In our rapidly growing cultural and digital landscape, most information is transformed into knowledge through visually communicated formats. As a result, curatorial possibilities emerge within the field and practice of visual communication design. Through discursive texts, visuals and an examination of contemporary nomenclature, The Formatorial Project seeks out curatorial possibilities within the visual communication (VC) design discipline. The Formatorial Project is a prismatic collection of essays (referred to as plateaus) that explore art consumption, design thinking and VC-driven curating. It is an independent collaborative publishing platform of visual and textual content that offers an expanded approach to curating through visual communication design, targeting VC designers and curators as its audience.

Este artículo tiene como objetivo principal dar a conocer los pilares fundamentales del estudio
multidisciplinar TVTHEAGEN. Una innovadora y ambiciosa propuesta de trabajo de investigación que pretende abordar las adaptaciones a la televisión de obras teatrales europeas de los siglos XVI y XVII que el programa de RTVE Estudio Uno llevó a cabo en sus casi tres décadas de trayectoria
(1965-1985) desde tres marcos teóricos: el de la traducción, el de la multimedialidad y el de género. Se analizarán las respectivas traducciones y adaptaciones del texto teatral primigenio al formato de guion televisivo para ver cómo se desarrollan los motivos y personajes femeninos de las obras en las sucesivas puestas en escena, prestando especial atención a la labor censora.

Se muestran y explican con ejemplos prácticos las posibilidades de tratamiento de datos e información textual que tiene el lenguaje de formateo de WINISIS de UNESCO al manipular cadenas y subcadenas de caracteres alfanuméricas no estructuradas o semiestructuradas, línea por línea, o párrafo por párrafo, de longitud fija o variable, especialmente en archivos lógicos de software (log), o provenientes de cualquier formato (Excel, Word, PDF u otro), convertidos a formato de texto plano norma ascii, para ser importados a través de programas en ISIS Pascal a CDS/ISIS. Ecuadorian television is 56 years old, time in which fiction has been part of the program and has established itself as one of the most offered genres in audiovisual channels with open signal. Currently, comedy is the mark of national fiction that have been placed among the most seen and at the same time, have been case of study about interactions with the audience for media besides television and the conversion from one format to another, without discarding characters and locations. This paper compiles the results of a longitudinal research carried out between 2010 and 2015 by OBITEL Ecuador on transmedia reception and “transformat” of five national comedy fictions from an actual perspective to understand the changes of this communication process. Virtual ethnography has been used as methodological strategy. Los cibermedios argentinos han seguido las tendencias internacionales en su trayectoria digital y han asumido los constantes cambios en el ecosistema mediático innovando con la producción de formatos multimedia e interactivos pensados para la red, así como iniciativas de tipo tecnológico como la realidad virtual. Desde el punto de vista organizacional, la convergencia de redacciones y la creación de laboratorios son algunos de los rasgos identificados. En este artículo se elabora un estudio de caso de La Nación, La Capital, La Voz del Interior y Clarín, identificando sus elementos innovadores y entrevistando a profesionales del área digital. A nivel global, los medios periodísticos de Argentina muestran un carácter innovador, aunque inestable. La búsqueda de un modelo sostenible, la dotación de medios económicos, tecnológicos y humanos para el área digital y una apuesta estratégica de las empresas pueden aportar lo necesario para garantizar su consolidación en la red.

In Eric Rohmer’s Six Moral Tales there is a discrepancy between what the voiceover of the protagonist of the film is saying and what the images are showing. Until now, most studies have seen this as a confrontation between the director’s narration and each of the protagonists’. But this article makes a different interpretation. It claims that the characters are aware of their true thoughts and hide them with deceitful words, but their gaze, conveyed by the camera, denotes their true feelings. The mise en scène becomes a transcendental element in a cinema of words. If image and word contradict one another, the viewer will have to be active and not be content with the showing of the film, but investigate its meaning. It is the enunciation of the film from where the true discourse, invisible and intangible, has to be extracted.

En los últimos quince años el sector audiovisual español ha sufrido grandes transformaciones como el nacimiento de nuevos canales generalistas como Cuatro (2005) y La Sexta (2006), el apagón analógico y el fin de la publicidad en RTVE (2010) o la llegada de nuevos agentes emisores como Netflix (2105), que marcaron su desarrollo. El objetivo de este artículo es conocer si ha habido evolución en las preferencias televisivas de los españoles durante el periodo 2005-2019 en un contexto de redefinición de la televisión como el actual. Las conclusiones indican que existe un desgaste de ciertos formatos como las series de ficción, se mantienen con éxito algunos programas históricos de la televisión en España y se incorporan algunos formatos fruto de la hibridación de géneros. Asimismo se constata un evidente incremento del éxito de contenidos conectados con el presente, anclados al momento actual y cuyo consumo en diferido les merma valor.

The 2017 Dagstuhl Seminar on Computational Proteomics provided an opportunity for a broad discussion on the current state and future directions of the generation and use of peptide tandem mass spectrometry spectral libraries. Their use in proteomics is growing slowly, but there are multiple challenges in the field that must be addressed to further increase the adoption of spectral libraries and related techniques. The primary bottlenecks are the paucity of high quality and comprehensive libraries and the general difficulty of adopting spectral library searching into existing workflows. There are several existing spectral library formats, but none capture a satisfactory level of metadata; therefore a logical next improvement is to design a more advanced, Proteomics Standards Initiative-approved spectral library format that can encode all of the desired metadata. Il rend compte des decisions qui ont ete prises tout en ayant la volonte d’etre un guide pour les producteurs de 3D qui souhaiteraient archiver leurs modeles.

During the last decade we’ve seen an enormous change in the availability of tools and technologies to assist people in their learning process. These also impact education in the field of IS. So far there’s been isolated use of these technologies which are being reported in literature. There is no clear method of deciding whether or not to engage and use these new technologies. The choice for specific supportive environment is quite often made purely on technological arguments. These arguments are often enforced by choices made on the institutional level (the University or any other educational institute). There is a growing inconvenience with this technological emphasis. A choice process based on a more educational argumentation is urgent needed. In recent years we developed a method to meet this need. During this workshop we will explain the approach, apply it to courses of the attendants, while also seeking more input from different learning approaches.
