11/26/2013
On 11/24/13 at 1656 hrs, The Lynchburg Fire Department responded to the 700 block of Fleetwood Drive for a vehicle fire. After extinguishing the fire they discovered a human body inside the vehicle and immediately contacted the Lynchburg Police Department. At this point we are unable to determine whether the body is that of a male or female. The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating this as a suspicious death.

Update
The investigation has determined that the deceased in this case is an adult Caucasian male. The body was taken to the Medical Examiners Office in Roanoke for autopsy. At this point in the investigation the Lynchburg Police Department is not looking for any suspects in this case.
