The 1st meeting of the Students' Senate for the 2014-15 academic year was held on August 2nd, 2014. Eight members were present, including the President and secretaries for Culture, FMC, Maintenance, Accounts, SnT, and Mess. Minutes: 1st Meeting of the HEC, 2nd August, 2014


The 2014-15/3rd Meeting of the Students Senate (2014-15) was held
on Wednesday, 2nd August, 2014 in the HEC Room, Hall-X. It was called
to order by the President, HEC at 11:45 PM.

The Agenda items were taken up for consideration: ITEM No. 1

Installation of washing machine in the hostel.


Conclusion We discussed all the points for implanting the
central laundry system and came to the inference of installing 2
machine on a trail basis in a common area. Few more points such
as the provision of ironing will be discussed in the next meeting.
ITEM No. 2

Insect Repellent lights in the corridors.


Conclusion As most of the lights in the corridors are either
fused or broken we have decided to replace them with a Special
Yellow/Crem colour light which dont attract insects as the
fluorescent lights. The procedure to implement this would be
discussed in the next meeting and be started ASAP.

ITEM No. 3

Improving the infrastructure of the Hall Common Area


Conclusion We have decided to improve the quality of reading
room by installing AC and other luxuries also CCTV cameras shall
be installed in TV room, Reading Room and CC room. The CCTV
cameras proposal would be kept in front of the warden and the
procedure would start as soon as he approves.

No other agenda item was introduced.


The Meeting was adjourned by the President, HEC at 00:40 AM.
