In the recent years, the word productivity has gained popularity in the business world. The problem of scarcity has a deep rooted impact on the economies of each and every business unit. Almost all organizations, either reactively or proactively, have become serious on their productivity. Moreover, in today’s world of cut-throat competition, every organization is striving hard to have an upper edge over their competitors. The organizations have realized that enhancing their productivity goes a long way in success of their business operations and thus productivity has become a matter of great concern amongst them.

The importance of small businesses and SME's has been well established in the literature of the world economy. Thus, both industrialized and developing countries, development, support of small businesses as part and parcel of their productivity strategies have. Small industries are a major driver of employment, economic growth and productivity. About 80% of all companies in the world are less than 10 cases of human resources, so 95% of industries in the UK, Spain and Finland and 94 %, in America 79 % component industries are small and micro enterprises. In Iran, about 92 percent of small businesses have formed companies which are now 4 1% of the labor force to employment. In this article, after mentioning the definition of small industries, productivity management and PD CTPM role, the importance of productivity in small industries with comprehensive modeling viewpoint of productivity in small industries of Japan paid And the expression of programs to improve the productivity of small industries and comprehensive strategy for the management of their productivity.

The packaging of cement is an important factor for improved productivity and maintaining the quality of packed cement. Because of steady growth of demand, supply and requirements of quality packed cement with right quantity, more emphasis should be given on packaging system and it is necessary to modernize the packing system of a cement plant. In this connection, two case studies have been conducted in two different organizations. The study extracts the overall scenario of the packaging system, packing performance, critical problems and other aspects in connection with quality of packed cement and efficiency of packing technology. It has been found from the study that the organization which is using stationary packing machine for cement packing is facing a lot of problems that reduce the packing performance and the quality of the packed cement. In contrast, the organization that uses rotary packing machine for its packing purpose is in better position in context of packing capacity, weighing system, manpower requirement, and quality of packing. However, the research work proposes some recommendations for the studied organization to improve the packing performance.

Assam is the largest tea producing state in India which occupied its unique position by producing more than fifty percent of national tea production. In the year 2015-16, Assam produces 653 Million kg of tea which is fifty three percent of national production. Tea Plantation area of Assam is about 3.22 Lakh hectares which is also more than half of the country's total area under tea. Tea industry extended largest support by generating highest employment opportunities in Assam by providing average daily employment to more than six lakh persons in the State, which is around fifty percent of the total average daily waged employee in the country. Assam teas are popular in the foreign countries due to their strong, brisk and full bodied liquor. The industry plays a vital role in the state economy by earning foreign currency as well as through direct and indirect taxes. The growth rate of production of tea in India in general and Assam in particular is not satisfactory in compare to the other tea producing countries like China, Sri Lanka, Keniya etc. Attention to be given for substantial growth of tea production of Tea Industry of Assam Assam which is the one of the major backbone of economy of the state as well the country. This paper aims to analyze the total productivity tea production in Tea Industry of Assam. The paper also highlights the partial productivity of tea production of tea Industry of Assam. Data collected trough field survey were analyzed using different statistical tools to find the relationship amongst different variables.

Thi s article attempts to explain how the innovation process is determined by factors external to the firm, whose productivity is calculated and analysed in terms of systemic innovation factors. To that end, it describes the internal innovation capabilities of firms, which explain variations in their productivity across sectors. The productivity of manufacturing firms is constructed using the Abramovitz residual method (social accounting), referred to as total factor productivity (tfp), or the Solow residual. Nonetheless, a number of theoretical problems are avoided, such as the effect of scale, aggregation and the heterogeneity of the factors considered in the model. The tfp of Brazilian manufacturing firms is explained by their internal capabilities and by product innovation in the sector to which they belong, which shows that innovation depends on institutions located within the industry.

This study examines the effect of six different strategic orientations on SMEs' business growth in a cross-national context. An extensive data set with 1120 effective responses were collected from two European countries namely Hungary, representing a post socialist rapidly growing market, and Finland with stable, highly developed and competitive economy.
