Evil

Evil premiered on Sept. 26, 2019, on CBS. It stars Mike Colter as David Acosta, a Catholic priest, and Katja Herbers as Kristen Bouchard, a forensic psychologist. At the start of the series, David hired Kristen to help him and Ben Shakir (played by Aasif Mandvi) determine whether cases of purported demonic possession were actually instances of mental illness.

Over the course of the supernatural show’s run, David, Kristen and Ben often have come up against Leland Townsend, an agent of evil who is determined to thwart their good work in the world. In turn, Leland is often flummoxed by Sister Andrea (played by Andrea Martin), a feisty nun who is able to see demons where others cannot.

The cast also includes Christine Lahti as Kristen’s mother, Sheryl; Kurt Fuller as Kristen’s therapist, Dr. Boggs; and Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco and Dalya Knapp as Kristen’s daughters Lynn, Lila, Lexis and Laura, respectively.  

Evil moved to Paramount Plus at the start of Season 2; it now can be found on the streamer.
