Advice please I have baby chicks

Thank you everyone for your replies. I have just had number 4.
Today I made a bigger box for the 3 chicks with no heat and just food and water. They really loved it. Thanks for suggesting it. So the 4th one was in with the light and about 15 minutes ago hatched. Think there are 3 more to go.
I have put them back into the heat now it’s night and cooling off, also to keep the newest one warm and drying out.
The hen that’s clucky wasn’t a fit for the babies. As soon as I went to put them in she jumped out. She would be only about a week in. Happy to sit on eggs but she’s in and out.
Think these ones will just have to hang together as a bunch. For me it’s a win win.
Thank you again. Any more help
And advise will be greatly appreciated

if it’s ok to still ask ???? This morning the mumma hen with 3 week old babies had a fight through the fence with another hen. I didn’t see what happened but the rooster stopped them by jumping on the hen on his side then I shooed her away. When the fight happened I had the 4 new babies (5 days old and younger in a pen outside.) the older chicks ran in with them. Then mumma realised her babies were missing so I showed her where they were. She went in with them all. So now I’m wondering if I leave them all together? No nasty business from mumma toward the younger ones. The older chicks have put them in their place so I think that’s sorted. Am I wrong? They have been in together for about 3 hours now and I haven’t seen a problem. They don’t follow her like the older ones do ? Will that come? Do I just leave them now??? Don’t interfere?? I’m worried about tonight if they don’t get under her it’s too cold for them?

All good questions and no concrete answers!

All I can say is see if it works out. You just never know if a broody with existing chicks will take the others in. She may be very accommodating, or she may decide they are intruders.

If they make it for the day and all night until morning and follow her about, chances are good she's taking them in stride.

I suppose time will tell. I do hope it works out really well.

Didn’t work. She told them off when she started to settle her babies so I took them out. If she is happy for them to be in with her and the babies during the day then I will continue to put them in there. I put them back out with her early this morning. I love watching them play. I guess all I can do is keep trying. At least I know they are safe and they can watch her and the older ones are familiar with them as they grow.
If there’s any suggestions please let me know. Kind regards
