El presente estudio de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar de qué manera el uso de las TIC’s audiovisuales influye en el proceso de aprendizaje en estudiantes de fotoperiodismo de la Universidad Jaime Bausate y Meza, Jesús María, 2018. Esta investigación aborda la problemática de los estudiantes frente a la falta de estímulo con recursos audiovisuales que se evidenciará a través del cambio positivo en la elevación de sus calificaciones. La investigación tuvo un diseño cuasi experimental con GE y GC, el método usado fue de enfoque cuantitativo. La población estuvo conformada por 90 estudiantes, cuya muestra fue de 60 estudiantes, siendo un muestreo no probabilístico, por conveniencia en grupos equivalentes. In diesem Beitrag wird exemplarisch anhand der größten Fakultät der Ruhr-Universität Bochum darüber berichtet, wie in den Corona-Semestern konstruktiv mit den pandemibedingten didaktischen Herausforderungen umgegangen wurde. Aus der anfänglichen Überforderung heraus wurden effektive Maßnahmen ergriffen, mit denen die Lehre auch im Hinblick auf die Zeit nach der Corona-Pandemie verbessert und interaktiver gestaltet werden konnte. Resümierend lässt sich festhalten, dass. die Gruppenarbeit in Breakoutrooms vor den gleichen Herausforderungen steht wie die Gruppenarbeit in analogen Räumen und dementsprechend auch die Lösungsansätze viele Gemeinsamkeiten aufweisen.

This tribute presents a multi-faceted, multi-voiced perspective on the career and work of the late Dr. Eliza T. Dresang through the words of her colleagues. Dresang’s groundbreaking work, Radical Change: Books for Youth in a Digital Age (1999), grew out of conversations with colleagues that were facilitated by her service on book award and other committees. In her research, she pursued the larger connections between children’s publishing and the burgeoning digital world, and she had an immeasurable impact on the world of children’s and teen library services. She also influenced future youth services librarians by championing groundbreaking changes to the library school curriculum at the University of Washington. Teaching English at tertiary level with the incorporation of ICT has become a common trend in Bangladesh over the last decade. Tertiary level teachers and learners are more or less familiar with teaching and learning based on ICT in language classrooms. Use of ICT at tertiary level has some impacts that direct the future of the use of ICT in language teaching
and learning. This study aimed at investigating the impacts of using ICT in English language classrooms at tertiary level. The study has followed both qualitative and quantitative research design. To investigate the impacts of the use of ICT at tertiary level, interviews have been conducted with 20 English language teachers with a questionnaire containing 10 questions, 10 FGDs with 100 students and observation of 10 English classes in three private language institutes under three private universities. The result of the study shows that the use of ICT warms up the learners, fastens the learning of all four skills of English language (L2), lowers anxiety level and raises motivation level among the learners, creates proper classroom management, maintains continuous connection in and out of the classroom between teachers and learners, lessens teachers’ workload, helps teach authentic pronunciation, creates room in the emergence of a new variety of English in Bangladesh, etc. However, the study has found few disadvantages and challenges of incorporating ICT at tertiary level L2 classes. The disadvantages include the hybridization of English and
consequently hampering the academic writing, producing words and sentence patterns that may be unintelligible to many other academicians, lack of training to the teachers in incorporating ICT, and lack of continuous power supply and so on.

Nel corso dell’articolo ci si è interrogati sulle potenzialità filologiche dei chatbot - ChatGPT eGemini - nell’analisi dei testi epici medioevali. In particolare, si è scelto di utilizzare come casi di studio alcuni estratti franco-veneti databili tra il XIII e il XIV secolo, in cui il francese antico è intessuto di elementi provenienti dalle koiné italiane settentrionali.Ci si è interrogati sulle reali capacità dello strumento in sede di traduzione e commento linguistico, nonché in un contesto teorico. Le conclusioni cercano di delineare lo stato attuale dello sviluppo dei software e la loro applicazione in campo filologico.

The book is divided into two sections: one focusing on the phenomenon of television and the other on audiences. It argues that television is changing from a singular object, fixed in a particular place, to a social phenomenon distributed across many devices and platforms. It also argues that audiences are increasingly demanding an ‘open relationship’ with television, as their attention is often distributed across multiple devices and platforms simultaneously. In addition to these aspects, we analyse the evolution of television since its inception, the need for a renewed public service 2.0 in tune with our times, the increasing dominance of talk shows and infotainment, and the new power of television combined with artificial intelligence. These and many other topics are covered in this book, which will be of interest to television professionals, academics in sociology, media studies, and various other fields.

