Rural Architecture

People live in their physical and social environments and they ought to arrange their relations via physical and social environments surrounding them to meet sheltering need, which is their essential requirement. When, especially, traditional residential architecture that represents historical and cultural backgrounds of societies is examined, the critical importance of human-environment relation is observed. When Anatolian traditional residential architecture is examined, it is observed that, as in many societies, dwellings are the reflections of the physical and social structures of the region where they are located. Dwellings that are structured differently in various parts of Anatolia signify both physical conditions and social characteristic and rich cultural background of the region they are located. In this sense, vernacular dwellings in Eastern Black Sea Region have a key position in the Anatolian residential architecture. Within the scope of this study, the impact of physical and social factors on residential architecture was analyzed by focusing on the vernacular dwellings in Eastern Black Sea Region (in Turkey). In this study, structuring process of the vernacular dwellings in Eastern Black Sea Region was examined from the housing scale to the location scale in terms of physical and social factors.

Günümüzde Denizli'nin Sarayköy ilçesine bağlı Hisarköy Mahallesi, M.Ö. II. yüzyıla kadar uzanan bir geçmişe sahiptir. Antik çağın Roma kentlerinden biri olan ve adına Attouda denilen bu yerleşim yerinde yaşam neredeyse hiç kesilmeden bugüne kadar gelmiştir. Kurulduğu günden bu yana birçok medeniyete ev sahipliği yapan kentin son kültür katmanı ise XIII. yüzyıldan itibaren Türkler tarafından şekillendirilmiştir. XIV. yüzyılda Anadolu Selçuklu Devleti ile Bizans İmparatorluğunun Batı Anadolu'daki hâkimiyeti sağlama girişimleriyle zaman zaman sınırları değişen bölge, nihayetinde 1429 yılında tamamen Osmanlı topraklarına katılmış ve Hisarköy Kütahya Sancağı'na bağlanmıştır. Anadolu topraklarının Osmanlı Devleti tarafından idari bölgelere ayrılması yüzyıllara göre değişiklik gösterse de Hisar, çevresindeki daha büyük yerleşim yerlerine bağlı bir köy olarak varlığını uzun yıllar sürdürmüştür. Hisarköy Camisi ise bu tarihsel sürecin XIX. yüzyılına ait örneklerindendir. Hisarköy'ün meydanına hâkim bir noktada yer alan cami, sonradan yapılan müdahalelerle değişikliğe uğrasa da plan kurgusu bakımından döneminin özelliklerini yansıtmaktadır. Güneydoğu-kuzeybatı doğrultusunda eğimli bir arazi üzerine inşa edilen cami dikdörtgen planlı harim ve bunun kuzeyindeki son cemaat yerinden oluşmaktadır. Üzeri ahşap kırma çatı ile kapatılan caminin kitabesi bulunmamakla birlikte kapının yukarısında yer alan metal levha üzerinde Latin harfleriyle 1880 tarihi yazılıdır. Ancak bu tarihi referans gösteren herhangi bir kitabe, yazıt veya arşiv belgesine rastlanılmamıştır. Çalışmada caminin mimari ve süsleme özellikleri üzerinde durularak tanıtımı yapılmış ve çevre köylerdeki benzer örneklerle karşılaştırılmıştır. Caminin eski fotoğraflardan ve yöre halkından sağlanan veriler ışığında özgün haliyle ilgili olasılıklar üzerinde durulmuştur. İnşa tarihi bilinmeyen Hisarköy Camisi'nin bu sorununa ışık tutacak ahşap bir kitabenin araştırma sırasında tespit edilmesi, konunun özgün değerini ortaya koymaktadır.

This study analyses the architectural features, historical development and conservation processes of the Syriac religious
buildings in the village of Hah (Anıtlı) in the Midyat district of Mardin. Mor Sarkis and Mor Bakos Monastery, Mor
Shmuel Church, Mor Sobo (Saba) Cathedral and Virgin Mary Monastery which are discussed within the scope of the
study, draw attention as important buildings belonging to the early Christian period. These buildings, together with
their construction techniques, architectural details and the changes they have undergone over time, play an important
role in the evolution of Syriac Orthodox religious architecture. The research evaluates the current conditions of these
buildings and reveals the effects of the restorations on their structural integrity and historical identity. The analyses
emphasise the necessity of interventions in accordance with international restoration regulations and principles for
the conservation of buildings. Moreover, these religious buildings, which represent the cultural and historical fabric
of the region, should be considered as part of not only a local but also a universal cultural heritage. The findings of
the study serve as a reference for the conservation and restoration of other Assyrian religious buildings in the region
and aim to shed light on future academic/scientific studies and conservation projects. Preserving and transferring
these religious buildings in Anıtlı Village, which provides important architectural and archaeological data, to future
generations is of great importance for the sustainability of cultural heritage.

Traditional building materials have developed over time and are shaped by local climatic conditions and environmental factors. Naturally occurring and easily workable materials such as stone, wood, adobe, and brick have been widely used in traditional construction techniques. Due to their natural insulation properties, durability, and aesthetic qualities, these materials have enabled the construction of environmentally compatible and long-lasting structures.
With the Industrial Revolution, industrial materials such as steel, concrete, and glass became prevalent, accelerating the construction of large-scale and cost-effective buildings while introducing new possibilities in architectural design. However, the decline in the use of traditional materials has sparked debates concerning urban identity and the preservation of cultural heritage.
Contemporary architectural practice increasingly explores alternative approaches combining traditional and modern materials. The integration of conventional materials with contemporary techniques not only promotes sustainable construction practices but also contributes to the
preservation of cultural heritage. Reinterpreting local materials through modern construction technologies supports ecological balance by reducing the carbon footprint.
This study examines how traditional and modern building materials can be integrated and evaluates such integration's environmental and cultural implications. This approach serves the principles of sustainable architecture and promotes the preservation of cultural heritage, thereby contributing to the development of a conscious and balanced design philosophy.

