hello all! welcome to the letterbox archives! i am your humble archivist, letters! i’ve been around the archives for as long as i can remember, exploring every part of it to find all the stories it has to share. it seems to go on forever – stories as far as the eye can see!

as the archivist, it’s my job to catalogue every story and uncover every section of the letterbox archives. if you’d like to read the stories being found around here, links are handily provided below (sorted into volumes), as well as information about the archives, should that interest you!

God, I WISH I could tell you anything about the villain and how hot they actually are, maybe even show their aesthetic, but they are a HIDDEN villain!

RFtA is in good part a mystery series, and the overarching villain (not necessarily the villain of Book 1 lol) is someone who'll show up more than once before their identity as the person behind everything is revealed.

So I guess you just gotta figure out which hot person they are.

Seriously, ask @the-letterbox-archives. They can tell you allllllllllll about it >;D

it’s even harder when the villain is incredibly hot except for one major turn off (for me at least. idk maybe someone’s into it.), so i’ve been tortured with the information yes

age: eleven (11)

gender: male

family: rayaan (father), fawn (adopted sister)

*cultivation ability: in training

*cultivators are magic-users! they're able to control external factors of the world using magic they gain from the food they eat!

personality

rocking the boat isn't a very common or acceptable thing in aestelwic, but if malicious compliance had a name, it would be jericho. well-intentioned at his core, but curiousity kills the cat, doesn't it? jericho is kind if not brash, witty if not sharp-tongued, experimental if not down right risky. he's a good kid, most say, they just hope he stays on the right track.

history

jericho was born to his father rayaan and an unknown mother, who is not discussed. in his youth, he was tutored on-and-off by rayaan in cultivation, and for his age he is quite exceptional; he remains in practice to this day. also in his younger days, maybe six or seven years ago, rayaan found fawn and subsequently adopted her, and jericho took this with open arms, happily bonding with his new sister and teaching her the ways of aestelwic.

Snippet Sunday!

Today’s snippet Sunday is gonna be pretty short, since I’ve had a slump lately, but here’s one of the songs that Pamela and Zinnia came up with in the most recent chapter. I think I might actually have written some decent lyrics this time, which is huge, because song writing is not my forte at all. This is Pamela and Zinnia’s only song so far that is explicitly about being aromantic, and being devalued by society because of it:

*cultivators are magic-users! they're able to control external factors of the world using magic they gain from the food they eat!

personality

fawn is a humble and quiet girl. yes, some may use those words to describe her incredibly anxious and high-strung behaviours. desperate to feel accepted and useful, fawn is often dealing with extreme amounts of stress. this, combined with her reserved nature means she is both a people-pleaser and very lonely. she hopes that one day she'll be cherished in her community, but until then, she will do anything to be good, to prove herself.

history

fawn was not born in aestelwic, instead found in her early days outside the village by rayaan. she doesn't know anything about her biological family, and accepts rayaan and jericho as her kin. she isn't concerned about what was, instead she constantly strives to earn her place in aestelwic's society under the roof of her newfound family. she is able to cultivate, but her skills are under average, and not many are concerned about teaching her.

symbols

Sunflowers, how shy they are in the night. Fawn fell to that mind, stolen by the crimson moonlight. When the world exists for one to be safe in, that world becomes all they’ve known. Fawn was safest in the day, in the presence of humble, stunning sunflowers. The night? It was unfamiliar. Her eyes were too open.