En un tiempo de profundos cambios en nuestra manera de vivir y convivir, como los operados por la digitalización actual, la filosofía política se presenta como una herramienta que nos permite aproximarnos a la revolución tecnológica de la inteligencia artificial desde una perspectiva crítica y emancipatoria. Desde una posición situada, en este artículo, se reflexionará sobre las desigualdades ante las que nos sitúa el cambio, apuntando las posibilidades. Para ello, se aplicarán las cinco categorías operacionales de Young (explotación, marginación, carencia de poder, imperialismo cultural y violencia) a la inteligencia artificial, lo que nos permitirá diagnosticar las injusticias, y señalar las posibles soluciones. Desde una perspectiva feminista se pondrá en cuestión la supuesta neutralidad de la IA y se analizarán los efectos, intencionados o no, de la digitalización de la sociedad. Concluyendo con la necesidad de proponer una serie de cambios que nos aproximen a una digitalización más inclusiva.

Kegiatan belajar dan mengajar yang dilakukan oleh guru dengan siswa di sekolahan dikenal dengan istilah pembelajaran. Kualitas pembelajaran akan optimal apabila proses pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa (student centered instruction), bukan berpusat pada guru (teacher centered instruction). Proses pembelajaran sebaiknya juga dilakukan dengan cara-cara yang menyenangkan, termasuk pada pembelajaran biologi. Fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa tidak jarang pembelajaran biologi dilakukan dengan metode-metode konvensional (tradisional) yang cenderung monoton. The Metaverse, an expansive online 3D virtual realm, has transformed how people work, socialize, and engage, but its growth brings critical cybersecurity challenges, particularly in data security and privacy. Since many cybersecurity incidents stem from human behavior, understanding factors influencing users’ cybersecurity practices in the Metaverse is vital. This study addresses the gap by proposing an integrated model based on Protection Motivation Theory (PMT), Health Belief Model (HBM), and Theory of Interpersonal Behavior (TIB), with trust as an additional  construct. Using a hybrid structural equation modeling-artificial neural network (SEM-ANN) approach, data from 531 Metaverse users were analyzed. The results indicated that perceived vulnerability, self-efficacy,
cues to action, habit, and trust significantly affect cybersecurity behavior, with “cues to action” identified as the most critical factor (97.8% normalized importance). Conversely, perceived severity, response efficacy, response costs, and facilitating conditions showed no significant impact. The findings offer theoretical insights and practical implications for Metaverse stakeholders and cybersecurity strategies.

problemática identificada responde a una necesidad de reivindicar su presencia e influencia como testigo en un ecosistema mediático, por lo que se busca abordar y destacar el papel que la televisión ha desempeñado a lo largo del tiempo, a pesar de los cambios y desafíos que ha enfrentado en un entorno mediático cada vez más tecnológico. Information is a valuable commodity in the era of globalization to be mastered in order to improve the competitiveness of an organization. This is evident from the various applications of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) that appear in some local governments. But the fact is that the utilization of ICT has not yet had a significant impact on the productivity of district government. One of the dominant causes is the lack of synchronization of the objectives of district governement activities with the purpose of activities undertaken by the government using Information Technology to provide services to the community (e-Government) itself. This paper discusses the tactical steps of e-Government development based on the theory of various agencies that have implemented e-Government and will produce optimal results.

