OVERVIEW
The FWD Acura MDX is redesigned for
2014. It rides on a new platform and has
a new engine, improved fuel economy,
a new interior with easier third row access
and new telematics and connectivity options.
MDX performance earns good reviews as
does the all-wheel drive system. However,
pricey packages are needed to comparably
equip the MDX. They can push its MSRP to
over $54,000.
ENCLAVE PREMIUM ADVANTAGES
More luxury and convenience Enclave
Premium has luxury appointments that are
expensive options or arent offered on the
MDX: like a real wood-trimmed steering
wheel, cooled front seats and second row
captains chairs. Enclave also has standard
Remote Vehicle Start, luggage rack side
rails and Rear Parking Assistoptions on
the MDX.
More comfort and versatility Enclave has
better third row comfort that accommodates
adults, more cargo capacity. Enclave also
offers 8-passenger seating.

NEXT
Better connectivity and personalization
Buick IntelliLink is standard on Enclave and
includes many capabilities that the MDX
standard system does not offer, including:
HD Radio, enhanced voice recognition,
Pandora and Stitcher apps, Gracenote,
picture viewer capability and much more.
Advanced telematics and navigation
included OnStar and RemoteLink services
are standard on Enclave and provide greater
convenience. The new AcuraLink Connect
system requires an expensive optional
navigation package and lacks OnStars
depth of capabilities. In addition, all Enclave
models include access to OnStar Turn-by-Turn
Navigation features.

regular fuel Both vehicles are well-matched
in horsepower, but Enclave has the win for
torque. Enclave reaches peak torque sooner
at lower rpmproviding more responsive
acceleration capabilities. Premium fuel is
recommended for the MDX, but Enclave
uses regular, which can help save money
at the pump.
Diagnostics support included OnStar
Vehicle Diagnostics is included on every
Enclave. The AcuraLink Connect offers

OVERVIEW
Launched last year as the JX35, the QX60 is
renamed for 2014. It shares underpinnings
with the Nissan Pathfinder and includes
standard V6 power and front-wheel drive; all-
wheel drive is available. The cabin includes
middle row sliding/reclining seats with good
access to the third row. But, overall cargo
space is limited. QX60 customers will need to
opt for multiple packages to match the Enclave
Premium luxury and technology.
More luxury and convenience Unlike the
Enclave Premium, the QX60 requires option
packages for Remote Vehicle Start, cooled
front seats, a wood-trimmed steering wheel,
parking assist and luggage side rails.
Superior comfort and versatility
Enclave Premium has front seats with
more adjustment capability, standard

third row and more overall shoulder
room and hip room. The QX60 cant
