Dax the Magic Dragon

Howdy! My name's Dax, and I'm a big fat queer space cowboy who does art, gaming, and more! This is my personal blog.

SIDEBLOGS

You can find my art blog @desertdraggon

I may not art as much anymore, but I still collect inspiration and references, so here are my sideblogs (some new) where I compile ref reblogs, so you can use them too! @tower-trends

Post Destiny 2 fashion blog, now just straight up fashion blog. Clothing, outfits, designer, weapons, trinkets, embroidery, etc. If you're looking for some outfit inspo, I'd suggest a browse.

Post Destiny 2 character RP, now a nature photography blog. Overgrowth, undergrowth, city decay, sunsets, flowers, etc. I use a lot of these for painting references.

NEW I made this to separate out the character art I'd been reblogging to tower-trends, to keep more organized. These are art pieces by other artists that look bitchin as hell (imho) so I want to save them for inspo for my own characters.

NEW An animal reference blog, again made to separate out the animal, bug, critter photos and art from other blogs. Unique animals for fursonas, fashion, memes, etc. Furry paradise.

Post Overwatch RP blog, now a cowboy aesthetic blog. Yee and dare I say haw. Nothing but desert photos, cowboys, and horses.

A home decor and architecture blog. If you wanted more building references, or ideas on what to fill that house with, that's what this blog is for. I also try and upload my own photos of Thrift Store Plates that I think are neat, for preservation and inspiration. They are free to use images, so you can do what you please with them.

Not really drawing art reference, but it's a music and dice blog. I reblog audio posts and neat dice here, so I can listen to music I find when I have the time to, without it getting lost in the sauce. Also dice.

so as you might have guessed because I said I was camping in the woods to avoid getting sick (lol):

someone in my household has covid unfortunately but we did manage to get them a Paxlovid subscription. they’re uninsured, and even GoodRx coupons only brought the cost down to $1,300 USD.

I thought to check the drug manufacturer website and quickly signed up online through its portal and received a pharmacy card by email that lowered the cost to $0

There are also options for insured patients to dramatically lower their copays. I’m in the U.S., and I’m unsure whether this is applicable elsewhere, but I wanted to share this info on access to potentially lifesaving medication, for anyone it may help!

This is the worst Eid I have ever experienced in my entire life. I lost all my friends in the war and I am left alone here suffering from the pain of loss. I used to go and visit my friends, but today I went to their homes and found their mothers collapsing from crying and grieving over the loss of their sons. We used to meet and go out and spend a pleasant time together, but unfortunately today I went and visited them in the cemetery and sat next to them all day crying from the intensity of my pain and regret. How difficult this feeling is for me and I cannot bear it!!! 😭

Did you know? (Art by CheekyFaceStyles)

Did you know that queer people, including us bisexuals, have always existed and will always exist year round, regardless of visibility, acceptance, or legal recognition? Existing as bisexual isn’t a phase, a fraction, or a footnote in history it’s a continuous, undeniable part of humanity, woven into every culture, generation, and community. Despite myths, phobia, and erasure, we are everywhere in every industry, every movement, and every corner of society. Our existence shouldn’t be erased from history. We shouldn’t be left out of conversations or fade away when it’s inconvenient, nor does our identity disappear when representation slips from view. We are not some kind of 'in between'; we are whole, valid, and valued. The question isn’t whether we belong, because we do. The real question is how we ensure that our presence is impossible to ignore, our contributions are fully recognized, and our community is strengthened by the truth that we have always been here and always will be.
