    Ethos
    The accountability of the statistical information that was used for our

    brochure comes from sources like the Texas department of


    transportation and the highway engineering manual where the
    information is published by individual who have a concern and have
    taken the time to research these concerning issues
    The tone of our brochure is one that lets the reader know that we are
    providing the with crucial information that has a large impact on their
    daily live and the lives of their loved ones by addressing the incidents
    that happen and how they are caused

    Pathos
    We chose the colors on our brochure to be similar to that of

    highway signs which are designed to not only inform


    individuals of precautions that should be made, but also are
    chosen specifically to catch the attention of as many drivers
    as possible.

    o Here we chose to use images of a harsh crash on a


    guardrail in order to get an emotion of worry or sorrow.

    o Often time in natural disaster the emotional


    responses are associated with empathy or even
    depression because of the amount of hardships
    and loss that they bring after the incident has
    occurred

    Logos
    The logos that were used on the brochure were that of most

    basic instincts that humans have which is the preservation of


    themselves as well as those close to them.
