About this audiobook
A New York Times, USA Today, and Indie bestseller!
Critically acclaimed and bestselling authors Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera combine their talents in this smart, funny, heartfelt collaboration about two very different boys who can’t decide if the universe is pushing them together—or pulling them apart.
ARTHUR is only in New York for the summer, but if Broadway has taught him anything, it’s that the universe can deliver a showstopping romance when you least expect it.
BEN thinks the universe needs to mind its business. If the universe had his back, he wouldn’t be on his way to the post office carrying a box of his ex-boyfriend’s things.
But when Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them . . . ?
Maybe nothing. After all, they get separated.
Maybe everything. After all, they get reunited.
But what if they can’t nail a first date even after three do-overs?
What if Arthur tries too hard to make it work and Ben doesn’t try hard enough?
What if life really isn’t like a Broadway play?
But what if it is?
What if it’s us?
Plus don't miss Here's to Us! Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera reunite to continue the story of Arthur and Ben, the boys readers first fell for in What If It’s Us.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a mixed bag. Some reviewers felt let down by the hype and found it to be more like a teen fanfiction than a coming of age novel. However, others found it cute, light, and fun to read. The audiobook cast was praised, and the story was described as sweet, heartbreaking, and engaging. The book explores themes of friendship, love, and first relationships. While some reviewers found the plot twists predictable and didn't like the reliance on 'the universe,' they appreciated the realistic atmosphere and imperfect characters. Overall, it's a bittersweet and realistic love story that captures the ups and downs of teenage love.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5For all the hype it had I was really let down. I was honestly expecting more, it just felt like a teens fanfiction apposed to a coming of age novel. I wouldn't really recommend it, but it wasn't the worst thing I've read.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I gave up twice. It was not working on me. I just finished Red, White and Royal Blue and wanted another book like that. This one was not it. Unlikable characters, not funny nor romantic, way too much teen angst and “oh the cruel world, poor me hopeless romantic”. I just couldn’t get past the first half of the book. Maybe it got better but I am not wasting my time if it doesn’t.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Not so great but not bad either. I still finished it tho
Kinda hoping for a sequel.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Super loved this audiobook! Noah Galvin and Froy Gutierrez are perfect for the voice of Arthur and Ben ♥️

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I liked the humor and the writing style. A lot of the plottwists where kind of obvious. In my opinion they believed way too much in "the universe" - which I could have seen coming. It just anoyed me that they often just waited for "the universe" to do something instead of acting themselves. Or when smth bad hapoened they sonetimes were like: "oh, thats the universes fault its an asshole, I cant do anything against it" But I liked the atmosphere in the book and the characters felt really real. And I liked that itwas realistic, not everything was perfect just as in real life.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Very cute and charming story about first relationships, evolving relationships, and the future of two boys.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I enjoyed this. It was a fun read and the writing was witty.
