The minimap of Dandelion Depths

Dandelion Depths is the second course of the Leaf Cup in Mario Kart World. The course takes place in what appears to be an abandoned construction site, set in a grassland region of the game's map located north of Cheep Cheep Falls. The course has one section taking place on bridges high in the air, and another taking place in a cave with large dandelions. Drifting dandelion particles are seen throughout the course, though more so in the cave. The exterior and the interior of the course's caverns bear resemblance to Steam Gardens from Super Mario Odyssey and Mushroom Gorge from Mario Kart Wii respectively.[1] Pianta and Swoop can be unlocked here with the Kamek item. It is the only course in the game where racers can unlock Swoop.

Dandelion Depths appears as the second checkpoint of the Ice Rally and the third checkpoint of the Moon Rally; both instances precede Cheep Cheep Falls.

Course layout

The course begins with a sequence of bridges at the top of the course. This starts with a right turn, then a particularly narrow straight bridge. There is a long downward-sloped counterclockwise loop, turning almost 360°. This loop also has a significant banked portion. After the loop, the road enters a tunnel, which curves slightly to the left, then turns to the right. There is then a section with two paths, which both curve 180°, and lead into a large cave where racers drive on several pools of water that descend like a staircase. At the end of the cave is a steep upwards slope covered with Dash Panels, leading back to the top of the course. There is one final U-turn to the left before the finish line.[1]
