The ROTOVIT never support any P, the pressure in the lower compartment remains equal to the conveying air pressure. There is consequently q y no air leakage g and the q quantity y of air is limited to the volume of the pockets of the ROTOVIT. No leakage means no wear and a longer life for the ROTOVIT. A constant and optimal filling of the pockets is ensured that gives an excellent relationship between the rotation speed and the mass flow. The conveying Th i length l th has h no repercussion i on the th system t architecture, the pressure balancing being efficient at any value. Benefit for Explosion Protection of environmental equipment. Each discharge cycle of the hopper offers the opportunity to check the accuracy of the on-line flow meter and that way the flow measurement is reliable and not interrupted. The ISS valves support a heavy duty thanks to the total absence of friction between the material and the shutter itself.

In this architecture, the SCM is the feeder controller. It controls the whole feeding process. process The SCM controller main task is to regulate the massflow according to the SMARTFLOW measure. It recalibrate periodically the later based on the loss in weight part of each cycle using the On Line Calibration process. This way of doing allow a continuous mass flow measure during the hopper refill cycle. 3 possible Modes : Standard : Smartflow regulation with OLC. Emergency Mode 1 : Weighed without the Smartflow Emergency Mode 2 : Volumetric mode

Conveying Velocity. Typically the velocity at the start of the conveying system will be 20 to 24 m/s, rising to 28 to 32 m/s at the end of the pipeline before the coal enters the burner. These velocities are designed to ensure no pulsations in the pipe line occur due to material settlement or accumulation.

Operating Pressure. The operating pressure, assuming a 50mbar pressure drop across the burner, is typically between 200mbar and 500mbar 500mbar, depending on the conveying distance distance.

Phase Density The Phase density of conveying, will vary between 3:1 and 7:1 depending on the conveying distance and the requirements of the burner.

Bends and Bend Radius The bend radius of curvature must be 10 x the pipe diameter or greater. The bend must be smooth bore, with no steps or ledges. Must be at least 100 pipe diameters between bends. .

Pipe work Must be seemless. Must use alignment flanges to prevent steps or ledges. Cannot be run at angles other than 0 deg or 90 degrees. No expansion joints.
