At night, when all is still the forest sentinel glides silently areas the hill

the poet addresses the owl as the guard or soldier of the forest . he describes
how the owl the moves above and across the hill and sits on the old pine tree
. the poet belief that the owl has a friendly appearance through this poem, the
poet disagrees with beliefs of people who think that beliefs of the owl as a
bad omer he says that the owl has brought no harm or bad luck to him infact
the owls cry is softer than a peacocks alls. He supports his views by saying
that if men have the freedom to speak then the oul should also have the
freedom to hoot. The poem ends with the poets ---------------- question as to
