     Best ISTE student award grabbed by ECE student named Sohan Patra at the completion held at RAYAT
    & BAHRA ENGG> COLLEGE in Oct 2009.
     Best paper selected at the national level conference by CSE student named Avikash Singh held at
    BGIET, Sangrur, dated 21 & 22 January, 2009
     Best project awarded to the student team of Electrical Engineering Department for the project named
    “RF Control Devices” at the project exhibition held at SLIET, LOngowal
     Best ISTE student awarded to Mr. Bhupendar Pal Singh of Mechanical Engineering in national level
    conference held at BGIET, Sangrur in 2009
     BGIET has bagged the top positions in the PTU merit list the semester wise. List of the students are as

    3. Jyotica – 3rd in MBA 4th Sem
    4. Vidisha – 8th in MBA 2nd Sem
    5. Shifali Vadhera – 2nd in ECE 7th Sem
    6. Preeti Dhawan – 5th in ECE 7th Sem
    7. Shekhar Kagra – 4th in EE 4th Sem
    8. Jaspreet Singh – 6th in EE 4th Sem
    9. Jasmeen Kaur – 2nd in CSE 4th Sem
     Our students have participated in various intra level technical events NSS events, Sports meet & won
    four gold & 18 silver medals in PTU Inter College youth festival
     Our students also bagged various prizes in inter college body competition, western dance
    competitions & cultural events

    Placement Achievements

     The BGIET is having an excellent run with the record highest pay package of rupees of 6-7 lakhs in
    various multinational companies
     34 companies visited the campus for placement in the year 2010 -11.