Com'è noto, i Comitati Scientifici Nazionali si configurano come organismi tecnici di Icomos Italia ai quali è affidato l'approfondimento della conoscenza nei vari settori del patrimonio e delle loro specifiche problematiche di conservazione e valorizzazione, e appunto per il ruolo strategico assunto nel raggiungimento degli obiettivi statutari di Icomos sono stati oggetto di rinnovata attenzione da parte dell'attuale presidenza e consiglio direttivo, proponendone il rilancio e la riorganizzazione all'interno di una nuova architettura complessiva. In particolare l'Area 4 -Applicazioni e categorie regionali, nella quale il Comitato italiano per l'Architettura vernacolare (CIAV) è inserito, comprende altri tre comitati scientifici, dedicati a Patrimonio militare e fortificazioni (ICOFORT), Patrimonio del XX secolo (ISC20C) e Patrimonio industriale (ISCIH), apparentemente del tutto eterogenei, ma in realtà accomunati dalla 'fragilità' delle rispettive categorie di beni, non tanto in senso fisico, ma per la scarsa propensione a considerarli parte di un patrimonio materiale e immateriale, con pericolose conseguenze sulla possibilità di preservarne le testimonianze in assenza di un condiviso riconoscimento di valori. Nel riconvertire un simile atteggiamento di indifferenza, il CIAV ha offerto una concreta prospettiva tramite un'iniziativa che può considerarsi esemplare. Sebbene l'omologo Comitato internazionale risulti istituito e operativo fin dal 1976, il corrispondente Comitato italiano è sorto solo alla fine del 2020 su impulso di un qualificato, ma ancora ristretto, gruppo di soci. Nel corso della I Conferenza dei Comitati Scientifici Nazionali di Icomos Italia tenutasi il 30 gennaio 2021, il giovane comitato presentava un mirato programma di attività, comprendente appunto una giornata di studio sull'architettura rurale, nella quale chiamare a raccolta il contributo di diversi esperti. Oggi dobbiamo riconoscere che non solo il progetto ha avuto rapida attuazione, ma che il risultato ha superato le più rosee aspettative, coinvolgendo la partecipazione di oltre ottanta relatori di diversa provenienza e ambito disciplinare, così da coprire uno spettro ampio -cronologicamente e geograficamente -di casi-studio e di problematiche conservative. Bisogna pertanto tributare il dovuto merito agli organizzatori, ma anche interrogarsi sui motivi di un così numeroso riscontro. Una chiave per la risposta può essere individuata nel sottotitolo proposto: la memoria del Paese, che immediatamente richiama alla ricchezza di saperi costruttivi, pratiche e consuetudini dell'abitare che appartengono alla cultura contadina, e dunque a quel vasto repertorio di beni materiali, ma anche immateriali che essi esprimono. El presente trabajo de grado, es una investigación que trata sobre el impacto positivo que podría tener la construcción de una red de equipamientos como parques biblioteca en la zona urbana y rural del municipio de Albán, Nariño. En las diferentes escalas (regional, departamental y municipal) se han detectado falencias particulares, pero son el resultado de una común; aún no se cuenta ni con la cantidad y/o calidad de un espacio como lo es una biblioteca pública, lo cual desdibuja su imagen ante la sociedad y la pérdida de interés en ella cada vez es más notorio. En adición, existe una problemática grave en el sector social del municipio, en el cual los índices de drogadicción, alcoholismo, embarazos a temprana edad, entre otros, van en aumento significativo comparándolos a nivel departamental. Dicha problemática se atribuye al no aprovechamiento del tiempo libre. Con lo anterior, se plantea un proyecto que tenga como objeto no sólo suplir las necesidades básicas de una biblioteca, sino como herramienta de activación de la misma, ofrezca una mayor oferta de espacios en los cuales la cultura y los procesos investigativos que den resultados tangibles, sean eje clave de los equipamientos. Así mismo, llevar la biblioteca a la zona rural que históricamente ha estado en el abandono estatal, brindando mediante el conocimiento y la cultura una alternativa para desarrollar y/o potenciar las habilidades de la comunidad. .

Sostiene John Habracken che l'opera di Leon Battista Alberti sposta l'attenzione dell'architetto dall'ambiente quotidiano e dalla tradizione verso nuovi soggetti. Tesi questa ampiamente condivisa fino alla comparsa del Movimento Moderno, quando il tema dell'abitare assurge a nuovi valori: «what is common cannot be special, but it can be of high quality. That kind of quality first of all requires that those who work in the same location share values to a significant extent». Per tutto il Novecento, la residenza "comune" diventa pertanto l'ambito di studi per eccellenza, soggetto in cui ricercare quell'auspicata qualità menzionata dall'architetto olandese perché, come egli sostiene, l'abitare costituisce «the most widely shared experience in a culture». Una residenza "comune", il cohousing Sangiorgio a Ferrara-realizzazione dello studio bolognese Rizoma Architetture-che rispecchia con evidenza le peculiarità individuate da Habracken circa la partecipazione degli utenti alla produzione residenziale di massa. I meccanismi progettuali sottesi al cohousing ferrarese richiamano alla memoria anche il pensiero di Giancarlo De Carlo, al centro del dibattito disciplinare sviluppatosi intorno agli anni Settanta sul tema della partecipazione in architettura. La residenza collettiva Sangiorgio è il risultato di una (rara) collaborazione che ha visto il coinvolgimento tanto degli architetti quanto dei residenti, essendo il cohousing forse il solo campo progettuale contemporaneo in cui realmente si attua il processo di partecipazione in ogni sua fase. Ciò richiede una forte coesione fra i membri della comunità, ma anche una visione collegiale e condivisa, supportata da regole e valori. Come sosteneva De Carlo, è il processo partecipato, comunitario, che diventa lo strumento per dare nuovamente vigore alla «cultura diffusa dell'abitare». L'adozione di questo sistema sarebbe finalizzato alla sottrazione della conoscenza della creazione dello spazio al monopolio dell'architetto moderno, riconducendo tale creazione a una platea più ampia in cui i soggetti coinvolti nella conoscenza delle tecniche, nella realizzazione e nella fruizione degli spazi possano tornare nuovamente a coincidere, come accadeva già nell'antichità. Geçtiğimiz on yıllar boyunca birçok ülkede inşaat sektörü düşük performans ve azalan üretkenlik düzeyiyle karşı karşıya kalmıştır. İnşaatlardaki verimsizliklerin kaynağı araştırıldığında, bir taraftan sektörün şantiyedeki emek yoğun yapısının, diğer taraftan azalan mesleki beceri ve zanaatkarlık
seviyelerinin üretkenliğin artmasına engel olan temel faktörler olduğu görülmüştür. Geleneksel inşaatlardaki (şantiye-onsite) üretkenlik sorununun giderilmesi için yapılan çalışmalar, ön imalata dayalı
‘saha dışı inşaat’ (offsite construction) yöntemlerinin uygulanmasını önemli bir çözüm yolu olarak ortaya koymaktadır. Yapının bölümlerinin şantiye dışında kontrollü koşullarda altında üretildiği saha dışı inşaat
(SDİ) yaklaşımı sayesinde; kalite, güvenlik, maliyet, inşa süreleri, sürdürülebilirlik ve genel olarak üretkenlik bağlamında önemli avantajlar sağlanabilmektedir. Bu faydalarıyla SDİ, ahşap konutların daha
verimli inşa edilebilmesi açısından da literatürde yaygın bir şekilde önerilmekte ve İsveç, ABD, Birleşik Krallık ve Japonya gibi birçok ülkede az katlı ahşap konutların inşasında yüksek seviyelerde
kullanılmaktadır. Türkiye ahşap konut sektöründeki üretkenliğin artması ve ahşap yapıların daha rekabetçi bir hale gelebilmesi için de saha dışı inşaat yaklaşımı önem arz etmektedir. Türkiye ahşap konut sektöründeki firmalar ve uyguladıkları saha dışı inşaat yöntemleriyle ilgili literatürde az sayıda da olsa
araştırma bulunmaktadır. Ancak bu çalışmalarda firmalar ve inşa faaliyetleri saha dışı inşaat düzeyleri bağlamında sınıflandırılmamaktadır. Bu da sektörde saha dışı inşaat yaklaşımı çerçevesinde yapılacak çalışmalar için örneklem belirleme noktasında sorun oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmayla, Türkiye ahşap konut sektöründeki firmaların -saha dışı inşaat seviyelerini ölçmeye yarayan- ‘ön imalat değeri’ parametresi bağlamında sınıflandırılması amaçlanmaktadır. Böylelikle Türkiye ahşap konut sektörüyle ilgili saha dışı inşaat yaklaşımı temelinde yapılacak ileriki çalışmalara kaynak teşkil etmek hedeflenmektedir.

