We are spirited citizens of the world, and inside each
and every one of us is an unwavering desire to learn,
explore, and discover how we can make an impact;
not just in the business world, but the world we all live in.
Through determination, courage, and our innate ability
to connect with others, we will push the boundaries
of what the past has told us was possible. We will not wait
for the future to come to us, but carve, craft, and create
it ourselves. It’s in our DNA, it’s what Hult students do.

OUR HISTORY
Our legacy of providing a globally relevant and practical
education has made us the world’s largest ranked
graduate business school. We bring our graduate
approach to the undergraduate experience.
Hult attracts an extraordinarily
diverse student body who hail from
all corners of the globe.
1964—A practical business education
In 1964, the school was established as
America’s first corporate university, then known
as the Arthur D. Little School of Management
(ADL). ADL focused on delivering a practical
business education for managers. The
teaching pedagogy was different because
it emphasized “Action Learning”—applying
classroom theory in the real world. This
methodology has been honed for over
50 years and is central to Hult’s
pioneering approach to practical business
education today.
2003—The world’s most
international business school
In 2003, one of Europe’s most successful
entrepreneurs, Bertil Hult, provided critical
financial support to expand the school’s
innovative teaching methodology to go
beyond simply training students to become
effective managers by also preparing them
to thrive on a global stage. Believing that
students must experience cultural differences
and international business practices firsthand,
Mr. Hult grew the school from its single
Boston location to a global network of home
campuses including San Francisco, London,
Dubai, and Shanghai and a rotation center in
New York, under the name Hult International
Business School.
6
Bringing the graduate experience
to undergraduate
Today, Hult is the world’s largest ranked
business school, which shows that the
school’s vision of a practical and innovative
business education is truly compelling.
The undergraduate program at Hult is distinct
because it brings a graduate-school approach
to the undergraduate experience. In terms
of classroom pedagogy, capstone projects,
and exposure to real-world challenges,
the undergraduate experience delivers the
same kind of innovation that has built Hult’s
reputation as a top-ranked graduate school.

Rotation between the
U.S. and Europe*
Terrific downtown locations
in London and San Francisco
Our reputation as one of the
world’s top business schools
stems from the fact that we
are 100% focused on teaching
international business. This means
that each of our campuses and
our curriculum are specifically
tailored to the needs of students
who want to explore the global
economy. Hult’s top-5 rankings
in International Business and
International Experience by the
Financial Times (2014) reflect
our commitment to business
education in a global context.
Hult is the only business school in
the world with full undergraduate
programs in both the U.S. and
U.K. That means you could spend
four years in San Francisco, or
four years in London, or any
combination between the two.
Every year, you have the choice
to study at either campus.
Whichever campus you study
at, you will earn a U.S. degree
accredited by the New England
Association of Schools and
Colleges (NEASC).
Both San Francisco and London
Hult campuses offer ultra modern
facilities and central city locations.
On campus, expect a study
environment equipped with
state-of-the-art technology and
excellent educational amenities.
When classes are over for the day,
Hult’s prime locations enable you
to enjoy all that these world-class
yet student-friendly cities
have to offer.

Unrivaled global perspective
Today’s global economy rewards
people who can traverse
borders, understand cultures,
and operate in international
contexts. Hult provides you with
an unrivaled, intimate global
experience, working alongside
peers of 140 nationalities who
collectively speak 105 languages.
At Hult, you’ll learn from a faculty
with American, European, and
emerging-market expertise. Hult
students graduate with the ability
to thrive in international business
and adapt rapidly to changing
global environments.
Hands-on business
experience
Unlike other business schools that
are research-oriented, many of
Hult’s faculty have real-world
experience. Some have worked
for companies like P&G, Sony,
and Credit Suisse, while others
have run their own businesses
or created their own patents.
Furthermore, Hult helps students
develop real-world skills by
challenging them to complete very
practical capstones, including
Action Projects, internships, and
the Hult Impact Challenge.
Top-ranked business school
Hult continues its rapid ascent
in business school rankings,
currently placed in the top one
percent of all business schools.
Hult is ranked 34th in the U.S.
and 59th in the world by The
Economist (2013) and 61st in
the world by the Financial
Times (2014).
Potential to accelerate
your studies
Hult’s flexible curriculum and
academic calendar spanning
12 months give students who
would like to graduate quicker the
option to complete their degree
in 3 years. More than half of our
students take advantage of this
accelerated path by participating
in summer classes.
Personalized attention
We pride ourselves on delivering
effective counseling to each
and every student in our
undergraduate program on
matters ranging from academic
choices, to career paths, to
student life. This student-centered
approach is reflected in our
excellent student retention and
graduation rates (nearly 90%
of the class entering in 2010
graduated in 4 years). Students
are given the support needed
to succeed.

