Developing countries are confronted with serious unemployment and
underemployment problems. This problem is particularly crucial among the
educated youths of these countries. One of the major reasons for this situation is that
the education system is not designed in a way to motivate the graduates to take
business profession as an alternative source of employment. Moreover the support
services towards this end are not adequate. Entrepreneurship education which aims
at creating awareness and motivating the graduates to take business as profession
has not been widely included in the various level of education system. Training is
particularly important for developing skills. As a result the graduates rush to the
opportunities for salaried jobs, the market of which is already saturated. The main
objectives of the study will be to review the existing education and training system.
While preparing the paper the existing education system will be critically evaluated
as well as the experience of scholars working on entrepreneurship education and
problems in different counties. The typical home for entrepreneurship programs has
been in schools of business. Undergraduates and graduate students studying
business have had increasing opportunities to study topics related to the
entrepreneurial career track (as opposed to the corporate track). The
entrepreneurship education they gain while in college will enable them to be flexible
and agile in the workplace. What is it about entrepreneurship education in
particular that helps students become leaders, innovators and creative problemsolvers?
This paper aims to provide an entrepreneurship education and training
framework using MIRACLE Approach.

This feasibility study on palm oil distribution in Cross River State is my original research and it is based on the survey and thorough research made by Anaba, Sylvester Anani. The business will be a sole entrepreneurship business, wholly owned by Anaba, Sylvester Anani.
From the research carried out, it was discovered that the demand for palm oil in Cross River State is not fully satisfied; though there are existing palm oil distributing outlets in the state, but oil is supplied on a small scale by petty traders.
Premium upon the supply gap, and the high demand for palm oil in Cross River State, I decided to bridge the gap by venturing into this business so as to meet the high demand of palm oil in Cross River State.
The legal requirement for this business such as local government revenue tax, business premises, vigilante and other requirements had been considered, and will be complied to.
This business will provide employment opportunity for at least fifty people. More so, the problem of scarcity and high cost of palm oil in Cross River State will be a thing of the past.

The group 10,000 Problemes was started in 1995 by the initiative of Pape SENE aka Sidy Diop. We are partnering with 10,000 Problemes to invite Africans musicians to the US to participate in an international festival called the “Festival of African Roots” scheduled for July 2015. Objectives. Previous studies on agritourism entrepreneurship have identified a variety of economic and non-economic motivations driving farm operators to start the agritourism activity. Nonetheless, local heritage preservation and enhancement have been completely overlooked. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether " heritage preservation and enhancement " (in its three facets related to: tangible rural heritage; agrifood heritage; rural way of life heritage) is a specific non-economic motivation for agritourism entrepreneurship. Methodology. A survey on a sample of 226 Italian agritourism operators was conducted in March 2015. Data were first analysed through a Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and then through the importance-performance analysis (IPA). Findings. The results show that there are 5 different groups of motivations to start the agritourism business, namely: i) economic motivations; ii) personal and family-related motivations; iii) tangible rural heritage preservation and enhancement; iv) agrifood heritage preservation and enhancement; v) rural way of life heritage preservation and enhancement. Hence " heritage preservation and enhancement " (in its three facets) has a pivotal role and it is more important than economic motivations. Similarly operators are more satisfied for having contributed to heritage preservation than for having obtained economic benefits from the agritourism activity. Research limits. Caution should be paid before extending these results to countries other than Italy (where, for example, agrifood heritage has a strong and peculiar tradition and connection with the territory). Practical implications. Operators are well aware of their contribution to the preservation and enhancement of local heritage but also perceive that tourists are not always able to appreciate the value of this contribution and have misconceptions about the essence of agritourism. This may be the result also of the use of the label " agritourism " to indicate offerings (such as agri-spas or basic accommodation services) which do not primarily focus on the link with local heritage. Therefore, it is important that " authentic agritourism " operators that focus on heritage (in its three facets) are able to share the efforts to make potential guests aware about the uniqueness of their offering, emphasizing the strong link with the local heritage. Originality of the study. This is the first study in the literature stream about agritourism entrepreneurship to demonstrate that locale heritage preservation and enhancement is a distinct, key motivation for agritourism operators.