The Haor region is characterised by annual flooding, with over 90% of the land submerged for half of the year. The compact rural settlements characterized by indigenous architecture and planning techniques enable the village to cope with the challenging hydro-meteorologic conditions while fostering social cohesion. However, recent developments using non-local materials potentially can disrupt social coherence, thereby creating adverse effects on community wellbeing. Since the rural settlements have gone through organic growth, maintaining vernacular patterns and formal documentation of the planning concepts are essential. This research identifies the settlement pattern from empirical study, on-site observation, and analysis of the pattern with an understanding of local norms and architectural knowledge. It is evident from the study that the rural houses are built aligned with the cardinal directions even when the site orientation is different. The settlement clusters are linearly aligned to the monsoon flood flow direction. Though the linear courtyards are subdivided in terms of ownership, practically, they are maintained as barrier-free connectivity among houses within the same housing cluster. This research will provide valuable guidelines for future planning in the challenging topography of the Haor Basin.

A importância nacional da fazenda Ibicaba é reconhecida há muito tempo; em complemento a esta visão, o presente capítulo discute como a fazenda e sua administração influenciaram o desenvolvimento histórico local, sobretudo do município de Cordeirópolis. O capítulo está focado no papel da família Levy, sobretudo do Coronel José Levy, para a vida comunitária em Cordeirópolis, assim como para a política municipal no século XX, destacando-se aqui as figuras do Dr. Huberto Levy e do Dr. Cássio de Freitas Levy. Finalmente, o capítulo discute a evolução econômica da zona urbana de Cordeirópolis e como o crescimento demográfico do município, por sua vez, influenciou as dimensões rurais da fazenda Ibicaba nas últimas cinco décadas.

İnsanlık tarihi boyunca barınma, temel fizyolojik ihtiyaçlardan biri olarak önemini korumuş ve bireylerin yaşamlarını sürdürebilmeleri için vazgeçilmez bir unsur olmuştur. Bu ihtiyaç, ilk çağlardan itibaren insanların yaşadıkları coğrafi çevrenin sunduğu doğal kaynaklar doğrultusunda çeşitli çözümlerle karşılanmıştır. Erken dönemlerde insanlar, iklim koşulları, topografik yapı ve mevcut doğal malzemeler gibi çevresel etkenleri dikkate alarak taş, kerpiç, ahşap ve benzeri geleneksel yapı malzemelerini kullanarak barınaklar inşa etmişlerdir (Oliver, 2003). Bu malzemelerin kullanımı yalnızca fiziksel ihtiyaçları karşılamakla kalmamış, aynı zamanda kültürel ve toplumsal yapıların oluşumunda da belirleyici bir rol oynamıştır. Ancak, sanayi devrimiyle birlikte başlayan teknolojik ilerlemeler ve modernleşme süreci, yapı sektöründe köklü değişimlere neden olmuş; yeni, sentetik ve endüstriyel yapı malzemelerinin geliştirilmesiyle birlikte geleneksel malzemelerin kullanımı giderek azalmıştır. Beton, çelik, cam ve plastik gibi modern yapı malzemeleri, özellikle kentleşmenin hız kazandığı 20. yüzyılda mimari tasarımın ana unsurları hâline gelmiştir (Gustafson et al., 2019). Bu malzemeler, yapım sürecinde sundukları pratiklik ve hızlı üretim imkânları nedeniyle yaygınlaşmış olsa da, uzun vadede çevresel sürdürülebilirlik açısından birtakım olumsuzlukları beraberinde getirmiştir. Yüksek enerji tüketimi, karbon salımı, atık üretimi ve doğal kaynakların aşırı kullanımı gibi sorunlar, günümüzde sürdürülebilir mimarlığın önemini daha görünür kılmıştır (Ding, 2008).Bu bağlamda, mimari sürdürülebilirliğin sağlanabilmesi ve yapı sektörünün çevre üzerindeki olumsuz etkilerinin azaltılabilmesi adına geleneksel yapı malzemelerinin yeniden değerlendirilmesi ve kullanımının teşvik edilmesi gerekliliği ortaya çıkmaktadır. Geleneksel malzemeler, doğal kaynaklı olmaları, yerel iklim koşullarına uygunluk göstermeleri ve geri dönüştürülebilir yapıları sayesinde sürdürülebilir mimaride önemli avantajlar sunmaktadır (Fathy, 1986). Bununla birlikte, bu malzemelerin çağdaş ihtiyaçlara ve teknolojik standartlara uyarlanması, onları daha işlevsel ve yaygın kullanılabilir hâle getirebilir (Asdrubali et al., 2015).

Sonuç olarak, iyileştirilmiş geleneksel yapı malzemelerinin mimaride daha fazla yer bulması, hem çevresel hem de ekonomik açıdan birçok olumlu sonucu beraberinde getirecektir. Doğayla daha uyumlu yapıların inşası, karbon ayak izinin azaltılması, yerel malzeme ve iş gücünün kullanımı sayesinde bölgesel kalkınmanın desteklenmesi gibi katkılar, uzun vadede sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedeflerine ulaşılmasına önemli ölçüde katkı sağlayacaktır (UNEP, 2020). Bu bağlamda, sürdürülebilir bir gelecek için mimarlıkta geleneksel malzemelerin modern tasarımla entegre edilerek yeniden değerlendirilmesi büyük önem taşımaktadır.

This research explores the underappreciated traditional cold-water baths of Western Anatolia, once integral to the region's agrarian culture. Due to waves of change, which had markedly begun by the pandemic in 2019 and the aftermath of the 2020 Samos earthquake, there has been a growing interest in living in peri-urban areas, resulting in the invasion of agricultural grounds by new construction, mainly including detached houses with gardens. Such a harsh growth not only threatens the fertile lands, but also the irreplaceable cultural heritage they embrace. In this regional frame, this study focuses on three surviving baths within the Karaburun Peninsula, casting light on their current precarious state as relics of a diminishing rural way of life and local heritage. The traditional cold-water baths, constructed amidst agricultural fields for seasonal use in select villages throughout ˙Izmir, stand as unique exemplars of rural architecture. Characterised by their singular domed chambers and their reliance on water from adjacent wells, these structures today face abandonment and disrepair. Through a multidisciplinary lens blending ethnography, oral history, and spatial analysis, this paper portrays these unassuming yet culturally impactful baths, elucidating their intrinsic value within the heritage domain. The inquiry contributes significantly to the heritage conservation discussion, highlighting the broad spectrum of values beyond mere historical interest. By articulating the symbiotic relationship between heritage and its community, this research underscores the pressing need to weave these baths into the fabric of current social structures, safeguarding their place within the collective memory.