La retórica colonial-moderna ha impuesto una subordinación basada en la competencia lingüística, legitimando la supremacía del inglés como lengua extranjera a través de las instituciones educativas. Para trascender esta percepción de lengua colonial, es necesario que quienes la enseñan atraviesen un proceso reflexivo, íntimo y sensible en torno a su saber-ser docente vivenciando experiencias permeadas por miradas críticas en sus prácticas. Para ello, nos propusimos comprender el proceso de reflexión y de sensibilización que atraviesa el estudiantado que realiza sus experiencias pre-profesionales elaborando e implementando secuencias didácticas con perspectivas de-coloniales. A partir de una indagación cualitativa y por medio de la observación documental, relatos escritos, la reflexión auto-etnográfica y una entrevista focal realizamos un análisis en profundidad de las narrativas de estudiantes de la materia Residencia Docente II del Profesorado de Inglés de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (UNMdP) que nos permitió comprender sus experiencias pedagógicas y vivencias personales. Este artículo dará vida a las voces del grupo de participantes a partir de la entrevista focal y de la reflexión auto-etnográfica, partiendo de dos dimensiones que emergieron en el transcurso de la investigación: la de-construcción del imperialismo en las prácticas docentes y los nuevos desafíos que se emergen al incorporar perspectivas de-coloniales en las clases de inglés. Se espera que el relato de lo vivido por este grupo de participantes invite a docentes formados y en formación a emanciparse de epistemes coloniales que aún silencian subjetividades de pueblos, grupos y clases que han sido ignoradas, oprimidas y excluidas por la modernidad eurocéntrica.

This essay examines the emergence of large language models, focusing on ChatGPT, in the academic sphere. While most studies have focused on the tangible outputs produced by LLMs, the potential and the challenges they introduce, this essay proposes a shift in perspective that recognizes LLM not merely as a computational tool but as an "Algorithmic Author"-an entity that both shapes and is shaped by the social, cultural, and political dynamics of the academic field. Inspired by Michel Foucault's concept of the "author-function" (1980) the term "Algorithmic Author" is used to analyse how ChatGPT is discursively constructed and contested within different academic groups. Drawing on preliminary findings from interviews and ethnographic observations in a public research university, the essay identifies three distinct groups-senior management, the center for teaching and learning staff, and young researchers-who frame and construct the algorithmic author as a threat, an opportunity, or an ambivalent space.

Starting with her early works on “Talk with Machines” (1986, republished in 2021) and her books Plans and Situated Actions: The Problem of Human-Machine Communication (1987) and Human-Machine Reconfigurations (2007a), Lucy Suchman not only opened up a new domain of scientific interest in humans and technology, but also showed how the scope of human machine relations needs to be reconceptualized. With her most recent works (2023a, 2023b), she not only widens the perspective on the contexts for machine usage, particularly by the military, but she also gives insights on how to conceptualize AI in terms of its ontological status and its agency. Discussing the relevance of the concept of autonomy for relations between humans and machines, Lucy Suchman clearly positions herself in the debate and demonstrates how we need to reconfigure and address so-called machine autonomy.

Denne apofatiske eller negative tilnaerminga er sentral for Paulus, og ho vart plukka opp av Psevdo-Dionysios Areopagitten, mest sannsynleg ein syrisk munk frå 500-tallet. Han tek utgangspunkt i paulinsk teologi, men nyttar seg av nyplatonsk filosofi, spesielt den teurgiske tradisjonen etter Jamblikos og Proklos, for å artikulere mennesket sitt forhold til Gud og grensene for kva vi kan seie om Gud, og korleis vi kan naerma oss han. Her blir hans teurgiske teologi drøfta, og det blir argumentert for at Areopagitten forankrar dette i ein apofatisk kristologi.

A central feature of traditional Christian theology is that God “dwells in unapproachable light” (1. Tim. 6:16), that He is unknown in Himself, even if He is also the one in whom “we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:28). This apophatic or negative approach is central for Paul and was picked up by Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite, most likely a 6th century Syrian monk. He takes Pauline theology as his starting point, but uses neoplatonic philosophy, in particular the theurgic tradition after Iamblichus and Proclus, to articulate mankind’s relation to God and the limits for what we can say about God og how we can approach Him. Here, his theurgic theology is discussed and it will be argued that the Areopagite anchors this in an apophatic Christology.

Digital mobile applications have impacted foreign language learning by offering accessible and engaging educational tools. This study examines the effect of digital mobile applications on emergent multilinguals' foreign language learning experiences at the tertiary level. Twenty-nine English language teacher candidates engaged with Duolingo-a popular, free mobile application-over a month, studying various foreign languages. Data collected from pre-and post-study reflective journals, discussion board posts, and focus group interviews provided insights into the participants' experiences with the app's features, their perceived language development, and their views on the pedagogical integration of mobile apps in language education. The findings highlighted active student engagement and noted vocabulary improvements, while other language areas showed mixed results. Participants appreciated the app's technical features but criticized its cultural and speech limitations. Despite recognizing digital mobile applications' potential, teacher candidates expressed uncertainty about their classroom integration but intended future pedagogical use. The study concluded with the implications of these interactions for the integration of mobile apps into foreign language education, particularly in multilingual contexts.

