1. Review the national development goals and educational goals of the Educational Act 1982 and 1986 Constitution. Does the present nursing curriculum follow these goals? 2. What does curriculum mean to you as a nurse practitioner? Explain the relevance curriculum to nursing practice. 3. Why it is important that the curriculum should reflect the urgent needs, issues and problems facing the country today? Why do you think revision of our present curriculum is continuously changing? 4. Interview a nurse practitioner. Ask about the nursing curriculum during his/her study days. a. Did the curriculum prepare him/her well for what he/she met in the actual world work? Yes, but some training and field must be updated. Researches must be made to improve the delivery of quality health care. b. Were the learning experiences planned according to the aims of national development goals in the constitution? Yes. c. What are their comments and suggestions? Lesson 2