Starting an undergraduate degree is a big step
and a rite of passage for both students and parents.
We’re here to make your transition to this new stage
of life as seamless as possible.
Pleased to meet you
Far from home, but still secure
Our considerable experience has helped us
craft an introduction process that gets you
up and running quickly. During the first two
weeks, new students have orientation.
The first week is called “Welcome Week”
and consists of a series of team-building
activities in which you bond with your fellow
first-years and get to know your new urban
surroundings. During the second week, you
participate in workshops to sharpen your
study skills. You also meet with your academic
advisors, learn about the courses, and register
for the Fall Term.
London and San Francisco are two of
the most exciting cities in the world.
For a newcomer who dreams of exploring
artistic, historical, and cultural delights, these
two cities can feel a bit like the center of the
universe. All new students live in dedicated
Hult Residences to foster a sense of
community and campus life. Our students’
safety and security is something Hult takes
very seriously. We are always available to
advise you on how to move safely around the
city. Our extensive experience with international
students means that we can provide
everything from medical insurance coverage
to visa assistance and general support for
students living abroad.
At Hult, we know your name
We pride ourselves on delivering personalized
attention to each and every student in our
undergraduate program. Academic advisors
guide you throughout the year with sessions
to help you select the right courses and chart
your career path. Caring professors and
attentive staff at Student Services, the Dean’s
office, and Career Services have your best
interests in mind, and are more than willing to
lend their support.

Moving away from home to attend an
undergraduate program is a big step.
Moving to a different country can be even more
daunting. Hult has decades of experience
accommodating the needs of international students.
One big international family
There are enough challenges in a student’s life
without adding feelings of isolation to the mix.
With that in mind, part of our job in hosting
a predominantly international student body
is to ensure that nobody feels “foreign.” Our
relatively small undergraduate class size allows
our teachers and staff to get to know each
student, which helps you feel more at home
in your new surroundings. We happily help
students with suggestions, from travel tips to
recommending the best food in town.

San Francisco is a breathtakingly pretty city with a thriving

A culture of independent thinkers
and entrepreneurs
As a Hult undergraduate, you can choose our
home campus in San Francisco to start your
Bachelor of Business Administration. During
each academic year of your degree program,
you can choose to remain in San Francisco
or study in our second home campus for
undergraduates in central London. Our
curriculum is structured such that credits are
fully transferable and the transition between
home campuses is seamless. This is an ideal
way to enjoy the best that the U.S. and the
U.K. have to offer and provides a unique way
to experience the global classroom.
San Francisco’s multiculturalism and strongly
open-minded culture have bred a dynamic and
entrepreneurial environment that celebrates
tolerance and diversity. As a result, the city has
been a magnet for independent thinkers and
a hotbed of the “new economy” where the
dot-com revolution began and where a strong
“start-up” culture exists. Small businesses with
fewer than 10 employees and self-employed
firms make up 85% of the city establishments.
A number of famous brands have been born
in the city—from Levi’s blue jeans and casual
clothing giant Gap Inc. to the hottest social
media companies like Twitter. San Francisco is
also the primary banking and finance center of
the West Coast.
Be charmed by San Francisco
With fog-capped hills, blue sparkling waters,
quaint cable cars, and vibrant neighborhoods,
San Francisco possesses the atmosphere
of a small town—which it is, at just seven
square miles (18km2) and with a population of
800,000. Long considered one of America’s
prettiest cities, San Francisco is a compact
and walkable city filled with cafés, shops,
bookstores, restaurants, museums, and parks.
Eco-friendly and full of fashionable, trendy
types, it’s no wonder that students from all
over the U.S. and the world have flocked to
San Francisco to start their lives.