Information and communication technologies are playing an increasing role in our current social and cultural practices in a way that digital media are spread in all spheres and institutions of our society and it seems almost impossible to think and act in a world without media. Newly and emerging patterns, in the most diverse areas, are arisen as a result of these mediatisation processes that are reshaping the current communicational environment. The way we communicate and make meaning in a mediatised world demands a bundle of literacies, often referred to as media literacy, information literacy, visual literacy, multimodal literacy, computer literacy/ICT literacy, media and information literacy Due to this increasingly complex digital media environment, the promotion of media literacy is of growing importance, endowing our children and youth of tools and expertise that will enable them to consciously interact in an ever more mediatised society. The present paper reflects on media and information literacy and the potential of digital games as reflexive tools for education, more particularly, media education. This paper introduces a research project based on the value of game based learning, more particularly, for learning and promoting media literacy skills. The study is mainly focused on a literature and methodological review of recent empirical publications (2010-2016) in the area of digital games, learning and gamification, using content analysis to assess a sample of 60 papers. Peer-reviewed papers were analysed and coded for the use of theories and theoretical frameworks, main authors related key concepts, main methods used, common hypothesis and problems addressed, method strategies, data collection techniques, instruments, game models and design qualities. This study examines the state of the current research on the topics mentioned above and points out gaps in the existing literature, as well as the common ground ideas and concepts' definitions, providing an overview of the work done in this emerging field. Main results indicate the most referred theories and frameworks, as well as its definitions and the most common research questions and problems. Findings from this study provide an insight for future studies as well as for the best practices in designing meaningful learning experiences.

Recently, interest in collecting and mining large sets of educational data on student background and performance to conduct research on learning and instruction has developed as an area generally referred to as learning analytics. Higher education leaders are recognising the value of learning analytics for improving not only learning and teaching but also the entire educational arena. However, theoretical concepts and empirical evidence need to be generated within the fast evolving field of learning analytics. In this paper, we introduce a holistic learning analytics framework. Based on this framework, student, learning, and curriculum profiles have been developed which include relevant static and dynamic parameters for facilitating the learning analytics framework. Based on the theoretical model, an empirical study was conducted to empirically validate the parameters included in the student profile. The paper concludes with practical implications and issues for future research.

Studi ini menyelidiki bagaimana teori konstruktivistik dapat digunakan bersama dengan media digital untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Teori ini berfokus pada proses pembelajaran aktif dimana siswa membangun pengetahuannya secara mandiri. Teori ini relevan untuk diterapkan di pendidikan dasar untuk mendorong perkembangan kognitif. Siswa dapat terlibat dalam pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual dan menarik melalui media digital seperti platform berbasis teknologi dan aplikasi interaktif. Artikel ini membahas masalah yang dihadapi saat menggunakan media digital di sekolah dasar seperti keterbatasan teknologi dan ketidakmampuan pendidik untuk menggunakannya. Selain itu, artikel ini menawarkan solusi praktis untuk mengatasi masalah dalam penerapannya seperti pelatihan guru dan optimalisasi sumber daya digital. Diharapkan bahwa pembelajaran konstruktivistik yang didukung media digital akan lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas, pemecahan masalah, dan pemikiran kritis siswa.

