    Vol. XXXVIII Issue 10 Artistry In Wood

    From The Brukner Center Brukner Nature Center is having Gary Denzler as our featured artist for our big fundraiser, the Art of Nature, on October 13th this year. For those of you who dont know, Gary is the bird trainer at the Cincinnati Zoo. Hes been there since the 70s and has trained Sam, the bald eagle that flies at the Cincinnati Reds games! Gary is also a master woodcarver who specializes in birds of prey. I thought maybe some of the carvers would be interested in attending the event this year for that reason. I was wondering if you could forward this e-mail to the club for me? Anyone who would like to be added to the invitation mailing list can send me their name and address and I would be happy to add them! Also if anyone would like to donate a carving to the silent auction to support the center we would be very grateful for that as well.     The club will have a table this year at AIW. We will be looking for material to show on the table as well as some help in setting up on Friday. Ive already gotten one volunteer Thanks Pat! Club Competition We had a great turn out for the club competition and Show and Tell. December would be the nexyt month, but since that is the Christmas party, well slip it to January. And dont forget, Show and Tell still goes on every month and bringing something to share gets you a ticket for the prize drawing.
