So You’re Obviously Wondering Who the Heck Is Starring in ‘Knives Out 2’

Why, yes, Mr. Craig is returning to the Knives Out set to play the super-in-demand celebrity detective Benoit Blanc! Obviously, someone who’s talented enough to play Benoit is in a bunch of other high-profile Hollywood projects too. Peep his work as James Bond in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and the soon-to-be-released No Time to Die.

Kate Hudson is sooo much more than just Goldie Hawn’s daughter, mmkay? She’s made quite the name for herself in the biz and been in some of the most iconic movies of the 2000s, including but not limited to: Almost Famous, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Fool’s Gold, Bride Wars, and too many more to count.

Adam Burr—er, I mean…Leslie Odom Jr. is a man who really needs no introduction. He stole everyone’s hearts in Hamilton but has done a ton of work off Broadway! He’s starred in Harriet and most recently in One Night in Miami… as Sam Cooke, which earned him two Oscar noms this year. He’s also got some experience in television, with his lead role in Smash and smaller parts in Gilmore Girls, The Good Wife, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and more.

If you or someone you know is a total indie film nerd, chances are you know Edward Norton to be one of Wes Anderson’s favorite people to cast in his movies—he’s had notable roles in Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Isle of Dogs, and The French Dispatch (set to release this year). Not an Anderson fan? Chances are you saw Edward in Fight Club alongside Brad Pitt or in Birdman, which scored him an Oscar nom for Best Supporting Actor in 2015.

Well, certainly you know Janelle Monáe, amirite or amirite? Homegirl has been EV-ER-Y-WHERE since she does modeling, music, and movies (love a good triple threat). Janelle didn’t get into acting onscreen until 2016 but has managed to secure some pretty impressive roles in Moonlight, Hidden Figures, and Harriet.

I know Crossing Jordan stopped being a show back in 2007, but Kathryn Hahn simply killed it as Lily Lebowski. And then Kathryn did the damn thing again when she starred as Agatha Harkness in WandaVision, which led to her becoming the winking meme queen of 2021. Truly cannot wait to see what she brings to the table in Knives Out 2.

Obsessed with movies from the ’90s? Saaaaame, so then you probably know that Ethan made his breakthrough after starring in Dead Poets Society alongside Robin Williams (RIP). Since then, Ethan’s starred in just about everything! From Training Day to The Purge, this dude has definitely proven he has the chops to take on this whodunit.

Why, yes, Game of Thrones’ very own Nymeria Sand will be joining the cast. Aren’t we lucky to have her? You might recognize Jessica from her appearances in Love and Monsters and On the Rocks, but keep your eyes peeled because she’s set to star in The Matrix 4!

Of course you know Jada from doing Red Table Talk, but did you know she’s made hella bank over the years from starring in movies over the past few decades? She completely captured my heart as Niobe in the Matrix film series but completely masters funny roles too, like in The Nutty Professor and Girls Trip. Simply put: Homegirl has the MF range.

As much as you might want to think that Madelyn Cline actually is her Outer Banks character, Sarah Cameron, don’t, mmkay? Outside of your favorite Netflix guilty pleasure, she’s had roles in Stranger Things and The Originals too. Madelyn also dabbled in movies and makes appearances in Boy Erased and What Breaks the Ice, so don’t sleep on this girl!

If it seems truly “WTF?” for a former WWE wrestler to be in the cast, don’t worry—Dave’s got the acting chops to back it up. He most notably starred in Guardians of the Galaxy volumes 1 and 2 as Drax the Destroyer (fitting considering how buff he is!) and also made appearances in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
