8th Grade Girls Volleyball
The 8th grade girls volleyball meeting is TODAY Monday Feb. 29th after school in room 12. See you then!
8th Grade End of Year Activities
Listen up 8th graders. You only have a few days left to turn in your paperwork and permission slips for the
end of the year activities. The final deadline for turning it in is FRIDAY, MARCH 4th. After this date it will be
too late to sign up for the Great America trip, buy a class t-shirt, or order a gown for the promotion
ceremony. If you need a new packet, please pick one up in the student office or room 25.
Its Campaign Week for Student Government!
After watching the speeches for all 4 offices in advisory, 6th and 7th grade students will have an opportunity
to vote on Thursday and Friday by going to www.tallyspace.com/vote/adams . Polls will only be open
Thursday at lunch and after school, and Friday after school. Plus, well have classrooms open at both lunch A
and B on Thursday to vote! No voting can take place during class time. You will receive more information
about how to vote this week in advisory. If you have any questions, or cant login, talk to Mrs. Thornhill.
Lastly, keep in mind that all candidates worked very hard preparing posters. Please be respectful! (3/4)
CJSF
The March CJSF meeting will be held NEXT Wednesday, March 9 during B-lunch in Room 47.
Monday Melodrama
The last Monday melodrama madness class will meet Monday March 7th during both lunches. (3/1-3/7)
GSA Informational Meeting
GSA, Gay Straight Alliance, is having an informational meeting during lunch A and B next Thursday March 4th
in the Drama room. Come join us Students and teachers are welcome!

Collecting gently used or new clothing


The 6th grade ASB/Leadership Class is collecting gently used or new clothing, canned fruit and vegetables,
diapers and wipes to donate to Shepherds Gate, a local womens shelter. Student donations will be
collected from February 8th-March 4th. Please drop off your donation to your 6th grade Advisory teacher or
to room 10 or 11 before school or after school.
The 14th Annual BUSD Student Art Show is coming up!
ALL students are encouraged to submit a piece of art work for consideration. 15 pieces will be selected to be
shown at the Brentwood Community Center from April 11th -May 5th. All entries are due to Mrs. Thornhill by
Thursday, March 4th. Entries must have a submission form attached, available from your advisory teacher or
the student office. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Thornhill. (3/4)

Dodgeball!
4th quarter intramural will be dodgeball! This is for lunch B students only. You can have up to 8 players and
you need at least 6 to be a team. Pick up your sign up form from your P.E. teacher, Ms. Clapp, or Ms. Clapps
intramural webpage. All sign up forms are due before Thursday, March 10th!(3/9)
8th grade The Washington D.C. & New York City trip
8th graders, our deadline is fast approaching for the Washington D.C. & New York City trip. You have just 2
weeks left to decide if youd like to travel with us this summer June 13-18th, as we tour the memorials in DC,
see the sites in NYC and even attend a Broadway Show!

Marquee Birthday Messages
AMS has an electronic marquee located by the bus loop. You now have the opportunity to have your parents
purchase a birthday message to be displayed on the schools marquee on the day of your birthday! For more
details, please see the full document under Parents and Resources tab on our AMS webpage.
Snack Hut: Open every Thursday after school!