B) A questão preliminar ao mérito a ser invocada pelo defensor técnico de David é a da necessidade de remessa dos autos à autoridade superior do Ministério Público Federal nos termos da Súmula nº 696 do STF, pois a condenação anterior à pena de multa não inviabiliza a suspensão condicional do processo, por aplicação analógica do Art. 77, § 1º, do Código Penal. A questão preliminar é que a condenação anterior à pena de multa não inviabiliza a suspen (OAB/Exame Unificado-2017.2-2ª fase) No dia 29 de dezembro de 2011, Cláudio, 30 anos, profissional do ramo de informática, invadiu dispositivo informático alheio, mediante violação indevida de mecanismo de segurança, com o fim de obter informações pessoais de famoso ator da televisão brasileira, sem autorização do titular do dispositivo. Após longa investigação e representação da vítima, o fato e a autoria de Cláudio foram identificados no ano de 2014, vindo o autor a ser indiciado e, posteriormente, oferecida pelo Ministério Público proposta de transação penal em razão da prática do crime do Art. 154-A do Código Penal, dispositivo este incluído pela Lei nº 12.737/12. Cláudio aceitou a proposta de transação penal, mas, em julho de 2015, interrompeu o cumprimento das condições impostas. Temeroso em razão de sua conduta, Cláudio procura seu advogado, informando que não justificou o descumprimento e, diante disso, o Ministério Público ofereceu denúncia por aquele delito, tendo o juiz competente recebido a inicial acusatória em agosto de 2015. Considerando apenas as informações narradas, esclareça, na condição de advogado(a) prestando consultoria jurídica para Cláudio, os seguintes questionamentos. A) De acordo com a jurisprudência do Supremo Tribunal Federal, é possível a revogação do benefício da transação penal pelo descumprimento das condições impostas, com posterior oferecimento de denúncia? Justifique. (Valor: 0,65) B) Os fatos praticados por Cláudio, de fato, permitem sua responsabilização penal pelo crime do Art. 154-A do Código Penal? Justifique. (Valor: 0,60) Obs.: o(a) examinando(a) deve fundamentar suas respostas. A mera citação ou transcrição do dispositivo legal não confere pontuação. Gabarito comentado-examinadora A) Sim, de acordo com a jurisprudência do Supremo Tribunal Federal, é possível a revogação do benefício da transação penal, com posterior oferecimento de denúncia pelo Ministério Público, caso as condições impostas venham a ser descumpridas, nos termos do Enunciado 35 da Súmula Vinculante do STF. Durante muito tempo se controverteu sobre as consequências do descumprimento das condições impostas quando da transação penal, alguns defendendo que apenas seria cabível a execução das mesmas, pois, uma vez homologada, haveria imediata extinção da punibilidade, enquanto outros admitiam a revogação do benefício, que estaria condicionado ao cumprimento das imposições. O STF, diante da controvérsia, pacificou o entendimento, por meio de enunciado vinculante, entendendo que a decisão homologatória de transação penal, nos termos do Art. 76 da Lei nº 9.099/95, não faz coisa julgada material, de modo que, descumpridas suas cláusulas, a situação anterior deve ser retomada, inclusive possibilitando ao Ministério Público o oferecimento de denúncia. B) Embora, literalmente, os fatos praticados por Cláudio se adequem à figura típica descrita no Art. 154-A do Código Penal, não é possível a responsabilização penal do autor pelo crime em questão, tendo em vista que os fatos ocorreram antes da entrada em vigor da Lei nº 12.737/12, de modo que não pode uma lei mais grave ao acusado retroagir para prejudicá-lo. O princípio da legalidade impõe que não é possível a punição de qualquer pessoa por fato que a lei não define como crime no momento de sua ocorrência. Como consequência desse princípio, estabeleceu o Art. 5º, inciso XL, da CRFB/88 que a lei não retroagirá, salvo para favorecer o réu. No mesmo sentido as previsões do Art. 1º do Código Penal. Assim, diante da irretroatividade da lei penal desfavorável, considerando que os fatos ocorreram em 29/12/2011 e a Lei que introduziu o Art. 154-A no Código Penal somente foi editada no ano de 2012, incabível a punição de Cláudio pelo delito em questão, ainda que a denúncia seja em momento posterior. Distribuição dos Pontos: ITEM A) Sim, é possível a revogação do benefício, nos termos da Súmula Vinculante 35 do STF OU B) Não é possível a responsabilização penal de Cláudio pelo crime do Art. 154-A do Código P Comentários do autor: No que toca ao crime definido no art. 154-A do CP, oportuno que façamos algumas considerações a respeito de mudanças nele promovidas pela Lei 14.155/2021, publicada em 28 de maio de 2021 e com vigência imediata. A primeira observação a fazer refere-se à alteração na redação do caput do dispositivo. Até então, tínhamos que o tipo penal era assim definido: invadir dispositivo informático alheio, conectado ou não à rede de computadores, mediante violação indevida de mecanismo de segurança e com o fim de obter, adulterar ou destruir dados ou informações sem autorização expressa ou tácita do titular do dispositivo ou instalar vulnerabilidades para obter vantagem ilícita. Com a mudança implementada pela Lei 14.155/2021, adotou-se a seguinte redação: invadir dispositivo informático de uso alheio, conectado ou não à rede de computadores, com o fim de obter, adulterar ou destruir dados ou informações sem autorização expressa ou tácita do usuário do dispositivo ou de instalar vulnerabilidades para obter vantagem ilícita. Como se pode ver, logo à primeira vista, eliminou-se o elemento normativo do tipo mediante violação indevida de mecanismo de segurança. Trata-se de alteração salutar, na medida em que este crime, de acordo com a redação original do caput, somente se aperfeiçoaria na hipótese de o agente, para alcançar seu intento (invadir dispositivo informático), se valer de violação indevida de mecanismo de segurança. Era necessário, portanto, que o sujeito ativo, antes de acessar o conteúdo do dispositivo, vencesse tal obstáculo (mecanismo de segurança). Significa que a invasão de dados contidos, por exemplo, em um computador que não contasse com mecanismo de proteção (senha, por exemplo) constituiria fato atípico. A partir de agora, dada a alteração promovida no tipo incriminador, tal exigência deixa de existir, ampliando, por certo, a incidência do tipo penal. Além disso, até a edição da Lei 14.155/2021, o dispositivo tinha de ser alheio. Com a mudança, basta que seja de uso alheio. Dessa forma, o crime se configura mesmo que o dispositivo invadido não seja alheio, mas esteja sob o uso de outra pessoa. Agora, a mudança mais significativa, a nosso ver, não se deu propriamente no preceito penal incriminador, mas na pena cominada, que era de detenção de 3 meses a 1 ano e multa e, com a mudança operada pela Lei 14.155/2021, passou para reclusão de 1 a 4 anos e multa. Com isso, este delito deixa de ser considerado de 1.2. Teoria do crime (OAB/Exame 39º-2023.3) Carlos, dirigindo de forma imprudente e alcoolizado, atropelou Thales na via pública, que se feriu gravemente. Thales foi socorrido por Carlos e levado ao hospital. Porém, no hospital, Thales foi atingido por um projétil de arma de fogo de procedência ignorada ("bala perdida"), que causou sua morte. Microcredentials have been a well-known concept for several years, but in the last decade, they have gained significant attention and discussion. The rise of online and distance learning platforms and the need for job-specific skills has made microcredentials an attractive option for individuals to upgrade their knowledge and skills rapidly and inexpensively. The term "microcredential" emerged in the early 2010s. Since then, it has become widely recognized and adopted as an effective way to acquire valuable skills and knowledge in less time than traditional academic degrees. This paper presents a case study on integrating microcredentials into an e-learning course on pedagogy of sports diplomacy at the university level. The study explores how microcredentials can enhance students' learning experiences and improve their employability prospects. It also examines the students' perceptions of the microcredentials and their impact on their motivation and engagement in the class. The research findings suggest that the integration of microcredentials can enhance the learning experience by providing students with the opportunity to develop specific skills and knowledge that are relevant to their career goals. The microcredentials program also enables students to demonstrate their achievements to potential employers, thereby improving their employability prospects. This paper aims to contribute to the scientific literature on using microcredentials in higher education. It also provides practical insights for educators interested in incorporating them into their e-learning courses