In the first decades of the twentieth century, prosperity in Iceland prompted the use of concrete to replace peat as the most common building material for farmhouses. Thanks to a technical office sponsored by the Rural Bank, the construction of concrete country houses was gradually standardised. The article analyses these new policies as described in Halldór Laxness’s novel Sjálfstætt fólk (1934-35; Independent People), in which Bjartur, a farmer living in the Icelandic highlands, decides to build himself a concrete house: his ambitious project clashes with the country’s merciless environmental conditions and the incompetence of some local workers. Between nostalgia for the past and hopes for a better future, concrete farmhouses herald modernity but, according to Laxness, look like the ruins of a shelled building.

Çalışmamızda sosyoloji ve tarih arasındaki ilişkilere dair fikirler ve orta çağdaki İngiliz toplumunun incelenmesine yönelik sosyolojik bir bakış açısının sağlayabileceği katkılar değerlendirildi. Orta Çağ'da iki ana İngiliz sosyal örgütlenme türü ve bunların tarihsel sonuçları hakkında görüşler sunuldu. Bir tarafta Doğu Anglia ve Kent'in, diğer tarafta ise merkezi veya açık tarla (open field) İngilteresi'nin sosyal örgütlenmesinin sosyal tarih ışığında sosyolojik yapıları incelendi. Ayrıca bu çalışmada özellikle aile örgütlenmesinin tarihine ve kurumların karşılıklı ilişkilerine de değinildi. Çalışmada Kent, Doğu Anglia ve açık tarla İngiltere örnekleri üzerinden manor çiftliklerinde lord-köylü ilişkisi ele alındı. Kent, Doğu Anglia açık tarla İngiltere'si manorlarında kullanılan aile örgütlenmesi ve manor teşkilatları farklıdır. Orta çağ İngiltere köy toplumunun temelini aile oluşturmaktadır. Bu ailelerin akrabalık ilişkileri hem köy teşkilatını hem de manor çiftlik örgütlenmesini etkilemektedir. Kent bölgesinde daha gevşek yani aile ilişkilerinin sıkı olmadığı bir örgütlenme biçimi varken Doğu Anglia'da ise daha sıkı bir aile ilişkisi vardır. Manor sisteminin hangi aile yapısında daha iyi teşkilatlandığı konusuna da çalışmamızda değerlendirildi.

Kırsal alanlar, kentsel ve doğal çevrelerin ara kesitinde oluşan ve insanın doğayla kurduğu ilişkinin görünür hale geldiği önemli alanlardır. Tarihi kırsal peyzajlar doğal, tarihi, kültürel, sosyal, ekonomik, politik, ideolojik, sembolik, çevresel ve ekolojik gibi somut ve somut olmayan bileşenlerin birlikte çalıştığı bir sistemden oluşur. Palimsest gibi çok katmanlı ve tarihi pek çok izi barındıran bu alanlar; bir bireyin değil, bütün bir topluluğun; programlı ve planlı bir projenin değil, nesilden nesile aktarılan ve geliştirilen tekniklerin sonucudur. Yaşamın döngüsel olarak hareket ettiği bu alanlar zamanla dışarıdan yapılan müdahalelerle büyük değişiklikler yaşamakta olsa da, yere ait pek çok izin devamlılığı kırsal alanda ve en büyük bileşeni olan mimaride varlığını sürdürmektedir. Bu çalışmada kırsal alanlara bütüncül bir bakış açısıyla yaklaşılarak, somut ve somut olmayan değerlerin birlikte kurdukları ilişkinin ve bu alanlara dair tarihsel katmanların, sürekliliğin ve değişimin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Antalya’nın batısında, Elmalı İlçesi kırsal alanı incelenmiş ve belirlenen alanlarda kırsal mimari miras tespit çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Tarihi araştırmalara ek olarak herhangi bir koruma çalışmasının yapılmadığı ve çevresel alanıyla bir bütün oluşturan Semayük/Müğren Ovası ve burada bulunan Gölova yerleşimi merkeze alınarak yerinde dijital belgeleme yapılmıştır. Çalışmalarda pek çok bilgi, yerleşimler arası ilişkiler, benzerlikler ve özgünlükler saptanmıştır. Belirlenen alanlardaki somut ve somut olmayan değerler incelenmiş, bu bilginin gelecek kuşaklara aktarılması amaçlanmış ve koruma sorunları saptanmıştır.

This study has two goals: presenting the characteristic features of a new street furniture intervention and examining them from the view-point of business. The conceptual lens used for this purpose is the resource-based view (R-BV) of the firm, which only gives importance to those resources which are deemed 'valuable', 'rare', 'inimitable' and 'nonsubstitutable'. The outcome of the theoretical assessment reveals the "value" of the new street furniture and the satisfaction with it, which is testified by the coming back of a number of firms, by the activation of private investments and by the fact that the existing businesses stopped leaving the old town centre. Emerges the possibility to exploit street furniture as a valuable firm's resource through the start-up of firms which apply widespread hospitality models as the 'Albergo Diffuso' (literally translated in:"scattered hotel").

Birtokszerzések a 17. század végéig Szatmár vármegye egyik legmeghatározóbb családja, a Károlyi az egyik legrégibb, a Kaplyon, vagy más néven Kaplony nemzetségből származik, amelyről a 13. század eleji Váradi Regestrumban található a legkorábbi feljegyzés. A család a lassú, de tudatos fejlődésnek köszönhetően a 16. század elejére Szatmár vármegye meghatározó családjává vált. A 17. században megszerezték a bárói címet (1609) és 1660-tól egészen 1803-ig ők töltötték be a főispáni tisztséget is. 1 A 17. század végéig a Károlyi-birtokok kevés kivétellel Szatmár megyére korlátozódtak. Ezek egyik része az ún. elsőfoglalási birtokok voltak, a többi pedig ún. ősi (16-17. századi) szerzemény. Az elsőfoglalási birtokok a Kaplony nemzetség Árpád-kori szállásterületeihez tartoztak, amely egyrészt a Szamos alsó folyásánál feküdt, másrészt az Ecsedi-láptól délre, az Ér mocsaráig nyúló síkságon szétszórtan, nyugatról a szabolcsi erdős, dombos homokpusztáktól, kelet felől pedig a Kraszna folyótól határoltan terült el. 2 Az ősi szerzemények részben szorosan csatlakoztak az elsőfoglalási birtokokhoz, másrészt az érmelléki és más Bihar megyei szőlőtermelő helységek kisebbnagyobb részeiből, illetve a Bereg megyei Muzsaly egy részéből álltak össze. 3 A 16. században Károlyi Mihály, aki Perényi-lányt vett feleségül, tovább bővítette a családi vagyont. A rozsályi Kun örökség részeként szerezte Kisar és Matolcs birtokokat 1590-ben. Vitkát 1591-ben megvette, Udvari ellenben csak zálogba került birtokába 1594-ben. Véglegesen csak fia (szintén Mihály) tudta megszerezni 1609-ben. Károlyi Mihály felesége, báró Segnyey Borbála révén került a család birtokába az ún. éradonyi jószág is (Éradony, Érkenéz, Mihályfalva, Pusztaapáti vagy Felsőapáti).