Study in the epicenter of
the high-tech world
San Francisco’s Bay Area (a region
surrounding the city that encompasses
nine counties) is the epicenter of the world’s
high-tech industry. Silicon Valley, just south of
the city, is home to an extraordinary array of
breakthrough companies including Google,
Apple, and eBay. The city’s entrepreneurial
culture, breathtaking scenery, and economic
clout make it a great place to live and study.

A global economic center
Hult’s location in London is within walking
distance from the City’s architectural landmark
“The Gherkin,” the modern glass tower at the
heart of London’s financial district. London is
a major center of global commerce, whose
economic clout makes it the ideal place for
those aspiring to learn about international
business. Twenty percent of Europe’s largest
companies are based here. According to a
recent study commissioned by MasterCard,
London is the most influential city in the world.
Its strong economy, vibrant financial markets,
and astute government policies also earned
it the top spot in the Centers of Commerce
Index in 2008. London’s vast population
demands five airports—and as many premier
league football teams.
Never a dull moment
From our London campus, it’s only a short
Tube ride from either Tower Hill or Liverpool
Street to the city’s trendiest shopping districts
(like Oxford Street or King’s Road) and coolest
hang-out neighborhoods (Covent Garden,
Soho, or Chelsea). Feel like venturing outside
the U.K.? Paris, Amsterdam, Zurich, and
Dublin are all within easy reach thanks to
Underground connections to Heathrow,
London City, or Stansted airports, or to the
Eurostar at King’s Cross St. Pancras station.

Bachelor of Business Administration
Earning credit towards a degree
The four-year, Bachelor of Business
Administration program consists of several
essential components:
The credit, sometimes called the credit hour
or semester hour, is the basic unit of value
for coursework used in almost all American
universities. Each course you take at Hult is
worth three credits. Most students take 30
credits per year, consisting of four courses
each Fall, four courses each Winter, and two
courses each Spring, although Hult’s flexible
structure allows you to complete your degree
in less time by taking up to 42 credits per year.
A Bachelor degree requires the successful
completion of at least 120 credits.

CURRICULUM CORE COURSES
CURRICULUM CORE COURSES
BUSINESS CORE
G E N E R A L E D U C AT I O N
All Hult undergraduates take a set of Business Core
courses, mostly in their first and second years. These
courses cover core business areas and build a firm
foundation of knowledge to help students choose a
subsequent concentration.
Courses in Communication Skills, Liberal Arts,
and Global Knowledge provide an unrivaled
foundation of learning that ensures each student is
a well-rounded graduate.
The core of your business degree
Hult knows that the students who get the most out of their specialist subjects are
those students who have first learned the basics of business thoroughly. As they
earn their Bachelor degree, students can see how the functional areas of business
fit together, and which ones are most suited to their interests and abilities. By
exposing our students to a full range of disciplines, the Business Core curriculum
creates a platform from which students can decide their concentration and choose
more advanced courses.
Business Core courses count for
45 total credits (3 credits each)
and include:
Year One
• Introduction to the
Business Environment
• Financial Accounting
• Microeconomics
International experience
Hult is ranked by the Financial Times as one of the top 5 business schools in the
world for the international experience our students receive—and this experience
starts right at the very beginning.
In their Business Core classes, students work in teams with people from across the
globe, so they must rapidly learn how to communicate forcefully but diplomatically
within radically different cultures. After studying in this atmosphere, Hult graduates
are better prepared than others to work at multinationals, or to switch careers and
continents without missing a beat.
• Macroeconomics
In their first two years, Hult undergraduates take required Business Core courses
in subjects ranging from macroeconomics to marketing. Undergraduates’ growing
self-awareness empowers them to choose the electives that are right for them,
which can lead them to their concentration.
In their final two years, students complete the Business Core by taking four
advanced classes that integrate recurring themes in global business. These
integrative courses call upon students to think strategically, ethically, and
internationally about business models and practices.
34
Ask a CEO of almost any organization, and he or she will tell you that the number
one quality they look for when hiring candidates is the ability to communicate
effectively. Those who advance to senior management or leadership positions do
so less because of their specialized knowledge, and more because they possess
outstanding oral and written communication skills. While many business graduates
receive no training in these vital skills, students at Hult receive practical skills training
in research and writing, group communication, cross-cultural communication,
numerical communication, and delivery of effective presentations. The results
are impressive: Hult graduates are extremely well-prepared in the “soft skills” of
communication that will set them apart in their chosen professional environment
and open doors to career advancement.
General Education courses count for 42

