Piece By Piece (2024) This is a unique, visually engaging way to do a documentary. I enjoyed seeing Pharrell doing something outside of the box but it felt a bit like empty calories but in a way, that's fine. It was entertaining. - Medium Popcorn

Alien: Romulus (2024) If you're a fan of this franchise, this doesn't disappoint. It's one of the few horror films I've seen in recent memory that actually had good jump scares. - Medium Popcorn

Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) This was so fun and I think that's because you could tell everyone involved seemed to have a really good time making this. Between the soundtrack, performances, humor, and surprises, it's hard to find something not to love! - Medium Popcorn

Inside Out 2 (2024) It doesn't have the same emotional gut punch from the original, but I really enjoyed how they illustrated the different emotions and told a different story that was worthy of continuing with these characters. - Medium Popcorn

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024) Some of the best visual effects I've ever seen. This was a great continuation to Caesar's story from the previous trilogy. - Medium Popcorn

Challengers (2024) The three leads had fantastic chemistry and all of the creative departments (design, cinematography, music) brought their A-game. I can't find anything to dislike about this film. - Medium Popcorn

Batman: Under the Red Hood (2010) I wish we could have had more flashbacks with Jason Todd to really emphasize that this is a darker take on Robin. However, I really enjoyed the darkness of this film and the voice acting. - Medium Popcorn

The Little Mermaid (2023) Halle Bailey does a great job taking on the challenging role of Ariel. Some of the visuals, particularly the underwater scenes with floating hair, left a bit to be desired and Melissa McCarthy could've been a bit more soulful as Ursula but it was fine. - Medium Popcorn

Scream VI (2023) The New Yorker in me just couldn't get over some of the logistical details of the characters and their surroundings. However this was very entertaining and a nice update on a series that has had long legs. - Medium Popcorn

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio (2022) While I thoroughly enjoyed the animation, I did think the movie was 10-15 minutes too long. The story was trying to do a bunch of things at once, which made it feel bloated at times. - Medium Popcorn

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) This is the first Marvel that dealt with death and change in the most realistic way. "Wakanda Forever" takes this genre to another level because of the performances, world building and emotional gravity of the story. - Medium Popcorn

Save the Last Dance (2001) This is a reflection of the early 2000s. If this was released now it would have been a mess but it does what it's supposed to, which is to give us fun dance scenes and slightly over-the-top performances. It's a decent film. - Medium Popcorn