The "lake" of la Joconde discovered - The 13 "reference points" including the rocks and the Gobbo bridge
Some discoveries supported by photographic documentation add to the ongoing debate on the landscape of “la Joconde”.
We have always wondered about the fascinating "lake" to the right of the Louvre painting. A system of thirteen reference points present in the painting and in the real landscape of Bobbio allowed its identification (see the graphic reconstruction and panoramic photo).
The image of the first historic thermal establishment in Piancasale (from:” Il Piacenza”, 04/09/2018) arouses a surreal effect: it is almost impossible to believe that that place coincides with the vast expanse of water  painted by Leonardo to the right of the painting, which has always been believed to be a lake. At the beginning of the last century, the Piancasale thermal establishment stood there, opened by the Marquis Obizzo Landi Malaspina (1896-1903), then put back into operation by the lawyer Pietro Renati (1907), until its closure in 1928, the year in which the flow of water ran out, due to the construction of hydroelectric plants in Val Trebbia that were never completed.
Time has made unrecognizable that legendary place which was called "Piano and Casa del sale", where a salt well still proves the activity of the monks of San Colombano (beneficiaries of the ancient salt pans since 622). That water spring was used for the production of salt and for therapeutic purposes already at the time of the Romans and the Lombards, but at the time of Leonardo also the salt-bromine-iodine-radioactive thermal waters of Sant'Ambrogio in Piancasale, used for healing, had become the object of superstition (in Bobbio the waters of S, Martino, Rio Foino and the Carlone waterfall have a sulphurous component that was believed to be diabolical). The nature of those places was barren and wild, while today are rich in vegetation and attractive, but without the mysterious aura of the past. The historical and archival memories remain. There remains the indication on the regional technical map n° 197011 of the salsoiodic spring coinciding with that area, and, to confirm its location, there is  the 3D reconstruction by the Piacenza architect Angelo Bellocchi, in addition to photos and the satellite images of Google Earth.
The "point of view" of the research coincides with a window of the castle of Bobbio, from which the area of the Piancasale salt and iodine spring is visible to the naked eye, right in correspondence with the large expanse of water painted to the left of the lady (to the observer’s right ), as shown by the arrow on the panoramic photo indicating just the zone of the iodine-salt spring.
We don't know if the water expansion was as extensive at the time as it appears in the painting, but that area was just above a vast bend of the Trebbia river, at that time very rich in water and subject to massive flooding, and in which the thermal waters were dispersed: that mass water must have been a source of inspiration for the artistic imagination of Leonardo, whose studies focused on the centrality of water".
The thesis that places the landscape of la Joconde in Bobbio is also based on the historical reconstruction that identifies as the portrait model Bianca -Giovanna -  the Moro's eldest daughter who died mysteriously – and that proves the connections  of her husband Galeazzo Sanseverino and of the Sforzas with the Malaspina-Dal Verme castle, which was the Dal Verme stronghold. Furthermore, Sanseverino was Leonardo's patron during his first stay in Milan (1482-1499).
In the system of “13  coordinates", even the geological peculiarities of Bobbio,  reproduced here in some images, take on importance: in particular,  the "tectonic window" of Bobbio as well the documentation on the typical Bobbio ophiolites and on the very singular Pietra Parcellara,  symbol of the city. Also  the gullies, present on the rocky bank of the Gobbo bridge, attest compatibility with the dark rock mass on which the painted bridge rests.
Furthermore, in 2022 an international team of paleontologists (including Andrea Baucon and Gerolamo Lo Russo who have been studying that area for decades) found near Bobbio the same ichnofossils described in the Leicester Codex, defining that area " Leonardo's paleontological laboratory”.
The images  also show the unpublished project by the Bobbio architect Antonio Maria Losio (1741-1808),  which proves that no works had begun for the lengthening of the Bobbio bridge until the beginning of the 19th century. The ponte Gobbo therefore still had its original number of four smaller arches  plus the large arch. The comparison - necessarily approximate  between the ruined bridge painted by Leonardo and the technical scheme of the Gobbo bridge by Losio demonstrates similarities, taking into account that from 1472 to 1509 the four arches were structurally damaged and the large arch remained collapsed. According to the historical reconstruction carried out,  Leonardo  painted the Bobbio bridge in its state of devastation around 1496, the date of the wedding portrait of the young  Bianca Sforza (the girl hidden in the first portrait, that Pascal Cotte discovered with LAM technology under the enigmatic icon of the Louvre).

İnsanoğlu tarihin her evresinde barınma ihtiyaçlarını karşılama isteği içerisinde olmuştur. Barınma ihtiyaçlarını karşıladıkları konutlarında; kaçınılmaz şekilde sosyo-kültürel yapılarının ve fiziksel şartlarının izlerini bırakmışlardır.
Toplumların; tarihinin değişik evrelerinde, ihtiyaç içerisinde bulunduğu diğer bir istek kültürlerinin kökenini araştırmak olmuştur. Fakat özgün bir mimari karakter sergileyen ve dünya konut evriminde derin iz bırakmış geleneksel Türk evleri günümüzde istenilen düzeyde incelenmemiştir. Bu çalışmada, Türk dilli halkların kültürünün kökeni ve kronolojik değişimine bağlı olarak Türk evinin gelişimi kapsamlı şekilde ele alınmaktadır.
Geleneksel Türk evi kavramı belleğimizde; Osmanlı döneminden günümüze kalan konut örnekleri ile canlanır. Oysa Geleneksel Türk evini; 19. yüzyıla kadar Türk tarihinin bilinen 2500 yıllık evresinde, kronolojik bütün oluşturan, Türk dilli halkların yaşam tarzlarıyla özdeşleşip, kaçınılmaz olarak Türk kimliğine sahip evler olarak tanımalı ve tanımlamalıyız. Bu bakışla, Türk dilli halkların yapılaşma sürecini geçmişten günümüze değerlendirerek, sunulan bildiride ortaya koymaktayız.