In this study, how the innovative career counselling at the career offices of the different universities affects the university students in their career path was critically analysed by studying the different cases of the world universities in the US and in Turkey. The changing atmosphere in the higher education and job environment had critically changed the university students' decision-making processes. Today, the new career counselling approach is needed and called "talent management" in search of alternative perspectives (Capelli, 2008). As Berger and his friends (2011) mention that even though the current talent management literatüre has a too narrow and one-dimensional approach, the innovative career counselling offices develop talent management in order to decrease career conflicts by helping the students in their career decisions. İn the new talent management, the three dimensions are taken into considerations which are namely, majors, talents, and skills. The new perspectives in the career counselling are not only valuable for the development of the students in their fields in general but also essential for the success and reputation of the universities in different contexts. İn order to understand the real effects of innovative career counselling in decision making process of the university students while decreasing their conflicts, the data were collected by using a phenomenological analysis (Moustakas, 1994, p. 2). Hence, the original data were gathered from "naive" descriptions by asking open-ended questions and dialogue. The researcher described the experiences based on reflection and interpretation of the research participant's story. İn this study, the university students (n=48), who studied from seven different universities in the US and in Turkey had participated and answered semi structured interview and focus group questions. Since a few universities had been using talent management, there were some limitations in sampling. Additionally, ali the students were Turkish due to the limitation in reaching ali the students in the US. Furthermore, the results were finalised by processing Atlas.ti 6 in order to understand deeply the complex structure of the role of the career counselling offices on career decisions and career conflicts among the students. As a result, the data show that the new career counselling called in general as talent management had inevitably affected decision making process of the university students in many ways. Even though most (83%) students were happy to contact and to work with the career counselling offices since they had become good in adapting quickly in the changing conditions of the market. The large number (98%) clarified that they had conflicts in choosing right career path, and they tried to choose majors to earn money rather than learn. Hence, in this career decision process only (96%) agreed that career counseling
offices were very well structured in helping to integrate and penetrate into the market. The data showed that the career counselling offices in the US were significantly different than those in Turkey, particularly in understanding the needs and the talents of the students by giving different assessments and in developing the social network with the business world. Even though the students in Turkey had same kind of interests, skills, and talents, they had been living significant conflicts due to the lack of proper career counselling at their universities called "talent management." İn this context, ali the students who study in Turkey were not happy and satisfied and that mentioned that they were living deep career conflicts in the 3rd and 4th grade. However, those students, who studied in the best universities in the US where career-counseling offices were active and well organized, had better self-confidence. In one of these universities, new approach of the career counselling had been using innovatively by taking holisticaily the concept of the career conselling so that all the students clearly mentioned that they did not have negative experience or conflicts in their decisions. They had been involved in their career decision activities while they were studying at the universities by attending actively in workshops, counselling sessions, assessment process, and mentoring.  Berger, L A., & Berger, D. It is important to ensure and extend that education has modern, rational, scientific and democratic attributes at every level. An education programme has been developed in order to support personal, social and academic development of teachers and students in high schools. The programme had been carried out in Ümraniye and Gaziosmanpaşa districts of Istanbul by the Ministry of Education during 2011-2012 education term. The programme consists of series of education, seminar, workshop, culture and art activities for supporting personal, social and academic development of teachers. This study reveals if the programme caused any change on teachers. The aim of the study is to measure the effectiveness of the programme that has been carried on the teachers of two different districts and to assess the social, emotional and intellectual changes in teachers caused by the programme. According to the results of the study, emotional intelligence of teachers increased from 47% to 56% in Ümraniye and from 50% to 54% in Gaziosmanpaşa and leadership skills increased from 53% to 57% in Ümraniye and from 53% to 54% in Gaziosmanpaşa.

Gelecekte potansiyel çalışan olarak öğrencilerin üniversite öncesinde hangi üniversiteyi seçeceklerini, hangi bölümde okuyacaklarını, okudukları bölümlerin hangi alanlarında ihtisaslaşacaklarını, kendi kişiliklerine göre hangi yetenek ve becerilerini geliştireceklerini, nerelerde staj ya da proje geliştirerek liderlik yapabileceklerini belirlemek üzere yetenek yönetiminin yapılması gerekmektedir. Bu sayede çok  daha emin olan öğrencilerin üniversite sonrasında seçecekleri mesleklerde ve iş alanlarında daha başarılı ve mutlu olmaları kaçınılmazdır (Guile, 2002). Bu nedenle yurtdışındaki iyi üniversitelerdeki örneklerle birlikte Türkiye'de kariyer merkezleri kurulmakta ve kurulan bu merkezler vasıtasıyla öğrencilerin yönlendirmeleri sağlanarak iş dünyası ile körü görevini oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırma da stratejik yetenek yönetimi ve kariyer danışmanlığı uygulayan kariyer ofisinin uygulamayanlara göre olan etkisi araştırılmak istenmiştir.

