My Passions

Writing

Writing is my means of self-expression and often the way I remember the important things. In the summer of 2023, I backpacked through Europe and kept a journal. When I returned to the states I started publishing my stories and adventures on my travel blog!

While in school, my Interdisciplinary Studies minor allowed me to explore creative writing and tap into my imagination. One of the classes I took allowed me to connect my love for writing and further explore my digital capabilities. I coded a writing portfolio that demonstrates my aesthetics and passions; however, it is still in the works of publication. Music

Writing has made me realize that music is just poetry with beats and another means for connectivity. While I have always had a passion for discovering new music and attending live shows, I only recently fell in love with finding my own sound.

In my free time, I enjoy learning my favorite artists’ songs on the guitar and sharing that experience with my friends. Time can only tell if I will ever produce my own music, but I will never back down from a friendly jam session.

Environmental
Conservation

Growing up on the beach and completing my bachelor's degree in San Diego, environmental conservation, particularly focused on the oceans, has always been a significant part of my identity. Additionally, I spent six of my teenage summers at a camp in Yosemite. Once I became ineligible to attend as a camper, I continued to share my love for nature by camping and hiking with my grandmother, who resides along the coast of Big Sur.

In my senior year at SDSU, I created an installation art piece as my final project with the aim of raising awareness about climate change and environmental issues. Along the stunning Sunset Cliffs, a popular scenic spot in an affluent area, I designed a sign that mimicked the warnings previously posted, cautioning people against standing too close to the unstable cliffs. Many individuals remain unaware that these cliffs have become increasingly unstable due to global warming and rising sea levels. By recreating the warning sign, I hoped to draw attention to this pressing issue.

To further educate those interested in environmental conservation, I incorporated a QR code that directed people to the La Jolla Aquarium. This allowed experts to share environmentally friendly practices aimed at preserving not only San Diego's cliffs but also the many other natural wonders in the region.

Art

My love for art is a deeply personal journey, a subjective exploration of creativity and expression that I hold dear to my heart. I find immense joy in the creation of collages and zines, where I can blend different elements and narratives to craft visual stories that resonate with my emotions and experiences. It's a form of artistic alchemy, where fragments of imagery and ideas come together to create something entirely new and uniquely mine.

My love for particular artworks has even led me on journeys as far as Madrid, where I specifically traveled to witness Picasso's awe-inspiring masterpiece, "Guernica", pictured here.

I am an artist myself; to see some of my work follow the link below to my portfolio.

Fashion

In my world of fashion, I've discovered an artful way to express myself, weaving outfits that reflect my unique creativity and personality. Sustainability is at the core of my style journey, as I cherish the thrill of second-hand shopping, breathing new life into vintage treasures. I've chosen to step away from the fast fashion treadmill, embracing quality and craftsmanship as a testament to my commitment to a more ethical world. My subscription to The New York Times Magazine keeps me informed and continuously inspired, connecting me to the ever-evolving tapestry of style.

For me, fashion isn't just about clothing; it's a canvas for self-expression and a mirror to my individuality. I firmly believe that style can be a force for positive change, a means to make a statement, and an art form that celebrates creativity and conscience. In my hands, fashion transforms into a harmonious symphony of elegance, sustainability, and timeless allure.