Süheyla BALCI AKOVA 3 ÖZ İnsanlar birçok sebebe bağlı olarak yaşadıkları yerden başka yerlere göç etmektedir. Gerçekleşen bu göç hareketleri kırdan kentlere doğru olduğu gibi şehir merkezleri arasında da meydana gelmektedir. Kırsal göç ya da köyden kente göç hareketlerinin oluşmasında etkili olan ana faktör genellikle ekonomik kaynaklı sebeplerdir. Türkiye'de kırsal göç hareketleri 1950 ve 1960'lı yıllarla birlikte başlamış ve 1980'li yıllarda büyük bir artış yaşamıştır. 1950'li yıllardan itibaren sanayi faaliyetlerine daha fazla yatırım yapılmasıyla birlikte İstanbul, İzmir, Ankara, Bursa, Kocaeli, Sakarya gibi illerin şehir merkezlerinde önemli sanayi alanları oluşmaya başlamıştır. Sanayi faaliyetlerinde meydana gelen bu değişimlerle birlikte tarımsal faaliyetlerde de önemli bir takım değişimler meydana gelmiştir. Tarımda makineleşme hareketlerine paralel olarak traktörün tarıma girmesiyle kırsal bölgelerdeki insanlar için işsizlik sorunu başlamıştır. Oluşan bu işsizlik sonucunda kırsalda bulunan insanlar şehir merkezlerine göç ederek, fabrikalarda çalışmaya başlamıştır. Bu durum Türkiye kırsalının nüfus kaybetmesine sebep olmuştur. Ülkemizde olduğu gibi araştırmaya konu olan Adıyaman ilinin Sincik ilçesine bağlı Karaköse Köyü'nde de benzer bir süreç yaşanmıştır. Yapılan araştırmalarda Karaköse Köyü'nün nüfusu 1970 yılında 740 kişiye ulaştıktan sonra, köyden şehre doğru gerçekleşen göç hareketlerine bağlı olarak köyün nüfusunun hızlı bir şekilde azalmaya başlayarak 2022 yılında 189 kişiye gerilediği görülmüştür. Ancak Karaköse Köyü'nün köy nüfusuna kayıtlı olan bu nüfusun tamamının bu köyde yaşamadığı, %21'inin (40 kişi) İstanbul ve Malatya illerinde yaşadığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada Karaköse Köyü'nün, Cumhuriyet tarihi boyunca yaşadığı nüfus kaybı, kırsal göçün nedenleri, köyden göç edenlerin gittikleri bölgeler ve köyde meydana gelen diğer değişim süreçleri incelenmiştir.

This article is about an investigation exploring the vernacular environment of the villages adjacent to the rice fields of Mazandaran in order to identify the configuration and characteristic of its vernacular dwellings, and applied grammatical rules. In this regard, based on case study research, 4 villages and 44 houses within them have been investigated employing different methods including measurement, mapping, visual recording, one on one, and focus group interviews. Houses have been analysed based on the framework that shape grammars provided towards identification of compositional rules. Criteria and influential factors for creation of rules have been achieved through cultural and climatic studies that justify their appropriateness. This process has been successfully examined through plan creation of four different types of vernacular houses. Szabolcs és Szatmár vármegyei birtokok elkobzása a Wesselényi összeesküvés lelepleződése után A Wesselényi összeesküvéssel kapcsolatban több fontos közlemény, tanulmány ás kötet is született. Ezek általában a politikatörténeti aspektusokat vizsgálták feltárva az összeesküvésig vezető utat, és annak következményeit. Újabban több értékes tanulmányban is megtörtént a korábbi álláspontok újraértelmezése, sőt a kamarai elkobzások menetére is rávilágítottak. Még mindig kevés azonban az a gazdaságtörténeti munka, amely ténylegesen rögzíti az elkobzott birtokok nagyságát, rávilágít arra, hogyan kapcsolódik ez a korszak a 17. század végi birtokstruktúra változásáig, amely lényegében később a Neoaqvistica Comissió munkájában ölt testet. Jelen tanulmányunkban néhány Szabolcs és Szatmár vármegyében is birtokos, eredendően ott élő, sokszor kiterjedt családdal, és rokoni kapcsolatokkal rendelkező középbirtokos nemes birtokainak elkobzását vizsgáljuk, az első elkobzási hullám alatt. Jelen esetben Gyulaffy László, Toldy György, Csomaközy Zsigmond és Gábor, Uray Mihály, Kökényesdy György, Sulyok János birtokai esnek vizsgálatunk alá. Legtöbbjük régi magyar család leszármazottja, a magyar történelemben jelentős személyekkel, akik a helyi vármegyei igazgatásban, a rokoni, baráti kiterjedt kapcsolataikkal könnyen találtak utat az elégedetlenek közé.

In Italia, la tutela giuridica dei beni artistici e culturali nasce già dagli editti e decreti degli stati preunitari, ma le prime leggi organiche dell'Italia unità sono la legge n.1089 sulla "tutela delle cose d'interesse storico-artistico" e la legge n.1497 sulla "protezione delle bellezze naturali" entrambe del 1939. Nel 1948 la Costituzione della Repubblica in coerenza con la storia della tutela italiana, inserisce tra principi fondamentali all'art.9, "La Repubblica tutela il paesaggio e il patrimonio storico e artistico della Nazione". Negli anni la tutela giuridica è passata da un concetto "estetico-percettivo" (cose d'arte e bellezze naturali) alla concezione di "beni culturali" e "beni paesaggistici ed ambientali". Così è stato stabilito che "la tutela consiste nell'esercito delle funzioni e nella disciplina delle attività dirette, sulla base di un'adeguata attività conoscitiva, ad individuare i beni costituenti il patrimonio culturale ed a garantirne la protezione e la conservazione per fini di pubblica fruizione". Dal 1977, le regioni italiane hanno potuto legiferare in modo esclusivo e indiretto sull'architettura rurale, attraverso alcune normative riguardanti: il paesaggio, lo sviluppo agricolo, l'agriturismo e il turismo rurale o con norme in materia urbanistica edificabilità in zona agricola o pure attraverso misure e bandi di finanziamento europei del P.O.R. 1994-99. Ma solo nel 2003, con la legge n.378, "Disposizioni per la tutela e valorizzazione dell'architettura rurale" lo Stato ha legiferato su gli edifici o fabbricati rurali e gli insediamenti agricoli realizzati tra XIII ed il XIX sec., che costituiscono testimonianza dell'economia rurale tradizionale della nazione. Nel 2004, è stato emanato il "Codice dei Beni culturali e del paesaggio" (D.lgs 42/2004 s.m.i.) che nel suo articolato comprende tra: -i "beni culturali" all'art.10 comma 4, l) le architetture rurali aventi interesse storico o etnoantropologico quali testimonianze dell'economia rurale tradizionale; -i "beni ambientali" da tutelare nella pianificazione paesaggistica delle regioni all'art.135, comma 4, lettera d) valori paesaggistici riconosciuti e tutelati, con particolare attenzione alla salvaguardia dei paesaggi rurali e dei siti inseriti nella lista del patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO.

