Dan Suratt
Chief Executive OfficerDan joined America’s Test Kitchen as CEO in February, 2023 and oversees all aspects of the company’s business and strategic direction.
Prior to America’s Test Kitchen, Dan served as the Vice President of This Old House and Roku Studios. As CEO of This Old House Ventures, he led the sales process to Roku in March, 2021, and then earned oversight of Roku Studios (Roku’s ad supported in-house lifestyle content studio).
Previously, Dan served as President, Corporate Development, Strategy and Investments, A+E Networks. Appointed to the newly created role, Dan oversaw the creation of the department responsible for A+E’s investments which resulted in a portfolio of 14 investments, including the National Women’s Soccer League, Atlas Obscura, Panna and Philo.
Dan, a six-time Emmy Award winner, previously held the title of Executive Vice President, Digital Media and Brand & Content Licensing, A+E Networks, and served as the Lifetime Networks’ EVP, Digital Media & Business Development, until its acquisition by A+E Networks. Dan spent 11 years with NBC Olympics in a variety of production and management positions, and he began his career at the National Basketball Association in the broadcasting department.
Dan graduated from Middlebury College with a BA and received his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He currently lives in Brooklyn Heights with his wife and two sons.
Evan Silverman
Chief Operating OfficerEvan joined America’s Test Kitchen in February, 2023 and as COO, helps manage the strategic direction of the company, and oversees the digital product, technology, design and content teams, as well as select business operations teams.
With more than two decades of media experience, Evan joined America’s Test Kitchen after serving as Senior Director, Business Operations for Roku Studios and This Old House, which Roku acquired in March, 2021. At This Old House, Evan was part of the team that managed the reinvention of the brand and delivered 3X EBITDA growth in two years with a focus on streaming, distribution and digital platforms.
Prior to that, Silverman served as Executive Vice President, Digital Media, A+E Networks, leading the digital product, technology and design teams. Silverman also served on the board of NWSL Media, the JV between A+E Networks and the National Women’s Soccer League, and managed the operations for the venture. He previously served as Executive Producer of NBCOlympics.com for the 2006 Torino Games and the 2004 Athens Games, as Director, Internet Services, at NBA.com, and worked in Media Relations for the National Basketball Association and the Utah Jazz.
A graduate of Bates College, he currently lives with his wife and two daughters in Brooklyn.
Dan Souza
Chief Content OfficerDan joined America’s Test Kitchen in 2008 and has held editorial leadership roles for the past decade, most recently as editor in chief of Cook’s Illustrated.
Dan is science expert and a recipe presenter on our television show America’s Test Kitchen, creator and host of our James Beard Award-nominated web series What’s Eating Dan?, and head judge on America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation. He leads the creative teams working on television, video, magazines, books, web, and more.
Dan is the kitchen editor of the New York Times best seller The Science of Good Cooking (2012). He is a regular contributor to The Splendid Table radio program, and his personal stories have been featured on The Moth Radio Hour. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Dan cooked in restaurants in Boston, New York, and Hungary before finding his true calling: helping home cooks succeed in the kitchen.
Lee Boykoff
Chief Marketing and Data OfficerLee joined America’s Test Kitchen in February, 2023 as Chief Marketing and Data Officer, and oversees the marketing and data strategy for the company.
Lee joined America’s Test Kitchen after serving as Director, Growth Marketing, for Roku where he led Lifecycle Marketing, Marketing Technology (CRM) and Media Strategy for the Roku Platform (70 million active accounts).
Prior to that, Lee served as Chief Marketing Officer of This Old House, which Roku acquired in March 2021, where he oversaw audience development, subscriber acquisition & retention, revenue operations, analytics & research. At This Old House, Lee was part of the team that managed the reinvention of the brand and delivered 3X EBITDA growth in two years with a focus on streaming, distribution and digital platforms.
Previously, Boykoff served as Senior Vice President, Performance Marketing and Data Strategy, for A+E Networks. During his 13-year tenure at A+E, he led CRM, digital strategy, analytics, and growth marketing functions for the company’s portfolio of brands and platforms (cable television, SVOD streaming, AVOD streaming, web).
Boykoff started his career in the music industry, promoting concerts & festivals throughout the Northeast. He graduated from Bowdoin College with a B.A. in Economics and received his MBA in Marketing from UNC’s Kenan Flagler School of Business.
Jack Bishop
Senior Content AdvisorJack was part of the original team that started America’s Test Kitchen, beginning with the launch of Cook’s Illustrated in 1993. He directed the launch of Cook’s Country magazine in 2005 and the building of the company’s book publishing division.
Jack is the tasting lab expert on our television shows, and he leads the creative teams working on the company’s TV shows, magazines, books, websites, and online cooking school.
Jack is the author of several cookbooks, including Vegetables Every Day and The Complete Italian Vegetarian Cookbook. Jack’s wife, Lauren Chattman, is a cookbook author and former pastry chef. They have two extraordinarily well-fed daughters.
Colleen Zelina
Chief People OfficerColleen joined America’s Test Kitchen in November 2015. Prior to joining the company she served as SVP of HR for ALM. Colleen has spent the majority of her career in senior HR leadership positions in the media industry, holding positions at Summit Professional Networks, Penton Media, and Miller Freeman.
Colleen is responsible for overseeing all of the traditional aspects of HR including benefits, recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and employee development, but her strongest focus is enhancing the very unique culture of America’s Test Kitchen and making it “The place to work.”
As a member of the executive committee she supports the strategies, ideas, and vision of the organization in alignment with the overall mission and business imperatives of America’s Test Kitchen.
Colleen graduated from Seton Hall University with a bachelor of arts in psychology. She’s a New York sports fan, an on and off Steelers fan, a dog lover, and a long-time Howard Stern listener. One of eight children, Colleen is extremely competitive and will never turn down a fierce ping-pong or tennis match.
Patrick Kelly
Chief Financial OfficerPatrick joined America’s Test Kitchen as CFO in 2023. Prior to that, Patrick served as CFO or finance lead at leading media and technology companies for the past 20 years. He was part of six acquisitions and helped raise more than $250m of debt and equity capital.
He has an MBA from Columbia University in New York and originally hails from Ireland. Patrick is married and lives with his wife Susann and his children, Michael and Ciara in Orange County, NY.
Nina Gianelli
SVP of TV, Video, PodcastNina joined America’s Test Kitchen in August 2024 as the Senior Vice President of TV, Video, and Podcast, where she oversees content strategy, creation, and execution across the company’s media platforms.
With over 21+ years of experience in entertainment, Nina has worked across primetime TV, cable, streaming services, social media, and branded content. She is known for her versatility, having led the production of more than 40+ unscripted series, including Deal or No Deal, Hollywood Medium, Ghost Hunters, and Dr. Phil. Her extensive background in developing and producing content spans numerous networks, including NBC, CW, FOX, VH1, MTV, TLC, E!, A&E, OWN, Travel Channel, Discovery+, Peacock, and MAX. Additionally, she has spearheaded high-profile brand initiatives and content campaigns for notable clients such as Adidas, Delta, State Farm, and Toyota, and successfully led the production of nearly 200 episodes for the Calm App’s inaugural video series. Nina has also directed and produced content featuring over 50+ celebrities, including Demi Lovato, Howie Mandel, Jenny McCarthy, and Taye Diggs.
Nina holds a BA in Visual Media Arts with a concentration in TV/Video Production from Emerson College. A passionate home cook, she is thrilled to be part of America’s Test Kitchen and excited to expand her recipe collection.
