    Parans L2 Hybrid, configurations for controlling LED

    Parans L2 Hybrid LED component consist of a series of LED strips, which is fed by a Talexx power
    supply unit, mounted on the the luminaire. If used with a dimmer or control systems such as DALI,
    DSI or similar, this power supply unit is exchanged.
    Please consider the following specification in such a case.

    Specifications
    The LED component consumes 15 W.

    The LED component supply voltage: 12VDC 5%, constant voltage. Constant current sources must
    NEVER be used. Never connect the LED component with power supply on. Make sure mains power
    is always interrupted when connecting/disconnecting the LED component. Always make sure polarity
    is correct from power supply to LED-strip. Reversed polarity will damage the LED component
    beyond repair.
    The LED component can only be dimmed with a power supply unit that uses PWM (Pulse Width
    Modulation). PWM-frequency used should be 150Hz-20kHz.

    Typical dimming scenarios


    Typical dimming scenarios are shown below for i) Undimmed, ii) Switch dimmed, iii) DALIcontrolled. Each case requires the correct power supply unit, delivering 12VDC output, and in case of
    dimming has support for the actual dimming method required.