Geleneksel yaklaşımla inşa edilen camiler, geçmişin zengin mirasını yeniden canlandırma çabası olarak ortaya çıksa da estetik ve işlevsellik açısından çeşitli zorluklarla karşılaşmaktadır. Çoğu zaman bu yapılar, geçmişin mimari detaylarını birebir taklit etme amacı güderken, çağdaş toplumların dinamik ihtiyaçlarına ve kent dokusuna uyum sağlamakta yetersiz kalmaktadır. Bu çalışmada öncelikle geleneksel cami mimarisi incelenmiş, ardından Kuzey Ankara Niyaziye Camii üzerinden detaylı bir analiz yapılmıştır. 2013 yılında inşaatına başlanan ve 2014 yılında inşaatı tamamlanan Kuzey Ankara Niyaziye Camii plan, mimari, tasarım ve yapı özellikleri açısından geleneksel bir yaklaşımla tasarlanmıştır. Çalışmada caminin mekân kurgusu, genel mimari özellikleri, plan tipi, yapı elemanları, süsleme özellikleri ve yapıdaki geleneksel elemanlar ayrıntılı incelenmiştir. Bu makale, geleneksel cami mimarisinin günümüz koşullarında yeniden yorumlanmasının artılarını ve eksilerini incelerken, aynı zamanda sürdürülebilirlik, çevresel uyum ve modern toplumun estetik ihtiyaçlarıyla nasıl daha iyi bütünleşeceğini ele almayı amaçlamaktadır. Kare baldaken plan tipinin modern cami tasarımındaki sınırlamalarını ortaya koyarak, gelecekteki projelerde sosyal işlevselliğin artırılmasına yönelik öneriler sunmaktadır. Geleneksel tasarımın merkezi odaklı ve statik yapısının, günümüzün çok yönlü kullanım gereksinimlerini karşılamada yetersiz kaldığı vurgulanmaktadır. Daha esnek planlama yaklaşımlarının benimsenmesi gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Özellikle eğitim, sosyal etkinlikler ve toplumsal dayanışma gibi farklı işlevlere hizmet edebilen modüler ve çok amaçlı alanların oluşturulması önerilmektedir. Kapsayıcı ve erişilebilir tasarımlar ile teknoloji entegrasyonu, modern camilerin topluma daha iyi hizmet etmesini sağlayabilir. Bu yaklaşımlar, gelecekte camilerin toplumsal bağları güçlendiren merkezler olmasına önemli bir katkı sağlar. Hem estetik hem de işlevsel olarak anlamlı camiler yaratmak, aynı zamanda geleceği de inşa etmektir. The paper is intended to be a thought experiment, mainly to formulate some general problems and to offer some points of view on the multifaceted relationship between museums, heritage and communication. It addresses the question of the role of museum communication in the creation of tangible and intangible heritage in the museum environment and, secondly, how the presentation of the material heritage preserved and displayed in museums is linked to the issues of digitization and mediatization, and how online communication contributes to the presentation of the museum and the work that takes place in the museum, i.e., from a heritage perspective, it reflects on how museum and communication are linked at different levels of institutional practice (highlighting, preservation and presentation/interpretation) and how they stimulate participatory and collaborative museum practice and generate contemporary interpretations.

Architectural tectonics is a crucial starting point for comprehending
traditional houses in terms of their form and usage. The components of land use, material use and construction technique, and plan layout, which reveal "tectonic integrity," are the criteria that are considered. This study employs the typology method to question the tectonics of traditional housing architecture located in the central northern part of the Mediterranean Region, specifically through the example of Mut Houses in Mersin province.
The typology study has facilitated the identification and quantification of the diverse array of architectural solutions and details that are characteristic of the region. Mut is a medium-sized district situated in the mountainous parts of the Central Taurus Mountains, with a settlement history dating back to the Roman Period. The fact that microclimatic conditions impact the supply of materials and construction techniques, and the cultural context influences the use of land, garden, and space, ensures that traditional Mut houses possess a distinct appearance in this region. Regrettably, these houses, which contain important details of the region, are at risk of extinction. This article documents the tectonic values of traditional Mut houses and conducts a typological analysis of them.

The main purpose of this study is to present the logo design research of the Efeler Way Culture Route by employing scientific research methods and incorporating the perspectives of local residents to reflect the region’s unique identity and values. In the study, a qualitative research method was adopted to prepare logo designs specific to the villages by utilising the opinions of local people living in Efeler Way destination villages. Purposeful sampling
was used to select participants, and interviews served as the primary data collection tool. In this direction, 40 separate focus interviews were conducted in 28 different villages and data were collected from 360 people. Qualitative data obtained from focus group interviews were analysed using content analysis. The findings revealed a wide variety of themes highlighting the region’s diversity, including its historical and architectural identity, natural
environment, agricultural products and intangible cultural heritage. As a result of these findings, the logo design process began with the creation of the Efeler Way logo, followed by village-specific logos. These designs aim to establish a cohesive visual identity for the Efeler Way while celebrating the cultural and historical richness of the region.

The studies on the Barak culture in Gaziantep are mostly conducted on the “intangible heritage of
rural areas”. In addition, although there are studies on rural architectural heritage, they are few and not in detail
to reveal the "Gaziantep Barak architectural space". In this context, the Tüzel Neighborhood (Village) was
chosen among the Oğuzeli villages. Another reason for studying the Tüzel Neighborhood is that there are
houses in the masonry adobe construction system that continue to survive without collapsing. This study aims
to document and analyse the rural architecture and pattern characteristics of "Tüzel Village", where Barak rural
architecture can be seen. In addition, it aims to answer the following questions to contribute to documentation
studies of the "Barak rural architectural heritage”: How is the rural house architecture specialized in the
settlements where the Barak culture is kept alive? Can a "Barak house" be defined? The study was conducted
in four stages: on-site identification of rural settlement patterns, completion of inventory forms for 8 masonry
adobe construction systems houses, rural architectural analysis of Tüzel Village, and interviews on the
conservation problems of Tüzel Village and its rural architectural heritage. Ethics committee permission was
obtained for the study according to the decision of Kocaeli University Rectorate Science and Engineering
Sciences Ethics Committee dated 14/03/2024 and numbered E-20189260-100-566427.In the rural settlement
pattern analysis conducted in Tüzel Neighbourhood (Tüzel + Küçük Tüzel/Darıca Village), it was observed
that there are 26 masonry adobe construction system houses (24 Tüzel + 2 Küçük Tüzel/ Darıca). Among these,
single-story houses built using the Adobe construction system are the majority. Because of the findings
obtained, the "rural pattern and architectural characteristics of Gaziantep / Oğuzeli / Tüzel Village where Barak
rural architecture can be seen" were revealed. The questions asked at the beginning of the study were answered
by comparing the studies on the rural architectural heritage of Gaziantep and the houses built using the masonry
adobe construction system in Anatolian villages with the "Tüzel Village houses". In addition, suggestions been developed for the protection of the rural architectural heritage of Tüzel Village based on the identified
problems.

