The paper describes all steps from 3D model construction to 3D model interactive viewing using Word and PowerPoint. Interactivity was obtained using the Deep Exploration software for creating and delivering virtual products. Presented solution is an interesting tool for 3D model interactivity that can be used for presentations, training materials and virtual exhibitions.

Automatic shape acquisition technologies evolved rapidly in recent years, and huge mass of 3D data can be easily produced. The high accuracy of range scanning technology makes the Cultural Heritage domain one of the ideal fields of use of these devices. Given this particular application domain, two issues arise: how to visualize at interactive rates these complex data on commodity computers (both locally and on web), and how to improve the ease of use of the visualization tools (as potential users are often not expert with interactive graphics). We present a new visualization system designed to support easy implementation of multimedia kiosk for museums or expositions, which has also been extended to web-based usage. The system allows naive users to inspect a large complex 3D model at interactive frame rates on off-the-shelf PC's, presenting the 3D model and all the multimedia data that has been linked to selected points of its surface. A main goal in the design of the system was to provide the user with a very easy and natural interaction approach, based on a straightforward "point and click" metaphor. Visualization efficiency is obtained by adopting a continuous level-of-detail (LOD) representation, where on-line automatic selection of the best-fit level of detail (according to the current view frustum) is coupled with visibility culling and ready-to-render representation of the geometry.
In this paper a framework of building a model generator for interactive walkthrough visualization is presented. The design includes simple graphical user interface, model generator, interactive database as well as display management which can be used for visualization system. The paper describes how to input data by interactive framework from a user and bi-directional interaction between a user and an application. A technique to manage data through dynamic array, link-list and serialization is implemented. The authors also present a technique to generate 3D model data and saving data with binary and text format for retrieval to synchronize the visualization algorithm. The implementation of a prototype algorithm of visualization system produces insight visualization of three-dimensional geometric data through effective interactive display of virtual 3D virtual environment.

Traditional digital libraries have proved to work well with one-dimensional data such as reports and two-dimensional data such as images. However, handling three-dimensional (3D) data in digital libraries is relatively new and faces many challenges such as: efficient storage, fast retrieval, and a user-friendly search and discovery process. We have previously developed a prototype for a digital library framework for 3D models (3DLIB) that supports compressed storage, along with progressive retrieval of 3D models. In addition, the prototype supports search and discovery services that are tuned for 3-D models. In this paper we introduce a new service to browse large number of 3D models based on their shapes. For this we develop a clustering algorithm based on a similarity measure to group similar models. We present results of using our browsing scheme on a test bed digital library.
