Room 8-8 (titled Room 7-8 in the British English version) is the eighth course of Jungle Hijinks in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis.

The course features five Mini Marios.

Overview[edit]

One Mini Mario begins near the bottom left, near a Yellow Spring and a vine and above some water. To the right of the vine is a Snapjaw which eats the vine after a few seconds, followed by another vine above the Mini Mario and near a Pink Block gap; the Snapjaw ends up between two walls of Pink Blocks above the second vine. To the right of the second vine is a Conveyor Belt, and to its right is a square of Pink Block gaps above some water and with the right side filled in. The second Mini Mario begins in the bottom right corner, with another vine and Yellow Spring nearby. If the Mini jumps on the Yellow Spring, it can reach another longer vine and an elevator. To the left of the longer vine are a Pink Block gap and a Snapjaw, with the third Mini Mario starting above the Snapjaw. Another square of Pink Block gaps and a vine are to the left of the Snapjaw; the top of the square is filled in, with a Blue Spring on top of the blocks. In the top right corner are the final two Mini Marios, with a Snapjaw and a Pink Block gap to their left. The exit is to the left of the Snapjaw that ate the vines, behind a Pink Block wall; to reach it, the player should place and remove Pink Blocks to lure the Snapjaws into the vines. They can then guide the Minis onto the springs and elevator so they arrive at the exit without touching the Snapjaws.

Mini Mario Card[edit]

The Mini Mario Card is on the left side of the level, between the exit and a Pink Block gap. It can be collected by pressing a Conveyor Belt switch to reverse the direction of the Conveyor Belt, then guiding a Mini Mario onto the conveyor. The player should place some Pink Blocks beneath the Mini Mario Card so the Mini does not fall.