      The study aimed to identify the use of social media applications to confront rumors related to the war on Gaza, The descriptive method was used in sample scanning as a data collection tool, The field sample consisted of (200) individuals from Omani and Tunisian journalists Results show: the there is as a statistically significant correlation between the sample members’ use of social media applications and the extent of their contribution to confronting rumors related to the war on Gaza, there is as well a statistically the differences between the forms of interaction of males and females with the contents of rumors related to the war on Gaza, and in the direction of males.

Films provide many memorable scenes of care that both shape and
reinforce ideas about who deserves care, how carers should behave, and
what kinds of people appear ‘naturally’ suited to the labors of caring for
children, the sick, the elderly and the disabled (namely women). My
specific interest here is in films about migrant domestic workers in Hong
Kong and Singapore. from the Philippines and Indonesia, who take up
live-in housekeeping positions. The films about their lives range from
documentary to popular, low-budget horror to independent art cinema.
While surveying the strengths and limitations of a handful of these films,
I offer strategies for how to frame each film in terms of its director,
production methods, distribution, and target audience. How and when
might different genres be best used to engage students in critical think-
ing about care work and migrant labor? What stereotypes exist about
migrant workers and what blind spots emerge in understanding paid
care work? How can we promote dialogue about the often ambivalent
relationship between caregiver and cared-for?

