News of the Week Reading: Our work on main ideas and details is continuing. The children have been researching their topics and trying to determine the main idea under each heading, then identifying the details that support that idea. Several of the book clubs are wrapping up their reading. I love how some are trying to finish a series. Writing: We are finishing our nonfiction writing and reading. We will share our books with our classmates. Math: This week we will assess math facts. Then we will review any concepts that the children still need support with. Word Study: We will review contractions and give the end of the year word study assessment. Social Studies: We will put together our colony project this week and review the history of Georgia.
No homework this week.
