it was amazing

Liane Moriarty has done it again – written a book that kept me up way too late because I couldn’t put it down. She has a knack for creating characters who are so believable they could easily be someone you know. Big Little Lies is a story of parents acting badly. It is also a smart and witty story about the real lives of children, teens, friends, husbands, wives, second wives, and exes. You are teased from the beginning with something awful that happens at the annual Pirriwee Public School fund raising. You know the what but not the who or the how. Along the way you discover some of the dangerous little lies that people tell just to be able to face the day. I couldn’t wait to get to the end to find out what happened that night but at the same time I was sorry that I wouldn’t be reading any more about the inhabitants of Perriwee.

Janet Johnson Looking forward to this. I really enjoyed The Husband's Secret and What Alice Forgot.

Lisa Greenwood I feel the same way.....I read The Husband"s secret and What Alice Forgot, and LOVED them both!

Renata Loved your review - I shared many of your reactions. She may become my favorite contemporary author of one of my least favorite genres - realistic fiction!

Heather I loved this one and Husband's Secret but couldn't finish What Alice Forgot...it wasn't moving along fast enough for me!

Judy Great review! You expressed my feelings about the book exactly.

Tia Gordon The characters definitely portray real life characters and things aren't over exaggerated to where they become unbelievable. Finding out the who and how of the story kept it hard to close the book because so many lies were told that the options were endless. The twist that makes this book unique is it is the parents doing the wrong, not making it the typical society in every other story. It contains many different characters such as second wives and exes that brings drama to the story and keeps the lies going even further.

Sarah It was a good book that I had trouble putting down and page by page became a book I would not put down at all. I was enthralled by these characters. I so easily pictured each one acting out the scenes. It felt so real and lively but the scene was just words on a page!

Maria Stringer Great review, I kept thinking I knew who the victim was but it kept changing!

shirley haha me too! i just finished it last night. took me 3 days to read the first half of the book, but the entire night to complete the other half! i was too curious to put it downn

Carol I just loved the book...just about everything in it rang so true about each and every character. And I totally loved the little hints at the end of each chapter from the interviews. I hated to have it end...and it ended perfectly
