Welcome to another semester of opportunities
to grow in your self-knowledge and faith. I
hope the Christmas break was good for
reflecting on the past semester and for setting
some personal goals of getting more involved
with your faith this semester. If you have not
done so, making a commitment to be here
every Sunday will make a positive difference in your life. God
wants to be there for you every day. In the midst of a busy week if
you can commit to a daily Mass time, a Bible study time, or other
prayer time, you give God even more chances to make a difference
for you this semester. I encourage you to take time to discern how
Jesus is calling you to grow closer in your relationship with him and
to take advantage of the many opportunities we offer here at the
UCC to not only make a difference in your life but in the lives of
others as well.

May God bless you in all of your endeavors this semester.

Diocese of Austin Pastoral Plan
The Diocese of Austin is beginning the process to develop a new
Pastoral Plan, an important document that guides the mission and
direction of the Diocese for the next five years and responds to
pastoral needs. To better understand those pastoral needs, the
planning team is hosting a series of listening sessions throughout the
Diocese. These sessions are open to everyone, and it is their hope
that you will take part in this important process. The following
listening sessions will be in English:

Jan. 21, 7 to 9 pm, St. Helen Catholic School, Georgetown
Jan. 22, 7 to 9 pm, St. Joseph Parish, Bryan
Feb. 5, 7 to 9 pm, St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Austin
Feb. 6, 7 to 9 pm, Reicher Catholic High School, Waco

We encourage any interested UCC community members to attend
these upcoming sessions. If you decide to attend, please advise one
of our pastoral staff members so that we know that the UCC has
been represented at these gatherings!