This research explores the experiences of 18 gifted high school students career decision process which took 2 years 8 months. The students were from three different schools in İstanbul, and they had been taking career counseling in order to decide about their majors in their university years. The interactions with the students provided the data to answer the research questions, ''What are the difficulties, if any, to choose the right career path after the high school years, particularly the major that they want to study at the university?'' The data were gathered through in-depth interviews during the therapies including, the preparations of the documents for overseas applications which were recorded, transcribed verbatim, coded, and analyzed for patterns. The patterns became the prevalent themes for discussion in the findings and analysis.

The main aim of this research is to analyze critically the importance of career counseling on metacognitive skills and self-efficacy during the undergraduate studies. According to Herr (1997), career counseling, career guidance, and career interventions are general terms, which mean the process of evolution. In the lifespan development, people face different adjustment problems in different areas, particularly in their career: hence, there is a growing acknowledgement that career and personal counseling are fused in order to help people in terms of coping with different problems. Even though Mastropieri and Scruggs (2000) explain that metacognition is the knowledge about one’s own learning, in the development of metacognitive skills, during the career counseling sessions, people become more aware about their own cognitive skills and abilities. Therefore, cognitive oriented therapies help and develop alternative approaches as learning environment in which people have become active participants in the learning process. Additionally. As Zimmerman (1995) clearly mentions that metacognitive is not enough for people’s self-regulation. Hence, self-efficacy plays an important and crucial role. According to some important researches, Bandura (1993) and Countinho and Neuman (2008), both self-efficacy and metacognitive strategies (Dunning, Johnson, Ehrlinger, Kruger, 2003: Phakiti, 2003; Thiede et al.,2003: Zhang, 2012) work together in terms of better performances. Furthermore, self-efficacy has positive impacts on the development of metacognitive strategies, particularly in motivational aspect (Clause et al., 2001: Klassen, 2006) More importantly, strategy instruction, especially given during the career counseling sessions may improve self-efficacy (Graham, 2011). For that reason, in this study by using a phenomenological analysis, the effects of career counseling have been observed for three months on the metacognitive skills and self-efficcy of the 42 university students. After the career counseling sessions 18 research questions are answered in the semi-structured interviews and the data are analyzed through Atlas.ti 7 to understand deeply the reasons. The results show that since the career counseling sessions have increased self-efficacy of the large number (86%) of the participants, they strongly suggest career counseling sessions which improve their metacognitive skills. More critically, some of the participants (56%), especially  those who are women, have pointed out that career counseling help them to reach their goals related to their business lives. Moreover, a large number of the participants (87%) emphasize that career counseling sessions do not help them only in self-efficacy, but in metacognitive skills: hence, inter- relationship and intra- relationship between self-efficacy and metacognitive skills are significantly powerful. During the sessions, the responsibilities and skills of metacognition and self-efficacy are transferred from the counselor to the participants.

Problem Statement: The number of the students, who are taking massive open online courses(MOOCs), has markedly increased at the universities where the revenues are strategically financing the budget of the universities.
Research Questions: What the effects of the MOOCs were on funding the universities was studied in this study,while they were diminishing the quality of teaching and learning because the interaction decreased.
Purpose of the Study: This study examined strategically the effects of the MOOCs on funding and financing the universities. In order to understand critically the students’ spending on online courses, the quality of teaching and learning was questioned in this digital age. The interactions between teachers and students had also interactively overviewed.
Research Methods: In this study, the quantitative study had preferred taking into consideration the perceptions and the experiences of the students (654),the lecturers (34),the experts(22) of the MOOCs. Two different surveys related to the outcomes of the MOOCs and the effects of MOOCs on financing the two universities were used. The data were analyzed and clustered according to the participants’ profiles.
Findings: The study shows the students’ participations on MOOCs had increased while increasing the revenues from these MOOCs.The funding from the MOOCs was a new subject and the universities did not critically know how to invest for long-term sustainable goals.As the participants had mentioned most of the technical investments were not planned strategically to meet the needs.
Conclusions: In conclusion,the students were not happy about the content of these MOOCs,but they attended just having the certificates.As lecturers mentioned that the interaction between the students and teachers were very limited:however,they participated in the MOOCs in order to earn just money.The MOOCs quality is limited for all stakeholders who take all these MOOCs from the commercial perspective.