• Introduction to Global Communication
• Globalization
• History & Society Elective
• Arts & Humanities Elective
Year Two

• Principles of Entrepreneurship
One of the key features of Hult’s undergraduate program is the opportunity it
provides students to study a range of topics in the arts and sciences. These
required courses give business students a breadth of understanding and create
wider contexts for their business studies. They also open doors to future careers in
specific sectors or types of organizations. Required Liberal Arts core courses are
offered in Years One and Two and include History & Society, Arts & Humanities,
Ethics & Philosophy, and Science & Technology.

and global knowledge. Each of these interdisciplinary courses expands students’
awareness of a chosen region of the world, or of a global theme. Examples of such
courses are ‘Doing Business in the Middle East,’ ‘The Political Economy of the
European Union,’ and ‘Development Economics.’

CURRICULUM CONCENTRATIONS
C O N C E N T R AT I O N S
Hult undergraduates choose a concentration,
which is like a major—the specialized area of
business in which you develop the deepest
knowledge and expertise.
Marketing
Marketing professionals are vital not just to organizations but to society
as a whole. A concentration in marketing prepares you to communicate
with the world.
Finance/Accounting
Management
Entrepreneurship
All companies depend on strong financial management. Mastery of
accounting and finance is vital to any healthy business.
All successful business graduates will sooner or later manage both people
and budgets. If they are good managers, their businesses—and their
careers—will prosper.
Today’s business leaders need entrepreneurial skills more than ever to
prosper in our increasingly competitive global environment.
Learn about value creation
For corporations, finance/accounting is about finding the funding to turn
dreams into reality. For investors, it’s about judging which dreams can
produce a good return for your money. The continuing credit squeeze
following the 2008 financial crisis has forced both corporations and investors
to be ever more inventive to meet these goals. The Hult concentration
in finance and accounting produces practically minded graduates who
understand finance from both sides of the fence: the companies trying
to fund their projects and the investment professionals who assess these
projects’ potential to create value.
21st-century managers
The 21st century demands business leaders who can think big and
act big. Students will learn to see an enterprise as a whole, but also to
understand the linkages between its different working parts. Additionally,
students will develop their managerial soft skills and learn to use
motivation and persuasion to create a successful team of colleagues
from different countries.
Entrepreneurs change the world
Entrepreneurship is a mindset, not an activity. The concentration starts
with an overview of the lifestyle entrepreneurs experience, the skills they
require, and the common errors they need to avoid. Subsequent courses
help you assess the market, refine your product or service, test your
assumptions, and persuade investors and others to provide the capital
and additional resources you need to reduce your risk and maximize your
chances for success.
Gain inancial skills for the future
Finance/accounting is one of the most rapidly changing areas of international
business, as leading thinkers and practitioners question old assumptions
and come up with new solutions in the wake of the credit crunch. What
makes a good investment portfolio in the second decade of the new
millennium? And how can companies secure funding when the banking
sector is in permanent shake-up mode?
Build skills to manage processes and people
Building on Hult’s 50-year tradition of educating managers and consultants,
the management concentration calls upon students to address timeless
questions, and to consider them in their 21st century context. This
concentration develops students’ functional knowledge of effective
management tools and how best to deploy them. It also draws upon
behavioral concepts of effective people management. A constant theme
throughout the concentration is how to manage in a globalized, crosscultural environment.
Develop your entrepreneurial skills
Hult’s entrepreneurship concentration helps you identify, assess, and
implement practical ideas successfully. Whether you intend to start a
business, help an existing one grow, work with a family firm, solve a global
social problem, or work for a larger firm, the skills you’ll learn will be highly
relevant. Organizations around the world are increasingly looking to those
with entrepreneurial spirit and skills. Learn how to approach the marketplace
confidently and independently as you chart your own path to success.
Gain concrete understanding of:
Gain concrete understanding of:
• Financial analysis and reporting—whether you’re reading a balance sheet
or costing a new project
• The management tools that can be deployed to run the various functions
of a company
• How to apply marketing concepts to big-picture corporate strategy
• The ability to make finely-judged decisions for a company based on
financial risks and opportunities
• The critical importance of efficient and effective project management in
any professional setting
• How to present persuasive marketing plans
• How the diverse ecosystem of financial instruments and institutions works
• The techniques that can be deployed to manage businesses of different
sizes through periods of growth, contraction, or restructuring
The road to marketing savvy
Marketing is driven by the belief that customers, before products or services,
are the path to profit. To succeed in the marketplace, a company must first
identify and respond to customer needs—and then convince customers
that it can meet their needs better than anyone else. Marketing and public
relations experts shape popular perception about products, people, and
organizations. They need to have a thorough knowledge of the media—
including the new world of social networks. After a Hult concentration in
marketing, you will have the skills to do anything from launching the latest
smartphone to running public relations for a political campaign.
Curriculum for a Digital Age
The digital revolution has changed the face of marketing forever—
destroying boundaries between professional marketers and consumers.
The Hult curriculum teaches you how to maximize the marketing magic of
microblogs, mobile technology, and social media. Hult was among the first
to incorporate digital marketing and the impact of social media and search
engine technology into its curriculum.
Gain concrete understanding of:
Gain concrete understanding of:

