with joy, was eagerly waiting to wear her new dress and cut her favorite birthday cake. However, this time, due to difficult circumstances and rising prices, we couldn’t celebrate as she deserves.

The cost of cakes has surged to more than ten times its usual price, and even the simplest things like dresses and gifts have become out of reach. Yet, little Marmar still dreams of a birthday cake, a new dress, and a gift to make her happy on her special day.

this tiktok does a good job of summing up the family’s situation. the nursery pictured used to be the biggest nursery in gaza city, the main source of the family’s income and afaf put immense hard work and care into it until it was destroyed by the war. i can’t imagine how devastating it must be to see your entire livelihood destroyed like that.