Vernaküler mimarlık, genellikle yerel ve kırsal bağlamlarda bulunan köy, mahalle, ilçe gibi farklı yerleşim ölçeklerinde, geleneksel yapım yöntemleriyle inşa edilen konut yapılarıyla birlikte, ambar ve sundurma gibi barınma dışı yapılara da referans verir. Bu anlamda, geleneksel toplumların kültür ve yaşayışlarını mekânsal ve çevresel olarak ifade eder. Bu tür çevrelerin bileşeni olan, gündelik yaşamda sıklıkla kullanılan ve benzer geleneksel yöntemlerle inşa edilen hayvanlara ait yapılar da vernaküler mimarlığın bir parçasıdır. İçinde barındırdıkları arı kovanlarını yabani hayvanlar ve hırsızlardan korumak amacıyla, bulundukları bağlamın yerel özelliklerine ve malzeme olanaklarına göre inşa edilen arı evleri, bu tür yapılardan olup kırsal mimarlık örneklerindendir. Daha çok Akdeniz Havzası ve Toroslar’da örneklerine rastlanan, taş ve ahşap gibi yerel malzemelerle inşa edilen bu yapılar, gövde, üst örtü biçimi ve tasarımı açısından farklılık gösterir. Arı evlerinin tipolojik çeşitliliği, bu yapıları kavramsal açıdan anlamaya, yorumlamaya ve anlamlandırmaya olanak tanır. Kullanımı giderek azalan ve yerini modern tekniklere ve malzemelere bırakan geleneksel yaklaşımla inşa edilen arı evlerinin belgelenmesi ve tartışılması, kırsal yapılı çevrenin ve yapı yapma tekniklerinin korunması ve anlaşılması açısından önemlidir. Antalya’nın Kumluca ilçesindeki Dereköy Mahallesi’nde tespit edilen bir grup arı evi bu anlamda incelenmiş ve kırsal yapı örnekleri olarak belgelenmiştir. Akdeniz Havzası’nda yazarlar tarafından daha önce tespit edilen arı evlerinden farklı bir tipoloji sunan Dereköy’deki altı adet arı evi, “Ahşap Gövdeli Moloz Taş Dolgulu Arı Evi” olarak sınıflandırılmıştır. Bu örneklem grubu, bağlam, malzeme, malzemenin bir araya geliş kurgusu, yapım yöntemi ve işlev gibi temalar çerçevesinde irdelenmiştir. Tipolojik olarak belgelenen arı evlerinin, bağlamlarına uyumlanma ve bağlamdan anlam kazanma biçimleri ile yapısal nitelikleri tektonik/atektonik, strüktür ve konstrüksiyon kavramları üzerinden yorumlanmıştır. Çalışma hem tespit edilmiş arı evlerinin belgelemesini kavramsal bir çerçeve içinde yapmayı, hem de Antalya’nın kırsal havzasında tespit edilen arı evleri hakkında daha önce yapılan çalışmalarda ortaya konan tipoloji, literatür ve tartışmaları geliştirmeyi amaçlamıştır.

Along with archaeological excavation works carried in Aizanoi Ancient City located in Çavdarhisar, Kütahya between 2011-2020, Turkish-Islamic period researches were also carried between 2012-2015. This research was carried in four neighborhoods that constitute the old city center in two stages, as field work and office studies. Examples encountered during field works were recorded, plan schemes and sketches were made and photographed. Raw data obtained from the field were processed during office studies, categorized and archived after given an inventory number. Completing the study, three mosques, twenty-five houses, twenty-five granaries and ten owens were recorded in total. It can be seen that houses constitutes a significant number in this cultural heritage. The recorded houses have one ground floor and one story above, made of rubble stone masonry and occasionally half-timbered. Inner and outer hall planned houses appear simple on the outside yet have elements inside like closets, wardrobes and ceilings which show a quality woodworking. In this study, Çavdarhisar houses that are intertwined with the ancient settlement and even have an important role in formation of neighborhoods were evaluated. This study consists of the evaluation of plan schemes, façades and ornaments; and focuses on the characteristics of houses in Çavdarhisar. While different variations of this plan type are not seen in the houses with inner sofas, five different applications are encountered in the plan type with outer sofas. The forward projection of the facades of the houses facing the street in the form of storeys is seen in almost all of the Çavdarhisar houses. It has been determined that the fine woodwork ornaments on the load-bags and ceilings in the rooms of the houses, which have a very plain appearance from the outside, are original examples. Documentation of cultural heritage before its disappearance and contribution to Turkish civil architecture in terms of rural architecture shows the study’s original worth.

Kütahya’nın Çavdarhisar ilçe sınırları içinde yer alan Aizanoi Antik Kenti’nde 2011-2020 yılları arasında yürütülen arkeolojik kazı çalışmalarının yanı sıra 2012-2015 yılları arasında Türk İslam Dönemi araştırmaları da yapılmıştır. Bu araştırma kapsamında eski ilçe merkezini oluşturan dört mahallede, saha ve ofis olmak üzere iki aşamalı olarak ilerleyen faaliyetler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bunlardan saha faaliyetleri sırasında karşılaşılan örneklerin yerinde tespiti yapılmış, plan-kroki örnekleri alınmış ve fotoğrafları çekilmiştir. Sahadan elde edilen ham veriler, ofis çalışmaları sırasında işlenerek kendi içinde gruplara ayrılmış ve envanter numarası verilerek arşivlenmiştir. Çalışmaların tamamlanmasının ardından toplam üç cami, yirmi beş ev, yirmi beş tahıl ambarı ve on fırının tespiti yapılmıştır. Belirlenen kültür varlıklarının sayısal dağılımına bakıldığında önemli bir bölümünü evlerin oluşturduğu görülür. Moloz taş malzemeli yığma duvarlar ile yer yer hımış duvarlar kullanılarak inşa edilen evler, zemin ve birinci kattan meydana gelmektedir. İç ve dış sofalı plan tipindeki evlerin dışarıdan sade görünümlerine karşın içeride oldukça kaliteli ahşap işçiliğe sahip yüklük, dolap, tavan gibi mekân ögeleri bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada mahallelerin meydana gelmesinde önemli bir rolü olan ve antik kent ile iç içe geçmiş yerleşimin dokusunu oluşturan Çavdarhisar evleri ele alınmıştır. Kırsal mimari mirasın önemli örneklerinden olan Çavdarhisar evlerinin plan, cephe ve süsleme açısından değerlendirmeleri yapılarak karakteristik özellikleri üzerinde durulmuştur. İncelenen yirmi beş evin on üçü dış sofalı, on ikisi iç sofalı (karnıyarık) plan tipinde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. İç sofalı plan tipindeki evlerde bu plan tipinin farklı varyasyonları görülmezken dış sofalı plan tipinde beş farklı uygulamayla karşılaşılmaktadır. Evlerin sokağa bakan cephelerinin kat çıkması şeklinde ileriye doğru taşırılması Çavdarhisar evlerinin neredeyse tamamında görülmektedir. Dıştan oldukça yalın görünüme sahip evlerin odalarındaki yüklük ve tavanlarında yer alan ince ahşap işçilikli süslemelerin özgün örnekler olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kültürel mirasın yok olmadan önce belgelenmesi ve Türk sivil mimari literatürüne kırsal mimari bağlamında katkı sağlaması, çalışmanın özgün değerini ortaya koymaktadır.

The human population and urbanization are increasing day by day in the world. According to the United Nations reports, this situation will continue to uprise. The grow in population and urbanization causes the increase of multi-storey buildings, which constitute the physical infrastructure of urban areas. Most of these structures are built with materials such as cement and steel, which are exposed or processed by intensive fossil-energy-based industrial processes. Overproduction and use of these currently preferred materials have an important role in the depletion of limited material resources and the poisoning of the atmosphere, water and soils.