their designs

feedback, and redesign across months or years

Miami
At the center of the Middle East’s finance,
commerce, and trade, the city of Dubai
provides a remarkable opportunity to hone
your international business skills.
For any aspiring business leader to truly
understand China, you must experience
Shanghai—the country’s sophisticated and
trendsetting megacity.
Miami is the commercial gateway between
the U.S. and Latin America—a theme also
reflected in its climate, neighborhoods, and
urban style.
Modern, fascinating, and safe, Dubai is an
important gateway for trade flow between East
and West. Hult Dubai is a gathering point for
international talent, with the campus hosting
over 50 guest speakers last year, and is
conveniently located in Dubai Internet City.
China’s ascendancy as a global superpower
is rooted in Shanghai, a city home to
international business, new trends, and
groundbreaking ideas. Hult undergraduates
have the opportunity to travel to Shanghai to
study Chinese culture and language at Hult
Shanghai, experiencing this rapidly expanding
and evolving market firsthand and witnessing
the contrast between East and West.
Beyond the sand and surf, Miami is a major
center for finance, commerce, culture, media,
entertainment, arts, and international trade as
one of the world’s busiest ports.
Bachelor students on the summer rotation to
Dubai learn about doing business in the Middle
East and study the Arabic language. Students
have the opportunity to immerse themselves
in Arabic culture through a guided visit to
the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural
Understanding, which includes a talk about
Islamic culture and business etiquette, followed
by a traditional Arabic dinner. From visiting the
Burj Khalifa and one of Dubai’s many beaches
to going on a desert safari or shopping at
the souks, students have the opportunity to
experience all this dynamic city has to offer.
Students on the Shanghai summer rotation
benefit from learning international business in
a global setting and seeing how the business
knowledge and theory they learned in class
plays out in the real world, with a Chinese
context. Students will adapt to living in a new
culture—from learning how to navigate a new
city and trying cuisines from all different parts
of Asia, to visiting Chinese cultural venues and
exploring exciting Shanghai nightlife.
Bachelor students will enjoy the postcardperfect city of Miami, Florida, on the U.S.’s
Atlantic coast. Because of the city’s proximity
to Latin America, Miami serves as the
headquarters of Latin American operations
for thousands of multinational corporations,
including FedEx, AIG, Disney, Cisco,
Microsoft, Yahoo, Oracle, Wal-Mart, and Visa.
Nicknamed the “Capital of Latin America,”
Miami has a distinct Latin flavor with Spanish,
Caribbean, and Cuban neighborhoods
contributing to its diverse and vibrant culture.

