Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper looked like the picture of the modern American Dream as they stepped out in New York City on Monday.

The two were all smiles in coordinating red, white, and blue outfits as they enjoyed the unseasonably nice weather. Hadid was the ultimate girl next door—if that girl next door were stylish, rich, famous, and drop-dead gorgeous—in a vintage graphic tee that she rolled up at the sleeves and tucked into the perfect pair of classic straight-leg blue jeans from Cotton Citizen.

She held her jeans up with a brown belt and tied a strawberry-red cashmere sweater, likely from her own Guest in Residence, over her chest—like all the girls are doing. To match, she accessorized with a white-and-red baseball cap from TAG Heuer’s Formula 1 collaboration with Kith, plus golden retro shades, layered golden chain necklaces, and a cream leather clutch from Loro Piana.

She finished the all-American look with what has turned into an aggressively American shoe: the Birkenstock slide. Though originally from Germany, the comfy shoe has become a go-to for everyone, from errand runners to campers to city girls across the United States— and has even managed to find a place in the high-fashion world.

Cooper was the boy (or man) next door to Hadid’s girl next door in an outfit also composed of red, white, and blue staples. The actor wore a bright-red T-shirt paired with some blueish-gray pants, as well as sneakers in a similar icy slate-gray hue. He carried a white sweater and shaded his eyes with dark aviator sunglasses.
