    Akiva Berger

    Akiva Berger is a senior at Yeshiva University, majoring in Biology and attending the shiur of Rabbi Michael Rosensweig. Akiva hopes to go to dental school next year. He was born in NYC but grew up primarily in Atlanta, GA, and after high school attended Yeshivat Har Etzion (Gush). From his first semester at YU he began to take Yamim Noraim liturgy courses at the Belz School of Jewish Music. To complement his chazanus classes, he also worked in Congregation Shomrei Emunah in Englewood, NJ, with Rabbi Menachem Genack laining and davening for the amud twice a month for three years.