CURRICULUM THE HULT IMPACT CHALLENGE
CURRICULUM ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE & SCHOLARSHIPS
GAIN PRACTICAL
EXPERIENCE
ACADEMIC
EXCELLENCE
& SCHOLARSHIPS
Action Projects, internships, and the Hult Impact
Challenge are Capstone Projects that allow Hult
students to engage in real-world challenges and
test their problem-solving skills. Students may select
one or more of these options as capstones of their
Bachelor degree.
At Hult, the most academically talented students
graduate with Distinction. In addition, Hult
provides a range of incentives and opportunities
to challenge these students and prepare them
for graduate study. Merit-based scholarships
are also offered to promising students.
Action Projects (available from Year 3)
Working in teams, students spend six weeks
working on a real-time consulting project for
a client company. The Action Project allows
students to put their practical business skills
to the test by working with their client on the
development of a strategy to meet the specific
needs of the company. Five teams of five
students work with each client company, with
regular feedback during the six-week project.
When the final presentations are made in
the company boardroom, it is the client who
announces which team provided the best
solution. Undergraduate students are given the
option of participating in a project alongside
Hult Master students at a Hult campus where
such projects are taking place.
Hult Impact Challenge (available
from Year 3)
The Hult Impact Challenge is an extendedlength team project, by nature hugely
challenging and complex, enabling students
to test their ability to deliver a project of high
quality with a strict deadline. The goal of the
Hult Impact Challenge is simple to explain,
yet complex to achieve: to develop the most
game-changing business idea imaginable,
and to convince stakeholders that you can
make it happen. Students can choose to work
in teams on an entrepreneurial challenge, a
social venture challenge, or a predetermined
corporate challenge. Projects will have a broad
strategic focus, and solutions are expected to
be both innovative and pragmatic.
Student teams begin working on their
chosen challenge in January, analyzing initial
assumptions and setting goals. Over a sixmonth period, the teams will validate and refine
their assumptions, and bring together evidence
to identify and present an impactful business
solution. The Hult Impact Challenge culminates
when student teams present their solutions to
a panel of external judges, whereupon a global
winner will be crowned.
Rewarding academic excellence
A credit-bearing internship is available
as a capstone course to qualifying
students. Internships may be undertaken either
in the home campus city or abroad, usually
during the summer. Hult’s Career Services
offer workshops to assist students who wish
to secure internships. Prospective interns are
encouraged to actively seek out opportunities
via networking, and to participate in relevant
associations and events to help identify and
secure internships.
Students who achieve outstanding results in
their first year of study (cumulative GPA of 3.6
or higher) have demonstrated their academic
excellence and are on track to graduate with
Distinction (final cumulative GPA of 3.6 or
higher). As long as they maintain this level of
academic excellence, students are entitled to
the following privileges:
• Accelerated degree progression. Students
on the Academic Excellence Track are
entitled to take one extra course in the Fall
and Winter Terms.
• Final-year thesis. Students on track to
graduate with Distinction are entitled to
research and write a senior thesis in lieu of
an open elective class.
The value of real-world experience
• Dedicated sections of certain core classes.
A number of core courses will be open
exclusively to Academic Excellence
Track students.*
• Top preparation for graduate school.
Students graduating with Distinction have
an excellent foundation to gain entry into
graduate programs, and are equipped to
succeed in their chosen graduate degree.
Hult prides itself on producing graduates
who are equipped to take on the
challenges that the real world will throw at
them. Experiential capstones are an essential
ingredient in this preparation, as they build
students’ mental toughness, resilience,
and personal confidence, and ultimately
enhance employability.

dedicated events for its top students,
including speakers, networking events,
and social activities.