Problem Statement: The universities need good funding and financing in order to have sustainable development and growth for their internal as well as external systems. Hence, they need well-rounded ecosystems.
Research Questions: In this study,which activities of the universities have more return and impact is critically studied since most of the universities have changed and transformed from teaching to research universities.
Purpose of the Study: The purpose of this study is to understand how universities can have the sustainable growth, success, and quality assurance in these global competitive economies by improving the return and the impacts of the research, development, and innovation while decreasing their costs and expenses in their budgets and investments.
Research Methods: The perceptions and the experiences of the managers (38), who were responsible about research, development, and innovation at two state and two private universities, were analyzed in the phenomenological analysis where twenty research questions were answered through the semi-structured interactive interviews. The collected data of this study, which were analyzed in data analysis software-program NVivo 10.
Findings: The results showed clearly that a few number of the participants (18%), who were active in research, development, and innovation had significantly much better results in the return of these activities. However, those (82%), who could not be so successful in research, development, and innovation, had troubles in making long-term strategic investments since they did not see financial security. Conclusions: As a result, the universities,which have made the research, development, and innovation have more benefits, returns, and impacts comparing those who are doing less or teaching rather than research.The universities, which have significantly more innovation opportunities, like technology parks, and technology transfer and licensing offices,can make right investments and improvements that have synergic effects on returns and impacts.

This study examined the significance of the individual and collective contributions of socioeconomic variables (unemployment, employability, socioeconomic status, job-skill match, and occupational mobility) to overschooling at the tertiary education level. Based on this, two hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Using stratified random sampling technique, this ex-pot-facto research selected 500 students for the study from the Postgraduate School, University of Uyo. The self-assessment Graduate Overschooling Questionnaire (GROQUE) designed by the researchers was used in obtaining data which was subsequently analysed using regression analysis. The results indicate that unemployment, employability, socioeconomic status, job-skill match had a potent collective effect on overschooling whilst occupational mobility returned as the most potent individual predictor of overschooling. The implication of these findings for entrepreneurship education was assessed.

Problem Statement: Even though the statistics of women in higher education at STEM departments is high, their leadership in the departments is low because they are strongly discouraged in participation.
Research Questions: Hence, how the universities’ strategies can be changed to encourage the participation of women as leaders at STEM departments is systematically questioned by making the comparative study at different Turkish universities.
Purpose of the Study: The goals are to understand the three different universities’ experiences related to the women’s leadership in STEM Departments. Although the statistics of women in studying at STEM Departments is increasing, the inclusion of women as leaders in the higher education management is analyzed by studying the reasons and hidden agenda.
Research Methods: In the study, a phenomenological analysis is used by collecting data related to the experiences and perceptions of the women as well as men, directly and indirectly playing important roles at the universities. The ten subjects were defined by the participants related to the reasons and hidden agenda of discouraging women’s leadership at STEM Departments of the universities, particularly in engineering departments.
Findings: This NVivo analysis showed the women’s leadership at STEM Departments was low since as the participants mentioned the conservative policies affected the university administration, particularly those of the state universities. Even though the leaders who had actively responsible in STEM Departments did not see any discouragement for the women, most of them had declared they were not supported, assigned, or elected as leaders.
Conclusions: So, the findings show that the women’s leadership was not so strong as expected. More critically, their leadership statistics was decreasing comparing to past years though their number was increasing as students. Their career path had been changing in studying STEM, but not in their work environments, especially at the university management due to neo-conservative policies, which created segregation.

Problem Statement: As Woods (2015) has mentioned that the flip side of resiliency opens new dimension in innovation.In other words,how the problems are faced is increasing the success in innovation.
Research Questions: Hence, how the universities’ resiliency strategies are meeting the today’s innovation and technology based problems is critically questioned by making the comparative study in the US, Netherlands, and Turkey.
Purpose of the Study: This research has objectives in understanding the three different universities’ resiliency policies and strategies in order to increase innovation by solving short and long-term problems. While conducting these strategies, the budgets of the universities spent in solving the problems were analyzed in terms of outputs,successes,and achievements in their fields.
Research Methods: By using a phenomenological analysis,the data were collected through white paper documents related to the issue.The twelve different top issues related to the resiliency policies in increasing innovation were analysed different universities in the US, in Netherlands, and in Turkey.While taking into account the resiliency strategies,the budgets allocation policies of the universities were examined in NVivo 10.
Findings: This study clarifies how the resiliency strategies helped the universities to increase heterogeneous innovation activities in three different countries.The findings show failures in science and technology open new dimension in refreshing the ideas:therefore,some universities in the US and Netherlands changed their curricula and projects where they gave more importance to the failures,deficiencies,and distraction to improve agility and innovation.
Conclusions: Though these failures had caused expenses in the budgets,they turned to the research as strategic benefits,which flipped the system by changing higher education and financial situation from the ground up.Although the American and Dutch universities were conducting these strategies as university policies,in Turkish universities this system had been intensively experienced,but it did not take into account as policies.