Este libro presenta una novedosa, oportuna y variada mirada sobre el discurso político y sus efectos en la realidad chilena. O, dicho de otro modo, delinea los márgenes del discurso y la política a través de diferentes miradas sobre el fenómeno, con una hipótesis que reconoce el surgimiento de nuevos ethos sobre la gestión del poder tras los hechos acontecidos en Chile en octubre de 2019 y que confluyeron en el plebiscito constitucional de septiembre de 2022. Se cruzan reflexiones epistémicas –lo que confirma el proceso de construcción en el que se encuentra la noción misma de "discurso político" según la tradición disciplinar desde donde se aborde- y aplicaciones metodológicas que hacen una "bajada" del término, especialmente a quienes se inician en dicho campo de estudio.

This connective ethnographic case study highlights how three Brazilian immigrant children (ages 6–8) engaged in critical play on an online gaming platform called Roblox. Specifically, we examine how participants navigated and interacted in a Roblox minigame titled, Brookhaven. Brookhaven is a type of virtual domestic role-play in which players perform aspects of daily life with avatars in a digital town. Thinking with theories of critical play, restorying, and transnational childhoods, this paper considers how participants leveraged sociotechnical skills with their transnational experiences and imaginaries to build community in a mononational and ideologically precarious playspace. Our findings demonstrate how the children engaged in glitching and (re)placement practices to forward justice-oriented play across digital and analog contexts. Implications for this study advocate for assets-based explorations of young users’ play-based design practices that affirm and value their existence.

Museums have played a vital role in history education by offering
interactive, multisensory learning experiences that promote critical
thinking and cultural and historical literacy. The digital transition of
live person-led museum learning, accelerated by the pandemic, opened up
significant opportunities for the creation of new and innovative museum learning approaches and posed numerous challenges both to museums themselves as content creators and to the learning communities they serve.
In this chapter, the aim is to navigate the evolving landscape of live online, person-led museum education addressed to school groups, with an emphasis on the use of museum theatre. The research objectives encompass mapping the current state of synchronous online museum learning, exploring best practices in the use of theatre and performance, understanding the challenges faced by museum professionals in the digital realm, examining perspectives of school teachers and students, determining strategies for meaningful learning experiences and providing practical recommendations to enhance online museum learning.

This study investigates the role of social media in cultural awarenessraising and engagement in the struggle against gender violence. The study was conducted using a quantitative/qualitative analysis approach of around 20 Italian social websites-platforms-pages dealing with the phenomenon of femicide. The analysis considers three main indicators: presence of Web spaces for awarenessraising (e.g. advertising campaigns, contest); the existence of Web channels and participatory tools targeting the achievement of shared objectives and projects (e.g. signatures, online petitions); activation of online educational courses (e.g. information-based pages on the themes and terms of gender-based violence, creation of “pedagogical” and comparative spaces). O trabalho discorre sobre um estudo realizado no Arca-Repositório Institucional da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz) para a verificação de requisitos de confiabilidade do RI em questão, com base nas recomendações para repositórios digitais confiáveis. Utilizou-se o modelo de referência Open Archival Information System (OAIS) e os padrões de certificação TRAC, ISO 16363:2012 e CONARQ como base para a elaboração de um checklist, onde foram avaliados 27 critérios em três categorias: Infraestrutura organizacional, Gestão de objetos digitais e Infraestrutura tecnológica e de segurança, por meio da atribuição de uma escala de atendimento para cada critério. Como resultado do diagnóstico de confiabilidade, o RI Arca atende a 63% dos critérios de Infraestrutura organizacional, 27% dos critérios de Gestão de objetos digitais e 50% da categoria de Infraestrutura tecnológica e de segurança. Espera-se que esse estudo contribua para a implementação de melhorias no repositório Arca nos quesitos com baixo grau de avaliação, bem como o estabelecimento de padrões para quesitos implementados, porém não documentados. Espera-se ainda, que o diagnóstico realizado no RI Arca incentive outras instituições a iniciarem a autoavaliação de seus repositórios institucionais, visando uma futura auditoria e certificação.
