This study will examine the physiological patterns of compulsive and non-compulsive video game users among high school students. It will describe students based on demographics like grade level, age, gender as well as average meals, sleep, water intake, and elimination. Using a descriptive correlational design from August to October 2011, the study will survey first to fourth year high school students ages 12 to 16 at Ramon Magsaysay National High School about their video game usage and physiological habits.

determine the physiologic patterns of compulsive users and non-compulsive users of video games among high school students. Specifically, it will be conducted to describe the respondents as to demographic characteristics such as year level, age and gender, average number of meals, average number of hours of sleep, average number of water intake and average number of elimination (urination and defecation) of compulsive users and non compulsive users of videogames. The design that will be used in this study is descriptive correlational in nature to determine the physiologic patterns of compulsive users and non-compulsive users of videogames from August to October 2011. Included in this study are first year, second year, third year and fourth year high
school students who are twelve to sixteen
years of age of Ramon Magsaysay National High School who are permitted to participate in the process and those who passed the initial assessment of compulsiveness. High school students who do not belong to the said age group are excluded. The samples will be drawn through stratified random sampling then simple random sampling. The respondents will be selected based on the first hand experiences on the topic of interest of the study. Data will be obtained through a researcher made survey form. The study focused on the physiologic patterns (meal, sleep, water intake, and elimination) and the compulsive users and non-compulsive users of videogames among high school students ages twelve to sixteen.