ProblemStatement: Inthecompetitiveglobalenvironments,universitieshave become very important since they develop very innovative ecosystems for the economy by conducting right investments:therefore,Big Data Management is needed to make right decisions
Research Questions: Which investment area is more important than the other,especially about systems,infrastructures,human capital,and research and development is questioned while decreasing costs and expenses.
Purpose of the Study: In order to make right decisions on university investments while decreasing the costs and expenses,the new assessment is needed by using Big Data Management (BGM),which is a very complex system to conduct properly.So, BGM Assessment has developed to understand the priorities fields for the investments, which have impacts.
Research Methods: In the development of this assessment, after the systematic deep interviews were conducted with the experts of the university management, the critical literature review was done to develop the items. In the content validity,eight experts’ recommendations had taken and the 120 items was assessed with a five- point scale in the sample consisted of 158 experts from five different universities. Findings: The item-total correlation test,comparisons for upper and lower 45 % groups,exploratory factor analysis,and Alpha coefficient were used for psychometric examination.All items had factor loadings more than 0.65.Cronbach’s α for the entire scale was 0.96. In the internal consistency,each of the scales reinforced the results of factor analysis, showing that the results were significantly consistent.
Conclusions: Consequently, since the psychometric quality of the instrument has proved high quality, the results BGM Assessment are found reliable and valid to measure systematically right decisions on university investments, particularly on systems, infrastructures, human capital, and R&D while decreasing the costs and expenses. Hence, the BGM Assessment will open new dimensions for the university managers’ in their investment decisions.

The importance of the makers’ projects at the universities has significantly increases because they open new dimension in innovation and technological development. By involving in different makers’ projects the university students as well as the researchers and academics have participated in actively a wide variety of information, which accelerate them in creativity, innovation, patenting, and licensing.

In this study, the effects of makers’ projects on accelerating creativity, innovation, patenting, and licensing were critically studied. Furthermore, how empathy had been affected the participants in creating innovative products, services, and processes by involving actively in learning process. Since in the makers’ projects informal and non-formal learning had been much more effective than formal learning, the participants’ creativity and collaboration had markedly increased. In that way, the patenting and licensing oriented innovation had deeply and intensively improved comparing to other ecosystems, particularly those, which were related to formal learning in which individual competitions were extremely high.

In order to analyze the effects of the makers’ projects on accelerating creativity, innovation, patenting and licensing, the phenomenological interpretive analysis is used to investigate this new interactive ecosystem. Mainly the graduate level students (43), the experienced researchers (12) and academics (4) had attended from two state and three private universities in order to the study their behaviors and attitudes while taking into account their perception regarding to the effects of the makers’ projects environment. By using the phenomenological analysis, twenty-six research questions were answered in the semi-structured interactive interviews by the target participants, who were from engineering departments, medical school, and basic sciences. The collected data were analyzed in data analysis software-program NVivo 10.

As a result, the data showed clearly that most of the participants (81%), who were played important roles in makers’ projects, had significantly better results in creativity, innovation and technology oriented projects. Furthermore, most of the makers’ project had developed better cooperative and collaborative ecosystems for most of the participants (97%) who created easily new products and services which had the potential of patenting and licensing. More importantly, the results had clearly showed that, those who were more involved in the makers’ projects in a team they had much more empathy in understanding the needs of the industries and those who need help. As most of the participants (93%) agreed that the makers’ projects had significantly accelerate open innovation since informal and non-formal learning develops new values, particularly transparency, trustworthiness, ethics, empathy, self control team capabilities, responsibilities, accountability, and resiliency. Additionally, since they had realized the needs of the market and final users, their divergent thinking opened new dimensions in the makers’ projects in which most of the outcomes had seen as licensing patents. In conclusion, the makers’ projects helped the participants to change their behaviors and attitudes of the participants’ teamwork capacity in redesigning and testing innovative products and services due to the fact that they gained empathy and resiliency as new values.
