Completely ignores how 4chan’s Nazism preceded and directly influenced the Nazism of every site she mentioned and then suggests 4chan stopped being relevant to white nationalist politics after 2009 when you know, the alternative right’s push for Trump began on 4chan in 2015. Then spawned an even more openly neo-Nazi harassment board 8chan that was targeting organizers with intimidation, stalking and threats for years.
Girl 4chan was the place for several years where you could openly make Holocaust and lynching jokes without any repercussions. Other sites at least pretended not to allow that type of content, because they were moderated and you couldn’t hide behind anonymity. You would be banned and maybe even doxxed for attempting the same type of discourse elsewhere on the internet at that time. 4chan was the cultural vanguard of online American neo-Nazism - it was not only ahead of the trends, it innovated and disseminated those trends.
Just wrong on every single detail, impressive.
