Critics Consensus

A frightening tale of Satanism and pregnancy that is even more disturbing than it sounds thanks to convincing and committed performances by Mia Farrow and Ruth Gordon.

marie m Still scary after all these years. Mia Farrow's acting was superb!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/03/22 Full Review Lauren T I could seeing it being way better back when it first came out, but not as good now. The movie kept my attention, but did not scare me. The plot was fine, the ending was horrible. I think it’s one of those movies you watch once just because everyone loved it when i it came out. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/17/24 Full Review helder f This movie is a headache. In great part, the plot is fine but everything about Rosemary is detestable. I suppose that the femininity’s concept that she conveys might have been more believable at some point in history, but it’s hardly believable that anyone can be that clueless and fragile in the current world. A grown up speaking in a child like manner for over two hours is… challenging. All the other characters are really secondary, as everything in the movie is centered around her. I can hardly remember if there’s any scene without her. She takes over the entire story and nothing really survives besides her odd child like mannerisms and voice. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/13/24 Full Review Jonathan M Maybe just way past it's time now, but I found it to be an awful film, if you want to watch something that will annoy you great, but if it's horror you want, look elsewhere Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/10/24 Full Review Audience Member OSCAR-worthy film, Masterpiece Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/02/24 Full Review Max B The OG that started it all with demonic and devil worshipping and witchcraft in big cinema! Rosemary’s Baby is still my 2nd favorite horror film ever made! Timeless, beyond tragic and beautifully made! Scary and heartbreaking. Mia Farrow and Ruth Gordon are the stars that made this film so captivating and the other rest of the cast were amazing! Still to this day it never ages bad, it ages so gracefully and beautifully of how incredible it is ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/02/24 Full Review Read all reviews
